Chapter 424: The Great Earthquake
It wasn't too early, Martin was ready to go back, for him, such an art party was not fun at all, far less interesting than a Hollywood party.
Everyone pretends to be civilized, and the fun is reduced by more than half.
Before leaving, Alexandra came over and asked, "Don't call you friend?" β
"Mene? Leave him alone. Martin glanced at where Mene was: "He's made new friends, and he seems to be famous." β
Alexandra also looked over there and said, "The person he was talking to was Celine Dion. β
Mene was standing in front of a sculpture with Celine Dion, who was amused by Mene and laughed from time to time.
Forty-year-old Celine Dion is stuck at the age point where Mane is best at raiding.
Martin certainly didn't bother the old fellow and said, "Let's go." β
Alexandra and Catherine followed Martin out the door, and when they reached the front hall, the latter pushed the former and gave him a sneak look.
"The driver went back to pick up my father, and it may take a while to arrive." Alexandra walked, and her whole body shook quite heavily, giving the impression that she was always living in an earthquake.
She looked at Martin for help: "Can you use your car to carry us for a while?" β
Martin, as a principled and well-meaning person, of course, would not refuse, saying, "No problem. β
Catherine took out her mobile phone and shook it, and said, "Don't worry about me, my classmate called me, and she will pull me from this side later." β
She explained: "She drives a two-seater sports car and can only seat two people. β
Alexandra admonished and followed Martin out the door to the Cadillac driven by Bruce.
Martin asked, "Where do you live?" Which borough of Manhattan is there? β
Alexandra didn't answer, but leaned her back completely against her seat, stretching.
"It's still early, let's find a place to have a drink?" she said. β
Martin is considerate of people everywhere, and when they ask questions, he solves them: "I have an apartment on the Upper East Side, and I have a few bottles of good wine stored there, and the apartment overlooks Central Park, why don't we go there and have a drink?" β
Alexandra replied, "Okay, enjoying the scenery and tasting the wine, it's so romantic." β
Martin remembers that after Lily bought the apartment, he asked Lily to fill the apartment's wine cabinet.
Fifth Avenue is not far from Central Park, and the car quickly came to Martin's apartment, and the two entered the apartment building, where Martin swiped his card and took the elevator upstairs.
The door opened, and Martin found that everything was brand new and tidy, presumably cleaned up before Lily left.
It's going to be a mess in the apartment tonight, Martin wondered, should I call Lily and let her fly over and clean up the house tomorrow?
It seems a little inappropriate.
Martin eventually abandoned the idea.
"What a beautiful house!" Alexandra came out of the hallway, walked through the spacious living room, opened the electric curtains, and what appeared in front of her was the night view of Central Park.
Martin had only seen pictures of the house, and it was the first time he came over, found the wine cabinet, and asked, "What kind of wine?" β
Alexandra's mind wasn't on the drink at all, and she said, "Have a glass of wine." β
Martin took a bottle of Bordeaux and two goblets, and went to the small round table in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, and without so much trouble, he opened the wine and poured a glass for each.
Alexandra pulled out a chair, sat down across from Martin, picked up her wine, and asked, "It's not easy to buy a house here, right?" β
"It was very difficult, and it took several years before and after." Martin's words are not an exaggeration, if you count from the time he hooked up with Julie, it took more than three years to deal with Pitt alone.
Pete is not ruined, how can he sell the house here, and he has no chance to get it at a super low price.
Alexandra complimented, "Martin, you are a very persistent person. β
"Patience is not bad." Martin gently touched her glass: "Respectfully we met." β
Alexandra took a sip of wine and said, "I've seen your experience, it's admirable, although I haven't experienced that kind of life, but I've been to a few chaotic neighborhoods in New York, and it feels very scary. β
Martin smiled: "This country is a paradise for the rich and a hell for the poor. β
Alexandra has a good family and has traveled to many countries, saying, "Actually, every country is the same, right? I went to Europe, and the poor people there didn't have a good time. β
Instead of continuing the topic, Martin clinked glasses with her again: "So, if you have money, you have to live as happily as possible." β
Alexandra agreed: "Yes, nothing is more important than happiness. β
The two drank a glass of red wine, chatted and went into the bedroom.
This is not too common in the open New York and showbiz.
However, Martin deliberately widened the distance between the two while sleeping, and he suffocated again, and it was impossible to have a chance to come back to North America.
When Martin woke up the next morning, he found Alexandra up and had cleaned up the bedroom and the living room.
