Chapter 305: Opinions arise within the Avengers

Steve looked at Tony and continued, "These documents are just passing the buck."

"I'm sorry, Steve. You are dangerously conceited in what you say. This is the United Nations, not the World Security Council, not S.H.I.E.L.D., not Hydra," Tichara the Black Panther interrupted Steve.

Steve disagreed, "You're right, but managers are still people, and people have a purpose, and the purpose keeps changing."

"That's a good thing, that's why I'm here." Tony walked over and continued, "When I realized how terrible my weapons would fall into the hands of the enemy and the consequences would be, I stopped producing." Tony would rather give up those interests than be a helper to the enemy.

"Tony, that's your choice. If we sign, we give up the choice." Steve's fear is that he will be taken advantage of by people with ulterior motives and will lose the opportunity to judge things for himself.

Steve looked at Tony and questioned, "What if the surveillance team sent us to where we shouldn't be?" Or are we not allowed to go where we are supposed to be?"

Steve looked at the crowd around him and continued, "We may not be perfect, but we will still be the most reliable people."

Tony stood next to Steve and looked down at him and said, "If we don't sign now, they'll force us to sign in the future." That's the case, and it's going to be even more unsightly."

Tony sees through the government's tricks, he's not as innocent as Steve, he's a businessman and he knows the rules.

"You're saying they're coming back to get me?" Wanda the Scarlet Witch couldn't help but ask.

"We'll protect you, maybe Tony is right." Visionary Paul. Betany turned to Wanda.

Wanda looked at her lover in front of her with mixed feelings.

"If we compromise a little, there's still room for manoeuvre." Black Widow agrees with Tony. Stark's opinion, she said as she looked at Steve.

Sam the Falcon didn't believe his ears a little, he looked at Black Widow questioningly and asked, "You say that, or isn't it the same woman who argued with the government a few years ago?"

Tony didn't expect Black Widow to support his idea either, and he looked at Black Widow in surprise.

"I'm ...... Assess the situation." Black Widow continued: "We have made some big mistakes in front of the public and we need to regain their trust."

Tony couldn't help but interject and ask, "Sorry, did I hear me wrong?" Are you supporting me?"

Black Widow looked at Tony. Stark hesitated and said, "Well, what if I wanted to go back."

Tony quickly stopped Black Widow and said, "No, no, I can't take it back, thank you, it's really unprecedented. Well, that's the end of it. I won." Tony is grateful for Black Widow's support.

Suddenly, Steve's cell phone rang and he received a message that she had passed away in her sleep. After reading the message, Steve threw the Sokovia Protocol in his hand on the table and said, "I have to go first." After saying that, he stood up and walked out.

Clark saw Steve's sadness, he had been standing in the corner, he didn't know how to say anything, he didn't know how to stop everyone's argument, and to be honest, he felt that everyone had a point.

Clark understands Tony's feelings, and Tony feels guilty for the damage caused during the battle, which is why he does a lot of public welfare activities. His invented weapons were also transferred to the hands of the enemy army by Zhou and used to do things that hurt nature and reason. A lot of things came together and gave Tony a lot of excitement, and of course, Pepper's departure, and the disagreement between them was also very painful for Tony.

But Steve's concerns are not unfounded, Clark has been a journalist for so long, has seen too many unfair incidents, and knows the methods of government departments very well.

"Don't jump to conclusions too early, what you say makes sense, but the Avengers are a collective, we still have to think about it and think it through." Clark walked into the crowd and said, "Steve seems to have something, let's discuss it when he comes back, I'll go see what is wrong with him first."

Tony nodded and didn't say anything...

Clark walked out of the conference room, and he followed Steve to London.

A funeral is taking place inside the church in London. Peggy. Carter's funeral. Captain Steve of the United States. Rogers walked in with the coffin in his hand, his eyes watering down his eyes as he walked slowly forward.

Clark was in the middle of his friends and family, and he watched Steve so sad and knew that now was not the time for him to make a decision.

The chaplain officiated at the funeral and said, "Now, I want to invite Sharon. Carter came up to the stage to say a few words."

Sharon is Peggy. Carter's niece, she slowly walked up to the podium, and she saw Steve sitting on the ground, and Steve looked at her. Sharon took a deep breath and said to the group, "Margaret. Peggy. Carter is best known as the founder of S.H.I.E.L.D., but to me, she's just my Aunt Peggy."

Sharon glanced at Steve and continued, "There's a picture in her office of Aunt Peggy standing side by side with Kennedy, and it feels cool to be a kid, but it's also a lot of pressure. That's why I never tell people we're relatives."

When Steve heard this, he couldn't help but lower his head.

Sharon continued, "At one point, I asked her if she would have been a successful diplomat and spy in an era of discrimination against women. She replied that if you can compromise, you can compromise, if you can't compromise, you can stick to your opinion, even if all the people around you say that they are wrong, even if the whole world tells you to get out of the way, you have to stand firmly in the tree, and look them in the eye and say, "No, you get out of the way."

Steve listened to these words and remembered that he had been with Peggy. Carter's time together seemed to be something he had just said to him, and every sentence was a support and encouragement to him. His former lover, the one who knew him best, would understand his every decision and would support his every idea.

After the funeral, Steve stood alone in the empty church, thinking about the past.

Clark walked up to Steve's side, and Steve looked up at Clark and said, "Since I was thawed, I thought everyone I knew was dead." With that, Steve looked at Peggy. Carter's photo continues, "Later I knew she was still alive, and I just thought I was lucky to have her."

"It's also her luck to have you." Clark patted Steve on the shoulder.

At this time, Black Widow came from outside and walked over to Steve and Clark.

Steve looked at Black Widow and asked, "Who agreed to sign it?"
