Chapter 26: The Dark Tide Surges
In addition to Calvin's mysterious little gift, the magic painting that stayed in the auditorium also attracted everyone's attention.
Some of the daring students gradually approached the magic painting, and found that there was a line of small writing in the painting, in addition to Professor Flitwick and Professor Capet.
"Courage, wisdom, tenacity, calmness. It's the secret to clearing the game." Fourth-grader Roger Davis read the small print.
"Looks like Professor Capet has left us a hint." A young black wizard with dreadlocks said.
Roger looked at the person who was talking, it was Lee Jordan, a good friend of the Wesley twins, and asked, "Are you going to try it?" Don't forget you're a Gryffindor student."
Lee Jordan waved his hand, "Hey, Roger, don't try to hurt me, Gryffindor is brave and not reckless."
At this moment, a large man pushed away the crowd, walked up to the scroll, and mocked, "It turns out that Gryffindors are a bunch of cowards."
"Flint, who do you say is a coward?" George and Fred finished sending all the communication crystals and hurried to the center of the auditorium.
As soon as Roger saw two of the most courageous people in Hogwarts coming, he immediately shouted, "Hey, George, Fred, I just heard it, Charlie has completed a similar test, tell us about it."
Fred stood next to Captain Gorilla of Slytherin, unconcerned about his jealous gaze, "I don't think Charlie's experience can help us much."
"The only thing that works is that it's not life-threatening—"
"But don't we dare go in without a hint?"
"Impossible!" George and Fred said at the same time.
The two of them walked up to the magic painting, took out their wands, and looked like they were about to go inside.
"Give them a little encouragement." Lee Jordan whistled and was the first to applaud.
Most of the onlookers applauded, except for the few Slytherin students around Flint, who crossed their arms and smiled mockingly, waiting for the two to make a fool of themselves.
"Looks like I can't go in if I don't go in." George said proudly.
"It's time to prove our mettle." Fred turned his head and shouted to Flint in an ostentatious manner.
The hands of the two touched the magic painting at the same time, and then the picture erupted with a golden light, and everyone couldn't open their eyes. When the students looked at the painting again, George and Fred were gone.
"Where did they go?" Roger asked quietly as he held his breath.
Lee Jordan circled around the magic painting and told everyone in surprise, "I don't know, it seems to have disappeared."
"They should be in the world." Cedric didn't know when he arrived in the crowd to answer questions from Roger and the other students.
"The world in the picture?" Lee Jordan couldn't believe it, "Is there a world in the magic painting?"
"It's a kind of magic from Professor Capet, and I haven't learned it yet." Cedric explained calmly.
"So did they succeed?" Roger asked hesitantly, not sure.
Cedric shook his head, "I guess it's just in, the real test is still inside."
The students present understood the whole process of the assessment, and more and more students gathered around the magic painting, waiting for the return of the Wesley twins. ….
The gathered students had already filled the auditorium, and Calvin, who had caused all this, had left the eucalyptus scene early.
After having another in-depth exchange with Professor Flitwick about the club's teaching model, he was about to go to the teachers' lounge to gather the opinions of other professors, but on the way, he ran into an official from the Ministry of Magic.
Pierce Hinkness, with a mustache on his chin and a burly build, saw Calvin coming over and went up to say hello enthusiastically.
"Hello, Mr. Capet, I didn't expect us to meet again." Pierce held out a hand and shook it with Calvin.
Calvin was also a little surprised by Pierce's appearance, as this was the second time he had seen each other in Hogwarts in a month.
"yes, I didn't expect that
We met so soon, you came to Hogwarts, did something happen to the Ministry of Magic?" Calvin asked a little strangely, he should have known from the spies in the Ministry of Magic as soon as he could.
Pierce waved his hand, "Not a big deal, Mr. Cape. After the last Salem attack on the Ministry of Magic, the Minister sent a note to the American Council for Magic. A delegation of theirs will come over in a few days to deal with this, but they ask to see Headmaster Dumbledore, so I'll come and report it."
"This kind of thing, can't you just ask the owl to send a letter, do you need to come here in person?" Calvin sensed something was wrong.
"That's right, Mr. Capet," Pierce scratched his head, "the owls that deliver letters in the ministry have been under attack so often lately, and quite a few important letters have been lost. But the Aurors are already on the hunt for it."
"But you also know, Mr. Cape," Pierce smiled helplessly at Calvin, "so far, the Aurors haven't made any progress."
"I see, if you still can't solve it, remember to ask me for help." Calvin said goodbye to Pierce.
Walking around the corner, Calvin looked back at Pierce's distant back, "The owl of the Ministry of Magic was attacked? Did Voldemort do it?"
At this point, Calvin felt someone hit him in the back, and when he looked back, it was the little girl with blond hair, a pair of turnip-shaped earrings, and a butterbeer bottle stopper necklace.
"Luna, be careful when you walk." Calvin pulled the fallen Luna up, noticing that the shoes on her feet weren't paired.
Luna Lovegood thanked Calvin, then looked around blindly, as if looking for something, and it seemed that this was how she bumped into Calvin.
"What are you looking for, little girl?" Calvin also wandered around with Luna's gaze.
"I'm looking for my friend." Luna's voice sounded ethereal and melodious, "She said she was going to the bathroom, but she never came back."
This little girl, who looks a little weird and a little nervous, really has friends? She didn't even wear a pair of shoes.
"Could she have gone back already? Why don't you go back to your academy's lounge and look for it?" Calvin tactfully persuaded.
"No," Luna's voice didn't change, and it was hard to hear the anger, "she and I don't belong to the same house, I'm Ravenclaw, and Ginny is Gryffindor."
Ah, Ginny. The youngest daughter of the Wesley family, although I don't know much about it, but with the character of the Wesley family I came into contact with, I shouldn't have made a move to leave my friends and go back by myself.
"Did you go to the bathroom to find her?" Calvin asked.
Luna nodded, "Yes, she's not there, it's an abandoned women's bathroom on the second floor."
So, there's a little wizard who went missing from Hogwarts Castle?
