Chapter 35, the decisive battle against Chita
Jiang Qiang then made it clear again, I am Wang Yizhe, Moscow I will give you two choices, the first is to apologize for the Chinese people who died under the guns of your Soviet Union, and recognize that the Outer Northeast and Mongolia are an inseparable part of China, and recognize that Xinjiang is also the territory of China, and withdraw troops from these places, and the second is that I order all the troops to go to Chita, and fight a decisive battle with your army in Chita, after the victory, a radius of 500 kilometers from Chita will be the land of China, and change it to the Far East Province.
Chita was originally an area where the nomadic people of the ancient north of our country lived. The Xiongnu, Uighur, Mongol and other ethnic groups have lived a nomadic life here for generations. In the Yuan Dynasty, Chita belonged to the Lingbei Province, and Tsarist Russia expanded eastward, entered Siberia, occupied a large area of land, and invaded the Heilongjiang River basin in China, including the Chita area. Tsarist Russia built the city of Yaksa on the north bank of the Heilongjiang River and intended to use it as a base for further aggression against China. The Chinese government sent troops to resist the Russian invaders, and after the heroic struggle of the Qing government and the people of all ethnic groups on both sides of the Heilongjiang River, the Qing army won a great victory at Yaksa and drove out the Russian invaders. In 1689, the Qing government and Tsarist Russia signed the Treaty of Nebuchu with Russia at Nebuchu (present-day Nerchensk (Nebuchu)), and the Chita region was officially assigned to Russia.
At this time, all the countries and the Chinese people were stupid, how could it be so fast, those soldiers from Sichuan and Guangxi were still trained in Baoshan, and all the land was taken at this time. Moscow is also stupid, the supply of the army has not yet arrived, and the aid of the United States and the money of Britain have not yet arrived.
At this time, in the Sichuan military camp in Hongkou, all the soldiers have changed into new military uniforms and bedding, everyone's daily necessities are complete, and the soldiers in Sichuan made a big joke on the first day, all the soldiers ate meat dishes when the meal was opened, and the vegetables basically did not move, and finally dozens of soldiers were all sent to the hospital for gastrointestinal discomfort. The eyes of the soldiers were red, and they thought to themselves that these Shanghainese were really good to themselves, just this clothes, leather shoes and other things, and they saw difficulties in Sichuan, but now everyone has two sets, and it is all money.
At this time, the Guangxi soldiers also arrived, it was the soldiers led by Bai Chongxi himself, and it was also a division of 11,000 people, and the Guangxi soldiers were all bare-handed A division with fifty rifles, Tang Juwu said with a smile, where is the chief of staff Bai who came to fight is to make up for weapons and ammunition, Bai Chongxi smiled and said, there is no way, who called us poor in Guangxi, haha, in the end, those Guangxi soldiers also laughed at those Sichuan soldiers, but they were more than the Sichuan soldiers sent to the hospital, it was really the eldest brother who didn't laugh at the second brother, At this time, the Sichuan soldiers had already been almost trained, and Tang Juwu received a telegram from Jiang Qiang saying that he asked the Sichuan soldiers and the Guangxi soldiers to train for two months, because Moscow had not sent troops so far.
And asked to send a telegram to Liu Xiang saying that the displaced people in Sichuan and the common people who are willing to go to the northeast should be organized, and Shanghai would support Sichuan for 100 million US dollars free of charge, and also help Liu Xiang set up a factory in Sichuan, and promised that each one had 100 acres of land and free housing, and a village and a tractor, as a result, Bai Chongxi said, Tang Juwu looked down on us in Guangxi, Tang Juwu said, how about the same conditions, that Bai Chongxi had to jump up happily, and the Nanjing government was also unwilling, so he sent Mr. Song to find Tang Juwu, Tang Juwu sent a telegram to Jiang Qiang, who said that as long as it was the displaced people and ordinary people in Henan, Shanghai would give the Nanjing government 200 million US dollars and subsidize a large iron and steel plant in Ma'anshan.
Jiang Qiang's heart is to circulate the banknotes of the Shanghai Development Bank throughout the country, at this time Shanghai is like a trading market, even the American warships are helping to send people to Heilongjiang, where is Heilongjiang now busy with brick factories and cement factories, anyway, there are a lot of free labor, but Jiang Qiang is unwilling, because Jiang Qiang wants to integrate these people into the big family of the Chinese nation, and the result is that the salary is extremely high, almost the treatment of a company commander, and those Soviet soldiers did not expect such a high salary, One month is the half-year salary of the Soviet army, everyone's motivation has come up, a large number of villages have been built one by one in the Outer Northeast, Jiang Qiang asked the locals of the Soviet Union to set up a fishing brigade to fish in the deep sea, Jiang Qiang gave a very high price, those Soviet citizens at this time feel that it is really good to be Chinese, and finally they asked to give them a little more vegetables, Jiang Qiang said, there is no problem, so after four months of hard work, the immigration of the Outer Northeast has reached nearly nine million people, Jiang Qiang was so happy that there were less than 1.2 million original Soviet inhabitants here.
