skillfully used the "corpse" Fowler to perform the "soul restoration" technique
Fowler was one of seven children of a black sharecropper in the United States. He decided to go into business as a shortcut to making money, and he later chose to deal in soap. So he went door-to-door selling soap for 12 years. He later learned that the company that supplied his soap was about to be auctioned off for $150,000. He decided to buy the company, but he had saved only $25,000 over the past 12 years of operation. In the end, an agreement was reached: he would pay $25,000 in security and pay the remaining $125,000 within a 10-day period, and if he could not raise the money within 10 days, he would forfeit the security deposit.
During his 12 years as a soap merchant, Fowler gained the respect and appreciation of many merchants. Now he's going to them for help. He borrowed some money from personal friends and also received assistance from credit companies and investment groups.
Fowler recalls, "I had exhausted all the sources of loans I knew. It was late at night, and I was talking to myself in my dark room: I'm going to drive all over 61st Street. ”
At 11 o'clock in the evening, Fowler drove down 61st Street in Chicago. After driving a few blocks, he saw a contractor's office with lights on. He walked in. There, at a writing desk, sits a man who is tired from late-night work. Fowler realized he had to be brave.
"Do you want to make $1,000?" Fowler asked bluntly.
The remark frightened the contractor backwards. "Yes, of course!" He replied.
"So, write me a check for $10,000, and when I repay the loan, I'll pay another $1,000 in interest." Fowler said to the man. He showed the contractor a list of other people who had lent him money and explained in detail the circumstances of the business venture.
That night, Fowler left the office with a check for $10,000 in his pocket. Later, he gained control not only in that soap company, but also in seven other companies, including four cosmetics companies, a hosiery trading company, a label company, and a newspaper.
Fowler succeeded, thanks in large part to his courage to take risks and his self-confidence. What if he hadn't found the light? What if he didn't have the courage to ask this stranger for help? Then he may be on the verge of complete failure. Resurrection is a good strategy, but it also requires courage.
