Chapter 124: The Conqueror of the Dragon, Hope in a Desperate Situation
The destroyer of Riverdale City, the invader of the Lonely Mountain, the nightmare of the Dwarves of Durin.
A dragon named Smaug awoke from its slumber, smashed through Erebo's gates, and spread its wings.
The beasts that had been hovering above the lonely mountain, waiting for Tang Sen and the dwarves to appear, collided with Smaug head-on, and they didn't even need dragon flames, just circled, and those hideous dark creatures were crushed into flesh by Smaug in mid-air.
Their meter-long bodies are as fragile as birds that have crashed into an airplane.
"I am the flame! I am death! β
Smaug roared, taking out his fury on all the living things he could see, the Orcs, the trolls, the giant spiders, burning beneath the dragon's flames, the dragon's breath, the heat and magical power that made it hard to extinguish until they were reduced to a pile of black ashes.
The Orcs around the Lonely Mountain had no idea how they had provoked the dragon, but that didn't stop them from fleeing in fear and confusion.
The dragon didn't stop, and in less than a minute, it had already crossed the Long Lake and hovered over the town, and the shadow of its wings almost covered a tenth of the town.
This is the first time in more than 100 years that the residents of Long Lake Town have seen this giant dragon.
Morale collapsed, and the fishermen collapsed to the ground, some even hugged their heads and cried.
Legolas, and the human named Bud, angrily and desperately, drew their bows and shot them at the dragon hovering in the sky, the arrows piercing the air and striking its black scales, which bounced off the scales.
"I hate archers!" Smaug noticed the daring to attack it, and its wings shook and flew down, its belly already lit up.
"Destroy! Ant! β
Bard's pupils shrank to the extreme, and he shouted like a tear: "Long Yan! Jump into the water! β
But it was too late, he could already see the flames burning from the dragon's mouth, and the flames were about to erupt.
At this moment, the dragon's wings suddenly froze, as if it had suddenly suffered severe pain, and let out a miserable scream, and the dragon flame was immediately extinguished, and the huge dragon body was crooked in the air, almost not steady.
Then, it circled again and reversed course, and raging flames erupted above the lake, screaming dead as the Orcs who tried to raid the town of Long Lake screamed in the flames, and the ships that had been built so hard were burned.
The dragon's fury still did not dissipate, it rushed straight to the shore, even close to the ground, its steely wings crushing through, leaving a path of flesh and blood tens of meters wide in the military array on the shore.
Whether it was Orcs or trolls, even those steel chariots, they were all crushed in an instant without any room for resistance.
β.β
The humans of Long Lake were dumbfounded, watching as the enemies that were supposed to sweep through Long Lake were as vulnerable as ants under the ravages of the evil dragon.
"Why?" Bard grew up, he really couldn't understand all this, as a remnant of Riverdale, he knew the nature of the dragon, how could it help the humans, to deal with those Orcs?
"When the sun rises again, the tide will be reversedβ"
Legolas, who was standing nearby, muttered this.
"What do you mean?" Bud hurriedly asked, "What do you know?" β
"The nature of the dragon can never help humans, it belongs to the dark camp."
Legolas' gaze followed the dragon's direction, "Unless, it's tamed." β
"Tame?" Bard seems to listen to the Arabian Nights, who can tame the dragon?
"What he said turned out to be true." Legolas looked back in the direction of Lone Mountain.
"And he did. Did you really do it?! β
The dark armies on the shore were unable to stop an effective resistance, and their methods were no threat to the dragons, and finally they began to flee and scatter into the forest.
The dragon didn't chase it, in fact, when the Orcs dispersed, the dragon's slaughter efficiency was greatly reduced.
Instead, Legolas and Bud saw the dragon spread its wings again, almost close to the surface of the lake, allowing them to clearly see its impossibly large body and hideous head.
"On the top of the dragon's head. Something seems to be there? β
Bard keenly noticed that there were silvery-white traces between the black dragon horns, and there seemed to be a figure?
He rubbed his eyes.
"You read that right." Legolas smiled, "That's a man. β
"He promised to tame the dragon to end this war, hell, I didn't believe it at all!"
"But here he is now, riding above the dragon's head."
"That's the holder of the One Ring, the conqueror of the dragon, the savior of the Lonely Mountain."
At Legolas's words, the dragon slowed down and landed in the water outside of Long Lake, its massive body unable to be completely submerged even after standing, and its hideous head slowly stretched forward in front of the wall.
