Chapter 11: Rumors abound
The five of them sat in the small compartment for a moment and began to introduce themselves to each other.
Ron looked at Kano with a strange look, not the scared look Neville had at first, but a curiosity to ask for something.
"Kano, are you related to our Weasley family?"
Harry looked at Ron in surprise, he didn't understand the intricacies of the wizarding world, he just thought it was too much of a coincidence.
Kano was also surprised, because he had never named his mother, and he was afraid that he would cause trouble for the family in the future.
But since it's all asked, he has nothing to hide.
"That's right, my mother is Vivien, Mr. Arthur's cousin."
In fact, from the moment Kano appeared in Diagon Alley, many people were impressed by his iconic pale skin and handsome face.
The Black family tradition is that non-pure-bloods are not considered family members, and he is now dead to both parents. So when he appeared as the current head of the Black family, the various pure-blood families began to take stock of their female members who died young.
The most excited were the Parkinsons, the McNeills, crazy supporters of the pure-blood theory, but they searched through their pure-blood relatives and couldn't find anyone who might have anything to do with it.
The Weasleys were unaware of the news, until Arthur remembered his cousin Vivien. Weasley.
She was pregnant at the time, but she didn't tell her father who the father was.
But Kano's father is Regulus, and if he is really a heinous Death Eater who ends up being dealt with internally for cowardice, then the jealous Weasley can't have anything to do with him.
Arthur sensed that there must be something hidden in it, and thought of Sirius, who had been thrown into prison without trial.
For the sake of his own little hair, he finally decided not to guess. He instructed Percy, the twins, and Ron to invite him to a visit to the Burrow if he saw Kano.
Kano nodded in agreement, and Harry and Ron took their leave. Hermione began to babble on and on about the results of her preparation, and Kano sensed that she seemed to be a little anxious.
Maybe it's the uneasiness of being alone in the wizarding world at a young age, this kid always wants to show his calmness.
In a few years' time, she'll grow into a truly unhurried thigh-sized figure, taking two useless men (Harry and Ron) with her.
As he was about to get off the bus, Neville suddenly said, "Kano, which academy will you go to?" ”
"If I had a choice, I wouldn't want to go to Slytherin." Kano spread his hands, "I admit that purebloods have a first-mover advantage in magic learning, after all, there is a family inheritance. ”
"But superstitious bloodlines make me feel disgusted, people are not animals after all, why should they look at themselves like pigs and cattle."
Even in the Druid Order, there are no hereditary positions, all positions are based on knowledge.
Neville almost choked with laughter, and it was hard to control his emotions at the thought that the Malfoys he usually dragged along had turned into Golden Retriever Breeders.
"I'm not against being proud of my family's history, but this kind of thing is not absolute, what is there to be proud of lying on the merits of my ancestors and waiting for death."
Think of Malfoy, does he have extraordinary magical abilities? Probably his most proficient spell is "I'm going to tell my daddy".
Hermione listened to the two wizarding people chatting about bloodline in a bit of a daze, and inexplicably felt that it had a lot to do with her.
Kano gave her a brief introduction to purebloods, half-bloods, and the so-called "mudbloods".
Hermione's mouth was slightly open, and with two front teeth, she seemed to be biting angrily.
"It's so shameless, how can there be such a thing?"
"A lot of people are like that." Neville shook his head, "I have a terrible memory and I don't have a very smart brain, so they laugh at me for being a Squib who doesn't have the ability to cast spells. ”
"They always do."
Hermione looked at Neville's somewhat sad expression, and it seemed to ignite a fighting spirit.
"It would be better than all of them. Also, whoever calls you a mudblood, you beat him hard. Kano comforted Hermione, "Headmaster, they're all on your side." ”
At night, the Hogwarts Express came to a halt.
A large number of senior wizards poured into the small, dark platform, and they left the place with ease.
The first-year freshman was drifting with the flow in a daze, and Hagrid's loud voice rang out in the distance.
"First-year freshmen, first-year freshmen are here!"
Hagrid's head stood out more than the lantern in his hand, and the trembling children quickly gathered around him.
"The new students are here? Let's go. ”
Kano followed the large army down a steep and narrow path, and he clearly felt that it was a small opening in a huge defensive circle.
After walking a few steps, it suddenly dawned. In front of us is a vast black lake, and the ancient castle is warmly lit up on the opposite bank.
The lake was full of small boats, and under Hagrid's command, Carno, Hermione, and Neville boarded one of them.
The young wizards were distracted by the fantastical scene, and Kano felt uncomfortable as he walked through layers of magical defenses.
The boat carried them through a tunnel and stopped at an underground dock. A group of young wizards silently stepped off the boat, and a tall witch wearing a green cloak and a serious face appeared in front of them.
"First-year freshman, Professor McGonagall."
"Thank you, Hagrid."
Professor McGonagall nodded, pushing open the door behind her. The young wizards followed her through the huge foyer with torches and into the small room on the side of the auditorium.
"Please tidy up your appearance, and after a while, we will hold a sorting ceremony in front of all the teachers and students of the school."
She then began to give a brief introduction to the four houses, as well as the rules for adding and subtracting points from the House Cup.
"Prepare yourself, I'll call you in later."
She turned to set up the ceremony, and the young wizards breathed a sigh of relief, and then began a lively discussion about the so-called sorting ceremony.
"George and Fred said we're going to fight the dragon."
Ron shivered nervously, his red hair shining even brighter against his pale complexion.
Harry feared that he would be expelled if he didn't pass the Sorting House.
Kano rolled his eyes and leaned over to Neville's side, "Neville, do you think you'll be sorted into Slytherin?" ”
Neville always felt that he didn't have the courage and the cleverness, and that Gryffindor and Ravenclaw didn't have to think about it.
Slytherin values bloodlines, and it's possible.
Thinking of the life of being bullied by those pure-blood families after entering Slytherin, Neville's face immediately lost its blood, Kano didn't expect him to be so scared, this child's heart is simply real.
No sooner had he said a few words than McGonagall returned to the cabin. A group of young wizards were driven like ducks to the middle of the auditorium.
A tattered pointed-toe wizard's hat sits on a quadrangular stool.
