Chapter VII Time Limit
If Ian had been alive and had been there, he would have heard Mir say it, but when he was dead, no one would have cared about the blessing.
Although Mir loves her and loves her very much, it can be seen that he is not a stalker, and although he can pretend not to care about the future feelings, it will be an unbearable torment in Mir's psychology.
He wasn't sure if Alina had left and had imposed her feelings on her through her father's marriage, so that she had to fall in love with other men, or if Alina didn't like the prince's son at all, or even disgusted it, and that she was simply out of pure marriage to strengthen her father's position and the family's position.
Mir considers the weight of himself in Alina's heart, and according to the other thought, Alina's heart will be more uncomfortable than Mir.
Mir even considered the tragic situation of Alina's future marriage, the prince's son is arbitrary, brutal, cruel and unkind, Alina will be in domestic violence for a long time, or his personality is different, he likes the new and hates the old, Alina will be in the cold for a long time, no matter which two situations Alina is in, Mir does not want to see.
Mir looked at Alina affectionately and asked, "Honey, the four-year period, is it okay?" β
The deadline that Mill had again insisted on had already been heard by Mary upstairs, and that there was a brief description of the murder that she had described from her daughter Alina, and she could not imagine what kind of murder would take four years.
Mary hurried downstairs with her clothes in her arms, she almost fell because of the steep steps of the staircase, she didn't want to see the two of them continue to argue, she needed to stop and persuade at once.
In the past few years, Mir has taken very good care of Alina and Mary, and she hopes to see with her own eyes in the future that they will enter the palace of marriage, and she looks forward to such a sacred moment.
If the two sides continue to argue, then the smell of gunpowder in the house will become even stronger, and Mary cannot now defend any decision of Alina as Alina's mother, after all, Alina is very young.
Alina heard an unusual sound and looked in the direction of the stairs, and she subconsciously ran over to support her mother and said.
"Mom, why are you here? Didn't you go pack your bags? It's almost too late to board the ship. β
"I hear you, I hear what you say, my dear, I agree with the four-year period that Mill said." Mary gasped a little, and she adjusted her breathing and said.
Alina stared at her mother in disbelief and said, "What? Do you agree? β
"Yes, we'll have to give him some time." Mary replied from the fairest point of view.
Mary knew very well that in addition to the relationship between men and women, Mir was a benefactor to the mother and daughter, and without Mir, Mary would not have been able to find her daughter easily.
Before Mary and Alina knew each other, the streets of New Orleans were plastered with a portrait of a beautiful little girl.
When Mary rushed back to New Orleans from Florida, she heard that there had been a fire in the French Quarter of New Orleans, and she did not find Alina's body in the rubble, however, she saw Alina on the portrait posted by Mill on the ruined walls.
Then Mary immediately tore it off and kept asking questions about the homeless, who were in a state of grief and were only concerned with finding traces of their families, and did not answer any of Mary's questions, and no matter how much Mary begged, their eyes did not fall on the portrait.
Eventually, Mary finally asked where Mill was from the mouth of a soldier, and after a few streets, she saw Mill leading Alina to play in Jackson Square, and she ran forward with tears in her eyes, Mary seemed to hear Alina screaming for her mother, so Mary struggled to pick up Alina and stroke Alina's hair.
Mary once praised Mir for her foresight and for knowing how to quickly return the bereaved children to their parents, and Mary repaid Mir by allowing Alina to live with Mir, and even Mary could try to live with them.
"Okay, as long as you don't object, I'll follow your arrangement."
Alina obeyed her mother's words, she turned to Mir and said, "Four years, I can wait, I hope you will come to France to find me as soon as possible." β
Mir didn't expect Alina to agree, and within the four-year period, he needed to grow up, at least his status should be the same as Alina's father's, or a level higher.
Mary packed all her belongings and took them downstairs one by one, and Alina ran to the door of the house, beckoned to the coachman on Bourbon Street, and told him to come in and get his things.
The coachman's voice replied clearly and sonorously, and Mill felt as if he had heard it somewhere.
When Mir saw the coachman walk into the first floor to pick up his luggage, his face was very familiar, it was the horseman who drove this morning, he was really a soldier.
Seeing Mir's expression showing confusion, Alina explained, "His name is Cole, and he is my father's guard, and my father's most effective subordinate. β
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Edward." Cole Miller said with a military salute to Mill.
Mir said unceremoniously, "I'm not happy at all." β
"I'm sorry about the morning."
Cole bowed deeply in apologies.
"It's okay, I understand you, that's an order."
"Yes, Mr. Edward."
Mir began to correct Cole for calling himself, Amos had appointed Mir as a detective, and he said, "No, please don't call me Mr. Edward, I'm a detective in New Orleans right now, you can call me Detective Mir, or Detective Edward." β
"Yes, Mr. Edward." Cole replied with his luggage on his back.
Mir pointed at him angrily and said, "That's enough, go get your luggage and leave my room!" β
"Okay, I'll leave right now, I don't want to stay here for a minute."
Mir hated Cole a little now, and as he watched Cole leave the house, he turned to Alina and said, "He'll probably be your father's guard for the rest of his life, and he really doesn't know how to be flexible at all." β
"Let's go, my detective sir." Alina wanted Mir to give her one last ride happily, coaxing him.
Mir was very irritable and said, "I can go with you, but I don't want to ride in his carriage, I hate his driving skills." β
Alina stood in the doorway and pointed to the other carriages and said, "You can choose any of them, but I can't guarantee that there will be more skilled drivers than Cole." β
Mir followed Alina's direction, and he saw Inspector Chris coming in front of him, much to Mir's surprise.
"Dear Miss MassΓ©na, Lady Rosalie, for your safety, I will personally escort you aboard." Inspector Chris greeted with the most respectful manners and expressed his intention to Alina and Mary.
"Excuse me, Inspector Chris." Mary said.