Regardless of whether she had other thoughts or not, these were at least pleasant to watch.
When Lily bought the wine, she also prepared her clothes, and of course Martin's clothes fit well, but the women here are all one-size-fits-all, and Alexandra wears them, which are a little too tight.
Martin washed up and said, "This weekend, we're going to go shopping on Fifth Avenue. β
The two went downstairs for breakfast, got into a Cadillac in the garage, and went straight to the outlet store gathering area on Fifth Avenue.
Martin when he was a poor ghost, he was very good at slamming the door, and the gifts were all made by himself.
But after he was really rich, Martin was still very generous and never skimpy on spending.
If you want to have fun, spending money is the most basic.
Martin took Alexandra all the way to buy and buy, from Chanel's fashion to Hermès bags to Cartier's jewelry, throwing in six figures in half a day.
The clown statue and the crocodile pendant are not available for the time being.
These, Martin also has a plan, and when Alexandra leaves the crew, he will definitely send them.
Otherwise it would be unfair to the Australian bison and bay crocodile.

On weekends, the hotel bar is crowded.
Bruce called Mene out for a drink.
He asked, "I see you had a nice chat with Celine Dion yesterday, why did you come back in the evening?" β
Mene shrugged: "I heard Celine say that her husband calls several times every night to check on the post. β
Bruce sighed, "Poor diva." β
Mene has a special keen sense of people of this age: "She was abducted when she was a teenager, kept in a cage all the time, and got married before she could figure out what life was all about. β
Bruce brought a bottle of beer to Mene: "Man, you're really good at riding a horse, you can see it." β
Mene said, "Aren't people of their age like this? β
Bruce suddenly remembered something, and Kim's mother looked at him like a wolf.
No, it seems that there is still Kim's stepfather.
Bruce couldn't help but sigh: Life is too dangerous, and if you are not careful, you will overturn, and the consequences of overturning seem to be very serious.
Mene drank a beer with Lao Bu and asked, "Where's the boss, who hasn't come back?" β
"I guess somewhere." Bruce said casually.
Mene was about to ask more, but an urgent news bulletin suddenly appeared on the TV in the bar, and a major earthquake had struck somewhere in the Pacific Ocean.
"This station has received the latest news, there is a major earthquake in the Mariana Islands, and the twin peaks of the highest active volcano on the island are shaking violently, because the volcanic eruption is imminent, the snow on the top of the snow-white mountain has melted, the peak has swelled, and the flowing volcanic lava has dyed the peak red."
"It is reported that the epicenter of this earthquake is located in the deepest part of the Mariana Trench, and the violent shaking caused the trench to crack and contract, and the squeezed sea water bubbled and tumbled, and washed up on the coast.
Bruce also saw the news and was stunned.

Before the evening, Alexandra received a call from home and was going home.
Martin drove her back.
By the time the Cadillac stopped in front of an apartment building, she was ready to get out of the car.
Before getting out of the car, Alexandra kissed Martin again and said after a long time: "When you want to find me, you can call me at any time, even if you are in Los Angeles, I will rush to it as fast as possible." β
Martin took a brand new iPhone from the back seat, handed it to Alexandra, and said, "This is for you." β
Alexandra kissed him again, got out of the car with a couple of handbags, and came to the door of the apartment building, where she stood in front of it and waved at Martin.
Martin honked his horn and drove off.
Alexandra carried her things upstairs and opened the door to enter, from which she had moved out since she was 21 years old and lived alone.
Of course, my parents lived in a nearby building.
"You're back?" Catherine ran out of her side bed, drinking a lot of wine, and her face was red.
Alexandra frowned, "Where did you go to the party?" and secretly drinking. β
Catherine smiled and hugged her sister: "That's why I came to your side and stayed here tonight." β
For some girls, how strict the parental discipline is, how rebellious it is, Catherine asks, "Looks like you've got it?" β
Alexandra put away what she had brought and said, "Shut up if you can't speak, and I'll treat you like a dumb person." β
Catherine sat on the sofa and gossiped: "Tell me about it, how about it?" β
Alexandra didn't want to deal with her.
Catherine added, "We are sisters, and we have to share good things together." β
Alexandra turned around and leaned over to stare at Catherine, very oppressive: "I warn you, don't mess around. β
Catherine nodded subconsciously: "I see." β
Alexandra Fire Prevention, Burglar Prevention, and Catherine.
