Chapter 9 Parents' Friendship
Harry didn't know what was going on, all he knew was that his uncle's family looked at Kano like a mouse to a cat, glancing at him from time to time.
By the time he came to his senses, he was already sitting at the table enjoying a hearty lunch. Not to mention that Uncle Vernon didn't dare to glare at him, even Dudley didn't snatch his food anymore.
Canopus. Blake, this wonderful man is benefiting himself in ways he can't understand. Although Harry didn't know why, the sumptuous lunch in front of him wasn't fake.
"Oh, maybe I've been bothering too long."
Kano glanced at his watch, and Vernon took a look and silently covered his wrist.
Don't ask, if you ask, you just don't get on the table.
"I don't know if Harry would like to visit my house, my mother works during the day, and she wants to see you at night."
The thought of Carno's apocryphal mother's identity as a child worker made Vernon's heart tremble.
"I... I think he's going to be rude. ”
"It's all right, Mr. Dursley." Kano shook his head flatly, "Harry is a good boy, I'm sure of that. ”
Harry looked at Vernon's half-threatening, half-pleading look in bewilderment, as Canor pulled him out of the house.
The two walked down a street and entered the luxuriously furnished and comfortable house in Kano.
Kano smiled and took off his coat, and Kreacher's old butler came out to greet the two of them.
"Don't be inhibited, Harry."
Kano held up his coffee cup and motioned for him to take care of himself.
Harry took a careful sip, sticking out his tongue bitterly. Kreacher added a few sugar cubes to him, and that saved him.
"Mr. Canopus, I would like to ask..."
"Harry, don't be so restrained." Kano waved his hand casually, "My uncle and your parents are very good friends, and your parents sacrificed for a great cause. ”
"They're heroes."
Harry felt a rush of blood rush over his head, and his aunt kept telling him that his parents had died in a car accident.
Aunt Maggie is forever denigrating his mother, saying she's not a good person, and Vernon says his father was an idle guy.
Now the man in front of him says that his parents are heroes.
Harry raised his coffee cup in confusion and took a long sip, the heavy bitterness that didn't calm him down.
He wanted to run out into the street and shout, grabbing every passerby and telling them.
My parents were heroes.
Kano concealed Sirius' godfather and son-son relationship with Harry, as well as the existence of magic.
But that didn't stop him from telling Harry that he should be proud of his parents and that there were people in this world who cared for and loved him.
"My uncle really wants to see you, but now he is involved in very complicated things, and he can't come here for so many years."
"I'm only coming this year, maybe it's too late."
This is Kano's true words. Harry's family of aunts and uncles had caused him so much pain, from confinement, beatings, verbal abuse, to starvation, any of which could have been psychologically distorted.
If it weren't for Harry's kindness, Dumbledore's long-term laissez-faire would only have produced serial killers.
Later, even if Harry had friends and relatives, he would still feel sad and even irritable because of the distrustful eyes of others.
Quite simply, because he was extremely insecure. Who's to say it didn't have anything to do with his childhood experiences?
Harry never thought he would be treated like a human being one day, yesterday he was locked in the storage room under the stairs without dinner, and today he has his own bedroom in this house.
There is a TV, there are game consoles, there is wonderful food and, above all, there are friends who respect him.
Harry had never been happier until the sun went down and his joy seemed to be taken away by the sun.
"I... Maybe going home. ”
Harry didn't want to go back to the cramped storage room, but he didn't have the courage to resist his uncle's family.
But why hasn't Kano's mother come back yet?
Kano shook his head: "My parents have passed away for many years, and those were all lying to your uncle's family just now. ”
"However, I fabricated my identity as a child worker. Do you know the law that is about to be enacted? ”
Harry shook his head blankly, he didn't have a chance to watch the news.
In 1989, the United Kingdom enacted the Children's Act, and Harry's story is a case in point.
As long as Kano was still in contact with Harry, Vernon would never dare to abuse him again, and the expressions they had just eaten flies were not fake.
Harry was sent home in confusion, and Vernon yelled at him.
"You kid didn't say anything, did you?"
Harry shook his head blankly, and Vernon seemed relieved.
"Penny! Tidy up the upstairs bedroom. ”
Tall, skinny Aunt Petunia jumped up as if she had been electrocuted, looking at her husband in disbelief.
"What if Mr. Carno wants to go to Harry's room next time, how can he see people in his kennel?" Vernon's face flushed, "If his mother really finds out, we will definitely have to go to court." ”
"Then we're really going to lose adults!"
Not to mention how Vernon threatened Harry to keep his mouth shut, Harry's life did change a lot.
He now has his own room, and although Dudley still bullies him a lot, it is difficult for Dudley to get in as long as the door is closed.
Although he still often didn't have enough to eat, as long as he walked down a street, Kano had food there.
Kano often took him to exercise, and Harry's recent height had skyrocketed, and there were some muscles in his body.
And so in the middle of July, at night, a huge flying motorcycle landed in the courtyard of Kano's house.
Kreacher screamed and rushed forward, and Kano reached out to hook it, and vines shot out of the ground and pulled Kreacher back.
"Don't get excited, Kreacher, just a reckless guest."
Kreacher glared fiercely at the uninvited guest in front of him, and from the huge motorcycle, a stout figure more than two meters tall came down.
He had a thick beard on his face and was wearing a thick coat that was somewhat tattered.
"Oh, Dumbledore said I could settle down with you. Hello, Canopus, I'm Hagrid, the gamekeeper of Hogwarts. ”
Hagrid held out his large, fan-like hand, and Kano reached out to shake it with him.
"Harry hasn't had a good time." Kano stretched out his hand and invited him into the house.
"I know... I knew that, but Dumbledore said it was for him to go through. Hagrid shook his head, his bushy beard sweeping around like a broom.
"I can't understand, so I'm going to teach his relatives a good lesson this time."
Hagrid said viciously, and Kano smiled strangely.
"Then let's get started."
At this time, the Dursley family was blowing in the wind. Because Kano recently revealed intentionally or unintentionally that his mother had plans to visit him.
Harry knew it, and he would wake up laughing every day in his dreams.
But he didn't know that the things that really made him happy were still to come.
