Chapter Thirty-Nine: The Professor
In class, the duel scene became more and more gorgeous, and Ralph and Professor Gradir changed from fighting to showing off their skills, or rather acting.
In front of them stood a lion and a fire dragon, both of which consisted of fireworks emitted by the [Spark Charm].
The lion was a majestic male lion, with a golden-red mane fluttering, as if in the wind, and the claws that flashed white cold light slapped fiercely towards the opposite side.
On the opposite side is a Norwegian spinosaurus, when the professor used the [Spark Charm] to construct a lion, Ralph originally planned to build a thunderbird, how did he know that the fire dragon was more suitable for this spell.
The Norwegian spinosus flicked its black-red tail and violently touched the lion's claws, bursting out a large number of fireworks. The two behemoths dodged the fireworks with a nimbly flash.
The fire dragon fluttered its heavy dragon wings, and the wind that fanned out carried the sparks and floated to the opposite side. It flew.
The lion attacked, ran wildly, jumped, and the lines on his body were vividly displayed, as if they were real.
Opening its mouth, its pale fangs attempted to pierce the dragon's wings, but was trampled down by the dragon.
The fire dragon managed to gain air supremacy at the cost of sacrificing one leg.
Professor Gradir also looked at Ralph's dragon with interest, to see if it could breathe fire like a real dragon.
Looking at the Norwegian spiny dragon rising into the air, Ralph felt that the flames that made up the body seemed to have changed, and he was more connected to himself.
The fire dragon roared silently into the sky, opened its mouth downward, and a huge tongue of fire erupted from it, and pounced straight on the great lion.
Ralph unleashed the Spark Charm at the dragon again and again, keeping it in shape.
Eventually, the lion dissipated, and the dragon stopped spraying, leaving only one head in the air.
"Ralph, you won." Professor Gradir looked at Ralph, who was slightly pale, and said with a big smile.
But, as you know, it was Ralph who lost.
Professor Gladir breathed steadily, his face was as usual and even red, and he didn't even sweat on his body.
Ralph, on the other hand, was short of breath, pale, and his hair was wet, as if he had come out of a steamer.
Professor Gradir unleashed a [Drying Charm] on Ralph, who subconsciously picked off his wand and flew towards the Professor.
The professor also couldn't help but step to the side, and the spell hit the blackboard, and the original board book was all gone.
"I'm sorry, Professor." Ralph awkwardly apologized.
"It's okay, Ralph." Professor Gladir was also a little embarrassed, and he cast a [drying charm] again, and this time Ralph did not hide and successfully dried his hair.
The professor then turned the classroom back into its original state, and everyone returned to their seats.
After giving Ralph 10 points, Professor Gladir resumed the lesson, again with the Spark Charm.
After watching a duel called the "Spark Cup", everyone's understanding of this spell has improved a lot, and although it is not yet like Ralph, skilled students can already play some small tricks.
A simple example, William, as a lover of the "hard before easy" talent, has been able to change the color, brightness, and shape and sound of sparks.
This made Professor Gradir extremely happy, thinking that he was an educator who had been delayed by the duel, and generously added five points to Ravenclaw.
In the corridor on the third floor, the young wizards poured out of the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, chattering about the content of today's class, and there was no doubt that Ralph was going to be famous again.
But he was left by the professor to talk, and his roommates were wandering the hallways boredly.
"Why were you left behind by the professor again?" Seeing Ralph approaching him, William asked.
"Do you think I want to?" Ralph smiled wryly, satisfying their curiosity:
"The professor asked me if I would be interested in participating in the International Wizarding Duel Tournament, and he and Professor Flitwick could be my advisors. He told me not to worry, and if he wasn't there, I would go straight to Professor Flitwick......"
The four of them talked as they walked all the way, came to the auditorium, and sat down to eat under the friendly greeting of everyone.
Back in the dormitory, all four of them were paralyzed in bed for a while, there was no way, they had to climb the eighth floor to get to the dormitory, they were too tired.
Even the full gift next to Ralph's bed, everyone just looked at it curiously.
"Hmm~"
Ralph rolled over the bed, struggled to his feet, and sat on the edge of the bed, ready to begin unpacking the present.
At the top, there was a letter from Mr. and Mrs. Frum.
Opening the envelope, Ralph read it carefully, then folded it, stuffed it back into the envelope, and set it aside.
Then he began to unpack gifts, which were filled with candy, joke magic toys, quill pens, different inks, a large stack of parchment, and so on.
The corners of Ralph's mouth twitched, because he had more pajamas and more socks, one set a day, one pair a day, and it would take a month or so to wear all the amount he had now.
Of course, not all the gifts in it were his, but some were for his roommates, and the amount was not less than his, or even more.
With a wave of his wand, Ralph delivered the gift to their respective bedside with the name on it.
Seeing this, William jumped up at once.
"Merlin, your neighbor is so good! Ralph. William said happily, and immediately opened the gift, and did not forget to ask.
"What is written in that letter?"
"It's nothing, it's just that I don't want to go back today, and I'll go back when there are no classes on the weekend." Ralph said.
"It's really a family that encourages you to break the school rules." William complained.
"You don't have to, William." Daniel accepted the gift and spoke for Ralph's neighbor.
"Hey, hey, when I didn't say it." William smiled admittedly and opened the gift earnestly.
"They seem to have prepared a banquet and invited you." Ralph continued.
"Oh yes!"
William was so happy that he rolled on the bed.
Daniel and Claude were a little nervous, this was the first time they had done this kind of thing, and they didn't know what to do.
Claude kept asking Ralph "what his neighbors liked" and "what gifts they should bring with them".
At first, Ralph replied seriously, but later he got impatient and said directly that they like you, you just bring you over.
This made Claude blush, and asked, really?
Ralph lifted his forehead and explained to him in a kind voice that he was only an 11-year-old child!
After opening the gifts, everyone sorted them out and went to bed.
With the curtains closed and his pajamas on, Ralph lay on the bed, closed his eyes, and recalled what Professor Gradir had said to him:
"You have a very high affinity for fire magic, and I believe you already found it out during the duel. Listen to Philius, you intend to go down the path of the enchantment. ”
"As your professor, although it has been less than a year, I suggest that you start with the [Fire Spell] and carefully feel the traces of your magic when you use it."
"Don't touch anything related to Runiwen just yet, feel the traces of your magic when casting spells, and you will get what you want."
"If you want to achieve something like Miranda Goshawk, according to what I said, you can surpass him."
"But, if you want to achieve something like me, uh, like Filius, you have to fight, and only fighting can allow you to integrate what you have learned, and even a small life spell can lay the foundation for a victory."
"So, should you consider signing up for the International Wizarding Duel Tournament?"
“......”
With a vision for the future, the light in Ralph's eyes gradually converged, and he closed his eyes.
Afternoon flying lessons, with Gryffindor.