Moscow doesn't know what's going on, but there is no shadow of the army, at this time Jiang Qiang asked the two divisions to go to Mongolia, and when they arrived in Mongolia, the two Soviet divisions had already retreated, and those Mongolian princes also withdrew with the Soviets, Jiang Qiang would not pay attention to so much, something was clearly said, Moscow, you also withdrew the army in Xinjiang, right? I won't fight your Chita anymore, it seems that you are also very difficult, you said how many people you have, really, the people's hearts are not enough to swallow elephants, as a result, Jin Shuren said that Xinjiang has been a part of China since ancient times, the Soviet army has all retreated, and Xinjiang has returned to the embrace of China.
As we all know, Xinjiang has been a part of China since ancient times, but due to its distance from the Central Plains and its unique landscapes, Xinjiang still maintained a lot of characteristics that are very different from the inland during the Republic of China. In a considerable number of areas, there are even some systems left over from history, such as the Zazak system in the Kazakh and Mongolian gathering areas, the Berke system in the Uyghur residential areas, and even the royal system in the Hami and Turpan areas, where the Hami and Turpan kings still have their own territory and land and do not have to pay taxes.
Moreover, for a long time, due to Xinjiang's backward economy and sparse population, in order to maintain its rule over Xinjiang, the Qing government has always implemented a salary system for Xinjiang, that is, the central government supports the Xinjiang garrison and uses the central government to supplement military spending. All this disappeared with the outbreak of the Xinhai Revolution in 1911 and the fall of the Qing Dynasty. Although the Xinhai Revolution overthrew the rule of the Qing Dynasty, it failed to establish an independent and complete New China. On the contrary, due to the selfish interests of each party, the land of China fell into a situation of warlord chaos and secession. Under such circumstances, neither the Beiyang government in the north nor the revolutionary party government in the south had the interest or spare strength to support Xinjiang's military salaries.
Of course, they didn't give up completely. In 1912, Yuan Shikai, who succeeded him as president, appointed Yang Zengxin, a native of Yunnan who had served as Aksu and Zhendi, as the governor and governor of Xinjiang, and Yang Zengxin became the first king of Xinjiang in the Republic of China.
After taking office as the governor of Xinjiang, although he was a typical old-school bureaucrat, Yang Zengxin also possessed many advantages of the old Chinese literati, such as encouraging culture and education, building schools, reducing soldiers, rewarding land reclamation, and safeguarding the unity of the motherland. But at the same time, he also had shortcomings that the old Chinese literati could not overcome, for example, he believed in Lao Tzu's small country and widows, pursued the rule of inaction, advocated that "disputes do not ask about the affairs of the Central Plains, and chaos is often the ancient people", and he has always ruled Xinjiang with a policy of seclusion and foolishness. Although Yang Zengxin's rule over Xinjiang is not perfect, he is also a rare ruler who maintains peace in Xinjiang in troubled times. Because of this, this Yunnan man, who has nothing to do with all forces in Xinjiang, served as the governor of Xinjiang and ruled Xinjiang for 17 years. It is precisely because he is not a local and has no relationship with various forces that after being appointed as the governor of Xinjiang, in order to recruit talents and strengthen his control over Xinjiang, Yang Zengxin recruited a large number of talents from Gansu and other places. Among them, there is the second Xinjiang Wang Jin Shuren.
Jin Shuren and Yang Zengxin actually have a lot of connections. In 1896, that is, in the 22nd year of Guangxu, Yang Zengxin, who served as the governor of Hezhou, founded and afforested more than 60 kinds of state academies in Hezhou, including poplar, willow, elm, ash, maple, locust tree, white pine, sand date, mulberry and various fruit trees, and even served as a teacher to cultivate talents for the local area. It is precisely because of Yang Zengxin's efforts that the isolated and backward Hezhou has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents. During the period of the Republic of China, the people of Hezhou were able to have great influence in the northwest region, which also had a lot to do with the Hezhou Academy founded by Yang Zengxin. In 1912, that is, in the first year of the Republic of China, with Yang Zengxin being appointed as the governor of Xinjiang by the Beijing government, Yang Zengxin, who was in charge of the military and political power of Xinjiang for the first time and was in urgent need of talents, began to recruit talents on a large scale. Due to the lack of talents, he is quite talented and has a deep relationship with Yang Zengxin, Jin Shuren has unsurprisingly won Yang Zengxin's trust and reuse. Therefore, although he has no resume, Jin Shuren has served as the governor of Aksu, Shufu, Dihua and other counties in Xinjiang under Yang Zengxin.
