Chapter 22: Dumbledel's Whip

"Ah......" Harry slumped back in his chair in frustration, "I think these two weeks have been terrible."

Harry was telling the truth, and he had been almost overwhelmed by the past two weeks. Locked up in lockdown for driving over England, forcibly pestered by the con artist Lockhart, stalked by crazed admirer and photography enthusiast Colin, plus heavy Quidditch training.

Now he heard voices that no one else could hear, and he even wondered if he was too tired.

"Any idea, Harry?" Hermione sat down next to Harry, "Stag? Did you hear the deer talking?"

"I don't think a deer would say anything like that," Harry straightened up from the couch, "and besides, I've never heard a deer speak before."

Harry thought for a moment and spoke, "All I remember is that the snake spoke to me."

"Snake!" Ron covered his mouth and whispered, and Hermione stared at Harry with wide eyes.

Harry didn't notice the change between the two, and talked lightly about his experience chatting with a python in the zoo before entering Hogwarts.

"A big snake tells you that it hasn't been to Brazil." Ron's voice bordered on moaning.

"It's not a big deal," Harry shrugged, "I'm sure there are plenty of them that can do that, maybe that's what Professor Capet calls talent."

Ron was silent, and Hermione shook her head nervously and whispered, "Harry...... Talking to snakes is Salazar Slytherin's talent, and this talent is called snake cloak, so the symbol of Slytherin House is a snake."

"But I'm not a Slytherin," Harry said casually, but he quickly remembered the scene from his first-year Sorting House, where the Sorting Hat told him that he would achieve great things in Slytherin.

Thinking of this, his expression froze.

"Harry, don't tell me about this, or anyone will suspect you as a Slytherin's great-great-great...... Sun's." Ron was also unusually serious.

"No way," Harry said, his mouth growing, "how could I be ......"

"It's not impossible," Ron whispered, "it's normal for pure-blood families to intermarry with each other, and Sirius and I are still relatives."

Harry was shocked, "You and Sirius?"

"You should be able to see it in their family tree." Ron shrugged.

"Gentlemen, let's not talk about this yet," Hermione pulled the conversation back to the bone, "Harry, I think the matter should be settled, what you heard tonight might be a snake crawling through a crack in the wall."

"But I hear it talking about death and killing."

"Maybe it's hunting prey, like a mouse?" Ron guessed.

Harry wanted to say that it felt bad for the snake to speak, like Voldemort, but he held back and didn't say it.

A few days later, while searching the library for a few books recommended by Professor Capet, Hermione stumbled upon Professor Capet again.

"Professor Capet, good afternoon." Hermione said hello quietly but warmly, for it was rare to run into Professor Capet in the library, at least only once.

Calvin closed a thick book and nodded to Hermione, catching a glimpse of the cover of the book the professor was reading "The Origin and Evolution of Spells". ….

She had heard from Professor Flitwick about the book, one of the most esoteric books in Charms, and at her current level, she couldn't read a page in two days.

"Professor, why are you studying Charms again?" Hermione asked curiously.

"Oh, that's right," Calvin pulled out a few pieces of parchment from under his book, "I'm going to start a club at school, would you be interested in joining it?"

"Is it about Fantastic Beasts? But I'm only in the second grade." Hermione's mood shifted twice in a short period of time, and her slightly amplified volume drew the displeasure of Mrs. Pince, the Administrator, who stared at her like an eagle.

Calvin smiled at Mrs. Pince, closed the book, and led it out of the library, and Hermione followed.

As soon as he left the library, Calvin said, "It's not all Fantastic Beasts. I wanted to experiment with a new way of teaching with clubs – I wanted to combine two or more subjects to teach."

"Originally, I was looking for a collaborator with Professor Barblin, you may not know her, but you can take her Ancient Magic Script class next semester. But due to her personal reasons, she left the school for a while, so I had to change my collaborator to Professor Flitwick."

Calvin pulled one out of the back of the parchment and handed it to Hermione, "If you can, please help me spread the word and stick it in your break room."

With that, Calvin turned and left the library to find Headmaster Dumbledore.

It should be said that one of the most surprising things for the students this semester was that Headmaster Dumbledore took up the whip again and taught the students.

Calvin walked outside the Muggle Studies classroom, where the fifth-year students had just finished class, and Dumbledore was still standing on the podium answering questions from some students who had questions, until he noticed Calvin standing in the doorway, and he asked the students to leave.

Yes, Dumbledore was also a professor of Muggle studies this academic year, and the original professor, Keriddy Bubbaghy, was transferred to teach ancient magical texts.

"This is your first time in my class," Dumbledore smiled softly, "Actually, I've always wanted you to come to my class."

"I've learned a lot from you, Headmaster Dumbledore," Calvin replied without a drop in the water, "but I'm surprised that you chose Royina's book."

"I don't think there's a better Muggle book in the world, and it fits my view of Muggles," Dumbledore gently stroked the book in his hand, "Did you come to me today for something?"

"Of course, of course," Calvin hadn't forgotten the purpose of his trip, "handing in the report that had been prepared."

"Ah, I heard Minerva tell me about your plan to start a club." Dumbledore looked at the report closely, "But it doesn't seem to be the same as what Minerva told me."

"Yes, as you know, Basida is no longer able to cooperate with my teaching, but fortunately, Professor Flitwick is also interested in the new teaching method."

"Because Magical Beasts is a compulsory subject, I plan to show the whole school on the weekends the combination of Magical Beasts and Charms."

"I'm going to apply for a loan to the auditorium for this, but Professor McGonagall rarely asked me to come and ask you to agree to this."

Calvin remembered Professor McGonagall's panicked look when she heard that she was going to borrow the auditorium.

"Well, I guessed," Dumbledore said with a smile, "the Fantastic Beasts conservation professor was going to borrow the Great Hall, and Minerva must have remembered the fire."

"But I'm also interested in your new teaching, so why shouldn't I agree?" Dumbledore winked at Calvin, "Maybe I'll be your student too."