Then, everyone saw clearly, between the dragon's horns, the silver-white metal formed the form of a throne, and a man sat on the throne.
Two silvery-white metal bands from the seat crossed from his shoulders slowly disconnected from his chest, allowing him to stand up.
"I don't think I'm too late." The man walked as he walked to the end of the dragon's nose, and just stepped on the walls of Long Lake, standing in front of them.
"Traveler." Legolas bowed his head, the first time he had saluted the mysterious human with such respect.
"Smaug is still a bit wild and untamable, I hope it didn't scare you just now." Tang Sen smiled, "I've already taught it a lesson." β
"You didn't make it clear to me that these people can't attack!" The dragon's voice was like a bell, and the wooden buildings of Long Lake Town were constantly shaking off dust.
"You're questioning me?" Tang Sen turned his head sideways, squinting at the huge golden pupil.
The dragon that had single-handedly defeated the army of darkness and caused countless killings looked away.
Then, the lake shook and waves were raised.
Damn it! Did it just tremble?
This is a common thought in everyone's mind.
"Traveler. How did you do that? Legolas couldn't help but ask, "Even Sauron, I'm afraid he can't make the dragon surrender, right?" β
"What the hell is Sauron! He deserves it too! The dragon turned his gaze back and stared at the elf: "A loser, a Maia who has lost most of his strength, I don't bother him for the sake of the creator Mirkor!" β
Legolas couldn't help but take a step back under the dragon's intimidation.
The dragon showed little interest in him, and his gaze turned to Bard again, his golden eyes lit up slightly.
"I felt the unpleasant blood." It said maliciously, "Can I eat him?" β
Bard tensed, and couldn't help but draw his bow and arrows at Smaug.
"I'm afraid that from now on, humans will not be in your recipes." Tang Sen said lightly:
"Apparently this is a descendant of Girion, Lord of Riverdale."
"How do you know?" Bard asked, surprised.
"Giryan once struck Smaug with a dwarven black arrow, and it made a big impression on him." Townsend Road.
Bard was stunned for a moment, remembering the legend of his ancestors: "So that's true?" Did my grandfather really almost shoot the dragon? β
"Almost nothing!" Smaug roared angrily, poking his head out of the lake, and a shadow enveloped Bud: "Mole ant, do you want to feel the dragon flame?" β
"Huh?" Townsend looked over coldly.
Smaug instantly retracted into the lake, and everyone could hear the grievances in his tone: "I'm just scaring him." β
"You're energetic, it's okay, we still have a lot to do."
As he spoke, Tang Sen looked back at Legolas and said, "Although those Orcs have fled, they will still linger nearby, they are so scattered that even the dragons will have a lot of trouble trying to clear them, so this requires the power of the Woodland Kingdom." β
"I remember saying that when the dragon rises into the sky, I hope Lord Thranduil will be ready."
"What happened here will soon be reported back to the Woodland Kingdom." Legolas said respectfully, "The Elves will be responsible for clearing the enemies near the Lonely Mountain. β
"Good." Townsend nodded, "I don't have time to wait for Thranduil's arrival. β
"The dwarves of the Iron Hills still need my help."
He paused: "I said I would give him a gift. β
A glittering gemstone necklace appeared in front of Legolas, catching his eye.
"This is your mother's relic, which was handed over to the dwarves for restoration, and has remained in the lonely mountain forever."
Townsend didn't elaborate on the dwarf's betrayal, but said, "Thranduil should like this gift." β
Without much small talk, he returned to Smaug's head and sat on his throne.
The two Mithril formed a seat belt under the control of his mind, and Smaug glared angrily at the people of Longlake, and then soared into the sky, driving the lake like a downpour.
Everyone was drenched, but they just looked at the dragon flying away, as if they were a world away.
"We. . Saved? β
A fisherman asked in a whisper.
"Saved by the dragon?"
"No, it's the Traveler who saves you."
Bard turned to look at the people of Long Lake and exclaimed, "The dragon conqueror who brought hope in the midst of a desperate situation!" β
"The haze that has shrouded the lonely mountain for hundreds of years has dissipated!"
"What about the mayor?" Some fishermen remembered the mayor who swept away all the property of Changhu Town.
"Who knows?"
Bard laughed, "There are plenty of Oaks around here, we can only pray that the townsman is lucky." β
"As for wealth."
"The dwarves have recaptured the Lonely Mountain, and I think everything will be fine."
The current monthly pass is 490, and the current update is 2/4.
