Volume I: The End of the Outlaw 18

The dwarves always shouted for Kazmodan before they charged. But I never figured out if the ice and snow was called Kazmodan or Danmoro.

Walking slowly through the snow and ice, it snows every day, and even on a sunny day, you can feel the snow falling in the sky. He told me that this was the territory of the dwarves, and I saw no dwarves, only majestic mountains and snow.

The cold air did make me more awake. Especially in the morning and evening, the exposed skin is frozen and painful. The large and small ones also became an ordeal. I've been complaining, but the old man doesn't seem to be in a hurry. We walked slowly along the winding paths in the mountains. Although I have doubts, the number of questions I have asked has decreased significantly in the past few days.

Four days later, we came to the foot of a mountain, and I saw a huge tunnel entrance in the distance. There are more than a dozen sentry posts at the entrance. I saw the dwarven guards.

"Where is this?" I asked.

"Danmoro North Gate."

"How far is this from the dwarven capital, Ironforge?"

"I don't know." He said.

Observing the dwarves' outfits from a distance, there is not much difference from what I remembered. They weren't tall, but they had a horizontal back that made me think I might not be able to beat them.

A red-bearded dwarf happily gave the old man a parchment-like object after accepting a small bag. Then we entered the cave tunnel for an unknown length of time. It seems that this method of rapid communication works well in any place.

The cave was very wide and high, and I guess it was more than enough for me to walk in this carriage side by side. What surprised me even more was that there was a barracks stationed in the cave. Torches are not everywhere in the dimly lit tunnel, and the flickering and flickering tunnels are filled with a sense of depression all the time. The only thing that feels good is that it's much warmer inside the tunnel than outside.

It was afternoon when I entered the tunnel, and it was already evening when I left the tunnel. But having slept in the tunnel, I knew it was supposed to be the next day. The moment I walked out of the tunnel, I was surprised and couldn't close my mouth at all.

"Old man! Where is this? Hey! I remember that it was winter when we entered the tunnel, could this be a change of time and space? ”

Before entering the tunnel, it was a cold and snowy land, and the wind was biting, but when I walked out of the tunnel, it was as warm as summer. If I hadn't walked through it myself, I would have felt like I had traveled back in time.

I looked around in surprise. He pressed the heavy clothes under his body. The old man ignored it, but drove away quickly. It didn't stop until we turned back and couldn't see the sentry posts or campfires anymore.

Lying on the lawn and looking at the starry sky, my mood rises and falls. The past replayed before my eyes one after another, the warm breeze mixed with the scent of the earth and grass, the insects in the grass, and the slight crackling of firewood in the fire. Let me be in a trance I feel that all this seems beautiful and unreal.

This is the kind of quiet and peaceful world I want.

Stroking the wound on my abdomen, the wound on the surface seems to have closed, and the wound on the back of the waist should be fine.

"My wound seems to be much better, thank you." I turned my head to look at the old man under the tree

He still didn't talk.

Angry that night, I thought I could easily put down this old man with a hunched back, beat him up and ask for something. Although the purpose is mainly to beat him up and get angry.

Bullying a dry old man wasn't worth bragging about, but I couldn't care about it anymore, and I bravely pounced on the pain of the wound. Then the old man tripped me with ease and knocked me out with one punch.

In the next few days, I not only learned to observe with my eyes, but more importantly, I couldn't beat him. After my hands were tied for two days, I finally couldn't help but beg the old man for mercy. Not only was it uncomfortable to be tied up, but I didn't want to lift my pants without wiping my butt after wearing a tuba.

The morning sun is exceptionally beautiful. Standing on the grass, I greedily basked in the bright morning light. That feeling of freedom came to my face.

I'm still alive!

The mountains in the distance to the west were extremely majestic, and the feeling of oppression that towered into the sky made my chest a little choked. If it weren't for the tunnel, how difficult it would have been to climb over the mountains, and perhaps no army in the world would have been able to climb over this natural barrier with equipment and supplies.

I know that the dwarves have a warm, moist land, just on the other side of the icy snow. I certainly remember its name clearly - Lockmodan! If you hadn't walked through this land yourself, it would have been hard to believe that one side of the mountain was freezing and cold, while the other side of the mountain was a warm and warm area full of green trees, green grass and blooming wildflowers.

"Lockmodan!" I laughed and shouted, "This is Lockmodan!" I'm here at Lokmodan! "All of a sudden, I felt the freedom and infinite curiosity that I had only experienced in my childhood.

"Hey old man, there's a dam here! Boulder dam! You know what? It's spectacular! Have you ever been? Yes! Standing on top of the dam you can see the whole north! On the other side of the dam...... It's a wetland. "It would be nice if Ellie was too. I want her to see this magnificent view, too.