Moreover, in the 8th year of the Republic of China, that is, in 1919 AD, due to the outbreak of the Soviet Russian Civil War, a large number of white Russian troops were defeated by the Soviet Red Army and then fled to Xinjiang, trying to use Xinjiang as a base to counterattack Soviet Russia. At the end of February 1920, more than 11,000 White Russian troops led by Bachichi entered Xinjiang with more than 9,000 horses. At that time, due to the aggression and expansion of Tsarist Russia, there were also a large number of Russians living in Xinjiang, and the weapons and equipment of the White Russian army and the number of troops were not weaker than Yang Zengxin's troops. In the face of such a crisis, Jin Shuren responded calmly and used the method of trapping the leader of the White Russian army to divide and disintegrate the Belarusian army in Xinjiang, thus eliminating this crisis. Therefore, he has gained Yang Zengxin's trust even more.
The most important thing for Jin Shuren is to expand his armaments and increase his strength and sense of security. Therefore, from the beginning of July 1928, Kim Shu-in took advantage of the national reorganization of the army to begin a large-scale reorganization of the army and expand the establishment. As a result, Moscow was not far behind and began to garrison troops on the border, and wanted to train Sheng Shicai to the Soviet Union's doglegs, and constantly transferred the three divisions to the interior of Xinjiang, but what he didn't expect was that it ended well, Sheng Shicai was born in Fengtian Kaiyuan County (now Kaiyuan City, northern Liaoning Province) Shengjiatun, born in poverty, when he was a child, he studied in Xifeng County Junior Primary School, Shenyang Fifth High School, and Liaoning Provincial Agriculture and Forestry Middle School. In 1917, he went to Japan to study political economy at Meiji University in Tokyo, where he came into contact with left-wing publications. Sheng Shicai returned to China to participate in the May Fourth Movement, believing that reading could not change China's backward appearance, so he decided to devote himself to Rong, and after returning to China, he entered the Shaoguan branch of the Yunnan Army Lecture Hall sponsored by Li Gengen in Guangdong. After graduation, he was introduced, returned to the northeast in the eighth brigade of the Feng Army Guo Songling Department, served as a platoon, company commander and captain staff officer, won Guo Songling's trust, through Guo's introduction and Guo Songling's daughter Qiu Yufang married In the autumn of 1929, Sheng Shicai and Xinjiang Provincial Secretary-General Lu Xiaozu met, Jin Shuren trained the army in Xinjiang and needed talents, Sheng Shicai took the initiative to ask to go to Xinjiang, in the autumn of 1930, Sheng Shicai went to the Soviet Union to follow Lu Xiaozu into Xinjiang. In the 1930s, he was appointed by Jin Shuren as the chief instructor of tactics at the "Xinjiang Army Junior Military School", and trained later cronies such as Lu Yulin and Wang Yushu.
Since Xinjiang Governor Jin Shuren took charge of Xinjiang in 1928, he has been very cruel to the oppression, exploitation and enslavement of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, which has aroused hatred among all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, and some local rulers have also seized the opportunity to secede and become independent. In 1931, the "Hami Riot" broke out, and in January, Ma Zhongying led more than 6,000 people into Xinjiang and occupied the eastern part of Xinjiang. Sheng Shicai served as the "Chief of Staff of the East Road Bandit Suppression Command", defeated Ma Zhongying and Ganiyazi, and later served as the commander-in-chief of the East Road Bandit Suppression, winning many battles and increasing his prestige. But he felt that his strength was not enough to move closer to the Soviet Union everywhere, so he gave the Soviet Union a chance, at this time the Soviet Union became Sheng Shicai's father, Jiang Qiang also felt very helpless, what decisive battle Chita people the Soviet Union did not agree at all, in the end, it was not done, and gave Guangxi and Sichuan 200 million US dollars, and a large number of new weapons and ammunition were supplied to the Northeast Army and Yan Xishan's army, this time Yan Xishan and Zhang Shaoshuai were the happiest, and they got a large number of weapons for no reason. That Yan Xishan was thinking that the gang in Shanghai were really rich.
