Chapter 9: The Hogwarts Express
There was a whistle and the train started.
The scenery outside the window begins to change, from slow to fast, showing the beauty and vastness of nature.
The four of them chatted enthusiastically, Roark and Claude asked about the wizarding world, Hansen was interested in the Muggle community, and Ralph happened to know a little bit about it.
As they spoke, the train had left London and was speeding along a field full of cattle and sheep.
Everyone couldn't help but look out the window and watch the fields and pastures pass by.
There was silence for a moment, and the noise filled the carriage again.
At about half past twelve, there was a loud "click" in the aisle.
A smiling woman with dimples on her face pushed open the door of her cubicle and asked, "Honey, do you want to order food?" ”
Ralph didn't buy it, and he had no interest in collecting chocolate frog paintings.
Probably because of his mother, Roque bought a few chocolate frogs.
Claude, like Ralph, didn't buy snacks.
Hansen bought some Bibi flavored beans, pumpkin pie and Blowbao Super Bubble Gum, and offered them to the friends present.
Roque also gave each of them a chocolate frog, but he had to return the picture to him, and he planned to try to collect one.
Seeing this, Ralph also opened the suitcase, first took out the pastry made by Ms. Rosmerta, and smelled the aroma in the carriage, he felt hungry.
Later, some of the Froomes' sweets were brought out, which contained some new products that had not yet been put on the shelves.
In the same way, Ralph gave them to his new friends.
To be honest, Mrs. Romerstad's pastry tasted really good, and after eating, Hansen felt that his pumpkin pie was not fragrant.
But Claude was a little embarrassed, blushing and said, "Thank you." ”
Ralph waved his hand nonchalantly, not to mention Roque and Hansen.
"Claude, how's your family doing?" Ralph asked.
"Alas! You don't know, don't look at Claude now, the conditions of his family are ...... Hmm....."
Before Roque could finish speaking, he was covered by the red-headed Claude.
Seeing this, Ralph shook his head, "That's not bad, huh?" ”
Claude nodded.
"That's easy, Muggle-born wizards can exchange pounds for gold galleons in a limited amount, but precious metals, gems and the like are hard currency in the wizarding world, and they can also be exchanged for Galleons at Gringotts, and there is no upper limit."
"Really?" When Claude heard this, he looked at him with sparkling eyes.
"Yes." Ralph nodded.
After a moment of pleasant conversation, Hansen opened a bag of Bibi beans and beckoned everyone to eat them together.
Under Hansen's explanation, everyone knows the magic of these beans, each bean contains different flavors, and what flavors you can eat depends on luck.
Looking at Hansen, who was eager to try, everyone picked one each, although there was no difference in appearance.
"Ah, ha, it's spicy, it's spicy, I'm spicy." Hansen gasped and said excitedly.
"I'm cool, it should be mint." Roque said.
"Coconut, my favorite." Claude said.
"Herring-smelling." Ralph said, throwing Hansen a candy. Hansen untied the candy wrapper and put it in his mouth, the expression on his face instantly relaxed, cold and comfortable.
"Oh, the smell of canned herring?" Claude exclaimed.
"Well, it's the taste, not the smell. Ignore its smell, it actually tastes pretty good. Ralph defended the canned herring.
"Ralph, where did you buy this sugar, it's cold, it tastes so good." Hansen asked, "Canned herring, what's that?" Is it tasty? ”
"It was sent by a neighbor in Hogsmeade Village, and the couple opened a candy store called Duke Honey's Candy Store, so they can go shopping when they have time." Ralph explained.
Then they started to give Hansen canned herring, and Hansen insisted that he wanted to taste it, and Claude was willing to give him one.
Then they started picking beans again.
At this time, the fields outside the car window became more and more barren, and a neat field of farmland had disappeared.
Followed by a grove of trees, meandering rivers and dark green hills, all the more dangerous and inviting under the dimming sky.
Ralph pulled out his wand after picking out a few weird flavors in a row.
"Hey, brother, what are you going to do?" Hansen asked.
"Mr. Ollivander said my wand would bring me good luck." Ralph said with a bit of grumbling.
The three of them looked at each other, not knowing what to say.
Ralph put his wand in the air and let it float naturally, stunned everyone in the carriage.
"I want a fruit-flavored one." Ralph said to the wand.
The wand shuddered slightly, pointing at a certain bean, and everyone looked at it.
"I'll try it." Hansen took advantage of everyone's lack of attention, and quickly threw the beans into his mouth, "It is indeed fruity." ”
Ralph tried a few more times, all within the range he specified.
"It seems that Mr. Ollivander is right, your wand does bring you good luck." Roque said, and Claude nodded in agreement.
"Coach, I'm going to learn this." Hansen looked at Ralph wistfully, as did Roque and Claude.
"Don't think about it, first of all, you have to have a wand like mine that can bring good luck.
Then, learn the [Levitation Charm], which is available in the first-grade textbook, and practice it to the point of casting spells without a wand.
Finally, the connection between you and your wand needs to be strong enough. ”
Ralph spoke to them.
They looked at each other, and they couldn't understand a single word, so why couldn't they understand it when they were connected together?
"I think you're going to Ravenclaw." Hansen said.
"Perhaps." Ralph said casually.
They give up, and they are not satisfied with the first step, let alone the second and third steps that they do not understand.
"Do you know how to sort the house? My mom told me that I had to successfully cast a spell. Roque said.
"My brother told me to defeat a troll." Hansen said with rare seriousness, "Ralph, what about you?" ”
"They didn't say anything to me, they just mysteriously told me that they would know when the time came." "But I think it's going to be a hat." ”
"Hat?!" *3
"Well, I've dreamed about it, but I don't know what it is." Ralph said.
"Is it so amazing? Hats, how to do it? Roque sighed.
"Of course I wear it." Hansen replied immediately.
"We'll know then, but I'm not sure, I think we should probably practice magic, starting with the levitation charm." Claude said.
Ralph nodded and said, "It may be that it pulled us into a dream and tested in the dream, so that it wouldn't hurt us." ”
With that, the cheerful spell practice time began.
