Chapter 304: Secretary of State Ross Brings the Sokowia Association
Pointing to the Sokovia Accords, Secretary of State Ross continued: "This was signed and ratified by 117 countries, which states that the Avengers are no longer a private organization."
The Avengers on either side of the conference table circulated the agreement to each other.
Ross went on to tell the Avengers, "You are to act under the supervision of a UN team, and whether or not to send it is up to the team to decide."
Steve frowned and said, "The Avengers were formed to make the world safer, and I think we did."
Secretary of State Ross walked up to Steve, looked down at him, and said, "Captain, do you know where Thor and Banner are now?" Steve looked up at Mr. Secretary of State beside him, and only listened to him continue: "If I lose two 30-megaton nuclear weapons, there will definitely be consequences."
Tony. Stark sat in the back and listened to all this, not saying a word.
"Compromise, reassurance, that's how the world works. To the news, that's the middle ground." Ross walked back to the center of the table and continued.
Falcon Sam. Wilson asked, "There should be a contingency plan for this." He doesn't believe that every emergency he faces has to be monitored.
"In three days' time, the United Nations will convene a meeting in Vienna to ratify the Sokovia Agreement, so let's talk about it." With that, Secretary of State Ross and the staff walked out of the conference room. Steve and Tony looked at each other.
As Rose was about to walk to the door, Black Widow couldn't help but ask, "What if you don't like our decision?"
Secretary of State Ross turned to Black Widow and said, "Then it's time for you to retire."
Black Widow smiled helplessly.
Clark looked at every face in the Avengers, and everyone definitely didn't like this agreement. This is equivalent to putting all the Avengers in a box, and Clark knows that such a frame will make each of them afraid and unable to perform. But in the face of government policies, he is currently powerless.
After Secretary of State Ross left, the Avengers superheroes began to discuss, and everyone had their own ideas.
"Secretary Ross has a Badge of Honor, one more than you." Panther Tichala stands across from Sam the Falcon and says to Sam that he advocates following Rose's words.
"So let's say we agree and sign off, and how long will the government track us down like an ordinary criminal." Sam the Falcon didn't want to be under this control, and he vehemently objected.
Black Panther T'Challa excitedly continued, "117 countries are going to sign this agreement, 117, Sam."
"How long do you have to be duplicitous?"
Steve sat on the side and looked at the "Sokovia Agreement", listening to the argument between the two without saying a word. Tony. Stark also sat on the couch and bowed his head in silence.
Clark walks between T'Challa the Panther, and Sam the Falcon, trying to stop their argument.
Suddenly, Paul couldn't help but interject and said, "I have an equation. Then you understand." Everyone looked at Paul Vision, and Paul continued, "In the eight years since Mr. Stark announced that he was Iron Man, the number of Enablers has grown exponentially. During the same period, the number of events that could trigger the end of the world also increased."
After listening to Vision's words, Steve looked up at Vision with the Sokovia Protocol in his hand and said, "Paul, are you saying it's all our fault?"
Paul Visions continued, "I mean, there could be some kind of causal relationship. Our superpowers invite challenges, challenges spark conflict, and conflicts lead to disaster. Regulation is something we should consider." Paul looked at everyone in the room.
Everyone in the room couldn't help but look at their companions, and at this time, Black Widow looked at Iron Man and said, "Tony, you are surprisingly quiet."
Captain Steve of the United States. Rogers looked at Black Widow and said with certainty, "Because he's decided."
"Oh my God, you really know me too well." With that, Tony got up from the couch, stroked the back of his head with his right hand and continued, "Actually, I just don't
I was guilty of an electromagnetic headache. That's why I'm silent, Captain, because I have a headache and I'm not feeling well." With that, Tony walked to the kitchen and wanted to pour himself a cup of coffee.
"Who dumped the coffee grounds in the garbage?" Tony lost his temper for no apparent reason and continued, "Did I open a hotel for the bikers?"
Tony. Stark took a deep breath and played a photo on his phone, which was shown in front of everyone like a slideshow, and Tony introduced to everyone, "This is Charles. Spencer, a good boy, majored in computer engineering, C3.6, and plans to go to the grassroots level of Intel in the fall."
The crowd looked at the picture, and they didn't know what Tony meant.
"But he wanted to build up his experience before he was in the office. See the world and volunteer. Charlie didn't want to go to Las Vegas or Fort Laudaleburg, if I did, I would choose there." Tony looked at the crowd and continued, "He didn't go to Paris or Amsterdam either, how interesting it was. He wants to use his summer vacation to build eco-homes for the poor. Guess what?"
Tony looked at each of the faces waiting for an answer, took a deep breath and said, "Sokovia!"
The superheroes in the room fell silent and bowed their heads.
Tony continued, "He may have wanted to make some changes, but we don't know because we were playing happily and smashed a building on him." With that, Tony took a sip of his coffee, then walked over to the crowd and continued, "We don't have a decision-making process at all, we need to be regulated. In any form, I'll accept it."
This is the son of the black lady in the background of the speech, and Tony seems to have the tearful eyes of the black lady in front of him, and those eyes are full of resentment towards the Avengers and longing for his son.
Tony continued, "If we weren't restricted, we would be lawless. It's no better than the bad guys." Tony had already made his thoughts clear, and he was very touched by the words of the black woman. It also provoked more guilt in his heart.
"Tony, someone is dying right under your nose, you can't just give up." Captain Steve of the United States. Rogers has a different opinion....
"Who said we were going to give up?" Tony felt that accepting surveillance was not the same as abdicating his responsibilities as an Avengers.
Steve disagreed, and continued, "If you don't take responsibility for your actions, you're giving up." Steve always believed that the Avengers' actions could not be under the watchful eye of the government.
