Chapter 36: Living Point Map

One day in December, it was a rare good day.

Karl carefully closed the door and took a piece of parchment out of the box under the bed, which Fred and George would have forgotten if it hadn't been for the conversation they had brought up.

Carl looked at the two of them.

Fred and George raised their hands and waved their hands tremblingly, they had just escaped from the bathroom and had no strength to speak.

He took out his wand, pointed at the parchment, and said softly, "Quickly manifest." ”

As last time, after the parchment trembled slightly, a few lines of beautiful floral script soon emerged: "Magical prankster maker aids Moonface, Wormtail, Bigfoot, and Pointed Fork pay the highest respect to the great Karl Turinus." The pointed forks think Carl Turinus has done their test. ”

Moonface agreed, but he still hoped that Carl would do some more normal prank, throwing a big dung bomb at the auditorium, something they wouldn't have in their craziest days.

Bigfoot has reservations, but he appreciates the part where Carl burns down the restaurant and suggests that Carl can try to be a little more daring next time.

Wormtail agrees with Moonface, and sincerely hopes that Carl will use the map to explore more in the future, instead of being a nerd in the castle.

The text quickly disappeared, followed by a scribbled line of red lettering:

"Initiation: I solemnly swear that I have not done anything good."

This text appears for only two seconds, followed by a small brown and yellow font:

"End: The prank is over."

The last green curved text appears:

"Gentlemen of the Magic Prankmakers' auxiliaries, Moonface, Wormtail, Bigfoot, and Pointed Fork, proudly present the Living Point Map."

Underneath this line of words, thin lines of ink like spider's webs begin to appear, interlacing and converging with each other, extending to every corner of this parchment.

"Oh~~"

Carl looked up and saw that the twins had gathered around him for some time, and their pale cheeks couldn't hide the excitement in their eyes.

"It's a map of Hogwarts!"

This map depicts all the details of Hogwarts Castle and its venues. However, the really noteworthy thing is the tiny ink dots that move along the map, each with a name in tiny letters.

The three of them leaned over, head to head, to take a closer look at the magical map. Carl noticed that Filch was patrolling the third and fourth floors, and that Filch's obnoxious cat, Lady Loris, was wandering on the fifth floor.

"I think they must be great people." Fred touched the tattered piece of parchment as if it were some kind of treasure. "George!"

He looked up, his face excited, the paleness of his face replaced by a sickly flush.

"Fred!" George also has a similar expression, they are twin stars with a heart-to-heart relationship.

They all looked at Karl in unison.

Carl quickly understood what they were thinking, sighed, and looked at the map, "Can I lend you to someone else?" ”

The live map did not respond.

"Be careful." Carl tapped lightly on the map and said tentatively, "The prank is over." ”

The lines drawing the map quickly disappeared, and soon it was a blank piece of parchment again.

"There are many books that say that self-aware magical objects are the embodiment of the wizard's vision, the embodiment of the wizard's own thoughts. If you can't see where its brain is, never trust anything that can think for itself. Because they lack ego. Karl admonished. You must be careful when using it, and it is best to let me know your whereabouts. ”

"Fred, do you understand?"

"George, what about you?"

The twins looked at each other and eventually smiled at each other.

"Whatever, Carl."

"Don't you think it's pretty cool?"

Carl soon regretted it after handing over the map to the twins.

Fred and George had long wanted to start the night tour again, but they were pulled back by Carl and Lee Jordan.

The reason was simple: Gryffindor's scores were in an empty state at the time, and if they caught them here, then Professor McGonagall could really turn the two into two pigs in a fit of rage.

Luckily, first-year schoolwork wasn't too heavy, and they had a lot of afternoons to go out and play, but that was different from when no one was around at night.

Now that they have a weapon like a live map, they're finally starting to go out and hang out.

The first two times they invited Lee Jordan and Carl, but both of them refused, Carl was actually very impressed, but he really couldn't spare time.

In addition to basic homework and improved book reading, he also spends a lot of time looking for Professor Caro's deeds to see if there is a breakthrough, and the rest of the time he needs to go to the Forbidden Forest.

In December, Fred and George began to make more frequent night trips, and had a great deal of success, verifying most of the secret passages on the map of the living spots, and occasionally bringing some late-night snacks from the kitchen for Carl to read a book and wait for them.

Such a freehand nightlife naturally comes at a price - they are constantly snorting during the day, especially in the afternoon.

The History of Magic class became their best friend, and they looked forward to the history of magic class more than anyone else.

Carl was full of envy for Fred and George's dashing, but unfortunately it was not the path he chose.

The breakthrough against Professor Carlo has not progressed for a long time, and instead he has been looking through a large number of modern wizard war materials, and he has clearly picked up the descendants that the professor has been thinking about.

To put it simply, these are two big bad guys with a lot of bad deeds. As he looked through the evidence of these men's incriminating against countless Muggles, Carl was so shocked that he couldn't bear to read on.

And this is the kind of person who did not even sentence him to death in the end, but succeeded in extrajudicial mercy because of a spell called "Imperius Curse".

Whenever he saw Professor Carlo with a cold face after reading these materials, Carl couldn't help but wonder, how could he ignore those facts and live in this world with peace of mind?

Hattings returns one night with news of Polo.

"Polo asks you if you will go back for Christmas, and if you don't, he won't go back. There was a big event in Berlin, a country was going to perish, and Polo was broken. "He said that was just the beginning, and that the world would be full of joy for a long time to come." ”

There is no doubt that the happiness of the devil is different from that of ordinary people, and for ordinary people, it is undoubtedly a great disaster.

Remembering that Dumbledore had been called away by a haste, Karl was full of sympathy for the people there.

He shook his head.

"No, I'm not going back."

His home is still there, but there is no one with the most important person there.

Might as well stay at Hogwarts.

At least there are fewer people on vacation, and he might have a chance to go to the forbidden book area.
