Volume I: The End of the Outlaw 20

Curled up under a big tree, I finally survived until dawn.

The clothes were completely soaked, and the blanket had become very heavy after drinking water, and there was no trace of warmth from the blanket. Looking at the cane standing there, I was trying to find my way. I was looking forward to the sun coming out soon.

The rain finally stopped.

I wrung the water out of the blanket little by little, but the damn blanket was still heavy. I estimated the direction of the rising sun, constantly correcting the direction of progress. While nibbling on the crocodile meat that had changed a little taste, he moved forward one foot deep and one foot shallow.

I was thinking about whether I should walk barefoot, my boots were already soaking wet. I don't know if it's true or not, and I don't remember exactly, but I just want to keep my boots dry. This is the most important thing to do to save your feet. But now there's a fart dry. I just felt like my boots were heavy. My body temperature gradually dried my clothes.

I was trying to remember how to discern the direction and time with my bare hands in the wild...... After all my efforts, I relentlessly admit that I can't remember anything. It's hilarious to think about, and for a while I was obsessed with thinking about the kind of thing that if you were given a bunch of stuff, you would pick a few to survive in the wild.

I'm a total now......

Suddenly, there was a chaotic sound of hooves behind me, and I almost sat on the ground when I turned around! Two armoured dwarves rode on two huge mounts and ran towards me.

They came close and grabbed the reins, and a blackbeard yelled at me with a warhammer! I spread my hands in panic and waved my hand to show I didn't understand.

"Who are you!" Another red-bearded dwarf yelled at me. This guy is like a bell.

He can speak our language! That's great.

I was overjoyed and quickly replied. "I'm a traveler and I'm lost."

Redbeard seems to be translating Blackbeard.

“azregahn?” Blackbeard stared at me. I looked closely and saw a pair of small eyes under his thick eyebrows. He yelled at me again.

"Where are you from?" Blackbeard finished speaking, and Redbeard translated.

"South, Stormwind Kingdom."

“ho! Ahz-dagum kaelaag? (Stormwind Kingdom)" Redbeard stared at me in surprise.

Blackbeard laughed out loud when he heard Redbeard's words, followed by a whine.

He didn't believe it. I don't believe it either. You alone would not have been able to cross that frenzied land. Redbeard leaned forward, his tone questioning.

"It's really tough, I've been gone for a long time." With that, I quickly lifted my clothes, revealing the wounds on my stomach and waist.

“Am khaz am red grum kaelsag gor akhaz grum。” Redbeard stared at my wounds and tilted his head to Blackbeard.

Blackbeard smiled, and this smile made my heart furious. “geardum!” He shouted with a laugh.

I looked at Blackbeard blankly, and then at Redbeard.

"He said you were a warrior." Redbeard said to me.

“Skalf kha ruk modor?” Blackbeard said to me.

"Where are you going?" Redbeard translated it to me.

"Riptide City." I answered truthfully. "I want to go to Riptide first."

Blackbeard's tone was noticeably less blunt when he heard Redbeard's translation. “Kaelsag Modr? ho,geardum! RoobuSh hrim grum。 ”

"What's your name?" Redbeard said.

"Mason." I hurriedly replied. Blackbeard smiled at me, pulled the reins and turned away.

"You can come with us." Redbeard said to me.

"Thank you, huh...... Where are you going? ”

“Mogoth 。” Redbeard glanced at me and translated, "Maude Fortress, friend!" With that, he turned his mount and walked back.

Only then did I realize that there was a team parked not far away, as well as two large cars.

Sitting on the roof of their car, I was finally able to take off my boots. I guess I'm very embarrassed right now. The dwarves around me were all looking at me. I unfolded my soaked blanket and put it on the side of the car, then pulled out my soaked clothes. Several of the dwarves burst out laughing.

When I pulled the crocodile paw out of my bag, the dwarves let out a burst of laughter.

"What else can you conjure out of your bag?" Redbeard said.

I pulled out another paw and a few pieces of meat. I sniffed the paw, and although it had been soaked in the rain, it should still be edible. Redbeard laughed and almost fell off his mount.

"What an interesting fellow, how many days have you been walking in the swamp?"

"Three days. I walked for three days from the time I got out of that outrageous tunnel. I'm lost. ”

"Well, three days." I saw him looking at me with a big grin. "You're in the right direction, friend."

"I've been groping my way forward. There is no road, I can't find the way. ”

"This swamp used to be inhabited by one of our tribes, but they have all moved away. It's been too long, too long, and the road is gradually disappearing. ”

"You mean Black Iron?"

