At the beginning of 1980, Zheng Xiaofeng came to the Ding shift of the cloth machine workshop with serious personnel turnover as a shift leader. The factory director said: You are the best in the whole factory, you are the best in the business, take care of the most spindles, the least waste, and the least foreign products, and you are the first in hygiene, of course, you can only report you. At that time, Huang Hongmei alone could take care of 1,000 spindles and more than enough, while others were in a hurry in front of the spinning machine, and the ground threads and cotton threads were messy, and it was already very good to be able to take care of 800. And she can walk back and forth at a leisurely pace, and get the floor clean.

So Huang Hongmei's results were reported level by level, in contrast, she is the fastest in the whole factory, and she is also the best in the province's more than 500,000 textile workers, the fastest hands and feet, and finally reported to the Ministry of Textiles, she is also skilled, becoming the first generation of textile workers in New China.

In the summer of 1953, Huang Hongmei went to Beijing for the first time to attend the commendation conference.

At that time, it took three days and three nights to get to Beijing by train, and I had to change trains halfway.

It was the first time she left Shoe Mountain Lake, she looked out of the car window, in the scorching summer sun, the farmers were working shirtless in the fields, she felt how lucky she was, the wind did not blow in the workshop, the rain did not show, the sun did not shine, and the farmer uncle, she still talked about what hard work. On the train, he was still thinking about how to make himself better and faster, how to let more sisters increase production, and how to let Huang Hongmei's team train more outstanding female workers.

At that moment, she thought that the responsibility of the spinners was really heavy, and she secretly vowed in her heart to spin more yarn, so that the peasants and everyone in the world could have clothes to wear. ”

At that meeting, she met Mao Weiren, "In the Huairen Hall in Zhongnanhai, the sun rising like a great man is blowing in her face. Huang Hongmei recalled that she was so excited that she burst into tears, shouting great men in her mouth and clapping her hands.

In the blink of an eye, one day in January 1956, she got off the night shift and slept at home, and at 5 o'clock in the afternoon, the trade union leader in the factory woke her up and said that she was going to make a report.

She rushed to the door of the conference room of the current Shoshan Lake Exhibition Center, and saw Liu Fang, the secretary of the Municipal Party Committee of Shoshan Lake City at that time, calling her, "Come in, the chief has been waiting for you for a long time!" ”