The old man silently packed his things and got into the carriage. He didn't care about me letting go of my emotions like a fool.

Continuing south to near dusk, I saw a huge town, a dwarven town.

"Is it there? Geezer! Ogaz! Is that Ogaz? I patted him on the shoulder and said excitedly.

"No, it's still far away." The old man flicked his whip into the air.

Dwarven towns are nowhere near as bells and whistles as human towns. There are no towers, and there are no tall buildings. I really wouldn't describe their style of architecture, with their doors and windows and pointed points growing out of their undulating little dirt bags. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that they are like rabbits and moles.

The old man took me to visit an older-looking dwarf with a gray beard. They seemed to know each other, muttering things I didn't understand. Seeing that they shook hands, the dwarf happily stamped his stamp on the parchment.

"Who is he?" We walked out of that low hole, I asked.

"Mayor here, Haggis Barn."

"You haven't told me where this is."

"Sersama." The old man walked straight down the hill. "The largest town in Lokmodan."

I don't really know if this is the biggest town in Lokmodan, but I don't really feel the noise or bustle at night.

We came to a large mound. With his head down, he slipped into the tavern that the dwarves dug into the mound like rabbits. It was probably because the soil was thick enough, and when we walked in, we felt the same buzz as most taverns.

Once again, I received the dwarf's attention, and to be honest, I was still a little unaccustomed to it. You feel uncomfortable staring at you with those little eyes under their brow bones, which are taller than chimpanzees. Even the two dwarves who were fighting in the hall stopped to look at the two of us.

The old man silently led me to a place to sit down.

Pretending to be calm, I ate two servings of roasted wild boar patties under the watchful eyes of the dwarves. The first one was very fragrant, and the second one was so tired of me that I forced myself to swallow it because of the face of a female dwarf who looked like a man at the bar all the time.

But I have to say that the dwarf beer is unexpectedly good. In particular, the beer called Rhapsody Ale made me want to die. The entrance is soft but thick, and the thick wheat fragrance with a unique burnt bitterness is strung from the mouth to the nasal cavity, and the moment it is swallowed, an indescribable refreshment rushes straight to the Tianling cover, and the mouth is a little sweet with a burp in one breath.

I drank too much and drunk beer, and when I woke up the next day, I was lying under a table in the lobby of the tavern. The old man's disdainful look made me embarrassed to ask if I had done anything out of the ordinary last night.

"It's a miracle that you're alive until now." Here's what he said about me.

We didn't stay long in Selmasa, and the next morning we hurried north. Still dizzy, I sat in the bumpy car and threw up twice. I hate that feeling.

From morning to evening, a huge castle is revealed, and the castle-like structure looks like it has grown out of the mountains. The avenue in front of the castle is lined with several huge pillboxes. Huge warhammer markings are carved into both sides of the castle gates.

"Old man, where is this?"

"It's coming soon."

"Ogaz? Are we almost there? ”

"Don't talk, don't look around. If we're a fool, maybe we'll not be in trouble. The old man's words didn't seem to be mocking me.

I could feel that the attire and atmosphere of the soldiers here were very different from what I had seen before. Most of them were dressed in silver armor. I don't know what material the two huge horns on the helmet are made of, but it's really shocking to look at. Their patrol came out of the castle, I had never seen such a huge goat, it should be called a war goat. Although the mounts are not armoured, it is a sight to behold at their strong legs. I just don't know what these sheep taste like.

The old man warned me, but I watched everything around me with more curiosity.

The mountain tunnel the day before yesterday had already shocked me, and this mountain tunnel subverted my cognition. The more you go inside, the more you realize that this is not a tunnel at all. It's a complex of buildings in the mountains, but this tunnel runs through them all!

In my poor memory, I remember that there was an extremely long mountain tunnel north of Lokmodan, which connected the vast wetlands of the north.

I don't know how much time it took to pass through the tunnel, and the concept of day and night was completely lost in the tunnel. If we were to rest and sleep, we would have walked for two days.

Tunnels connect the castles in the mountains, and there are also fortresses built between them. And the castles and fortresses dug in these mountains were inhabited not only by soldiers, but also by a large number of civilians. I was completely impressed by the endurance and skill of the dwarves, and I couldn't imagine how they could have carved out such a miracle in the mountains! It's too big and too long!

When I walked out of another section of the tunnel and stood on a high hill and looked out at the vast wetland swamps in the north, I finally knew the name of this mountain, and there was only one name for the entire mountain tunnel, Ogaz Fortress!