"No, it's the Brute Hammer Clan. Well...... Black Iron, you know Black Iron too? Have you seen them? ”

"Well, I guess I've seen it. I didn't dare touch them. ”

"Wise choice...... They are a bunch of thugs, murderers, madmen. Have you humans in the south come into contact with them? Have you ever had a conflict? ”

"I don't know if there was a conflict, but I hope there hasn't...... But I've heard their stories. ”

"Hmph, you're lucky to make it through that land alive. Maybe...... It's still a bit of strength. Haha, I'm not dead after three days of wandering around here. There seemed to be a hint of praise in the dwarf's tone.

"The god of luck is on my side." I say.

"Did you see that? There are trees in front. He pointed ahead. This tree is the signpost. ”

I followed his hand and saw two large trees growing lone in front of me. When we got closer, I looked at the two trees carefully, and I didn't see any clues.

"This swamp is actually full of mud and pits. There are also lurking crocodiles and other messy things. I don't know if you've seen anything. ”

"Haven't had time to see the other mess you said."

"Hmph, you see that tree can guide us in the direction so that we don't fall into it." He looked at me and said, pointing to the puddle next to me and saying, "If you step in it with one foot, you will have no bones left." ”

These words make my heart palpitate.

"You even hunted a swamp crocodile, friend. Well? What about your weapons? ”

"I lost it during the battle." I can't say I don't have a weapon.

"If you don't meet us, your luck seems to have come to an end. There's still a long way to go. He looked at me.

Redbeard's name is Grista. Tie. is a garrison officer at Maude Fortress. That Blackbeard was his cousin and his superior, Inez. Iron whiskers. Their family guards the Maude Fortress, the northern gate of the wetlands. I don't have any impression of where this strange Morder Fortress is.

Go around in the swamp. It's a mud pool everywhere, as they say. A little further north, you can occasionally see the remains of a vehicle that has fallen into the mud.

After another three days of walking, the ground under my feet became more and more solid, and when I saw the mountains in the distance, Iron Mountain told me that we were finally out of the swamp.

It didn't seem far, but it took almost a day to get to Maude Fortress.

In addition to being glad that I made it out of the swamp alive, I was even more excited that I saw the sea!

Ocean! That's right! Maude Fortress faces the sea to the north. My heart suddenly became excited. And when I looked at the land across the sea, I had tears in my eyes. I'm almost there! I'll be able to live there!

The Maude Fortress is backed by mountains and faces the sea, I ask Iron Mountain, do you copperbeard tribe still have a navy? He said he hadn't heard of it. The Copperbeard people love to make holes, and the Copperbeard people do not go to the sea.

When I asked why he was building this way since he didn't go to the sea, he couldn't answer, and he said that he didn't have him when he built it, and that this place had been built for thousands of years. Inquisitive, I asked him how old he was, and Iron Mountain smiled and forgave me. It is rude to ask the age of a dwarf.

Although the dwarves are short in height, they are not short in the holes they dig. They hollowed out the mountain and built houses in it, not just digging tunnels and burrows like rats. Although I had never seen Ironforge in real life, I was already struck by the scale of the construction of Maud Fortress.

The inside of the fortress was neither cold nor damp, and after looking at it for a long time, I couldn't figure out how they kept the cave dry and the right temperature.

The night party wasn't a special treat, but it was the most decent meal I've had in all my time. I can't seem to remember what the kebab tasted like, or what it felt like to crumble the garlic bread, and I suddenly remembered the spiciness, as well as the richness of the rhapsody.

I really can't appreciate the music of the dwarves. Their deep but powerful voices sing any song as if they were going into battle to kill the enemy. And when their chubby bodies were bouncing and jumping and even spinning on the ground, I couldn't help but laugh.

"Humans look bad for drinking." It was the last thing I heard as Iron Mountain helped me to my bed.

After a happy time, it can often be a little unpleasant. In the second half of the night, I felt more and more unwell, not only did I have a terrible headache, but my stomach also ached. The dwarves' doctors didn't seem to be any better than the humans, and I was tossed up and down by them.

The dwarven doctor named Ferrum, who didn't know if he was a veterinarian, pricked me with a dagger in the palms of my hands and feet and bled me. When he was about to stab me in the stomach again, I decisively rejected his offer.

"What else do you have to do? Herbs, or what? I gritted my teeth and said to Tie Shan.

Tie Shan shook his head seriously and said, "If you can't stand the pain too much, I can help you knock you out." ”

"Thank you so much! Yes...... You'd better knock me out. I can't take it anymore. ”

Tie Shan came up decisively, and before I could squeak, I felt a sudden whirlwind. Iron Mountain punched me in the face.

"Oh, no, it doesn't seem to be working. Looks like you're pretty resistant! ”

"Grista, he seems to be a little bad, his face is so bad." It seems that Ferrum is not very blind as a doctor.

"Poof...... Look at your squeamish look! Well, Ferrum, find two more guys, and we'll take him to Agra. ”

"Are you going to change doctors?" I say.

"No, she's not a doctor, she's a witch!"
