Chapter VIII Passages
"You're pretty decisive this time."
The raven said casually, and as Esther looked over, it began to concentrate on its feathers again, as if it were such an important matter.
"I can't just go to the beach, and I'm not going to go through the sea gate, I'm going to get noticed."
Although Esther's words were true, she didn't want to go near the sea, and she knew that once she got there, it would be difficult for her not to feel resentful...... Zoya may be able to look at such a fate calmly, but she can't.
"I thought you would be more than happy to let Him notice your situation."
Esther poked the crow's freshly snapped feather twice, messing up the neat parts again, "Will you let me go after him?" You're just trying to show off my 'new faction' to Elolius, aren't you?"
"That's fine, I'm expecting a reaction from him." Raven pecked Esther's finger hard in protest at her disturbing behavior, "But I want to warn you that the shortcut I usually used to cross the distance from the abyss is no longer useful. Because I don't know which guy found my mausoleum in Beckland, and in terms of the extent of the damage at the scene, someone must have reported it to the church, do you know who?"
Esther coughed lightly, avoiding the topic, "Well, maybe someone explored it and thought it was too strange...... After all, I'm not you, and it's dangerous for me to pass through the abyss."
"I know, I just feel sorry."
Before leaving Beckland's confines, Esther racked her brains for a bunch of rhetoric, and even a lot of threats hidden in her language, before she finally squeezed a few ten-pound bills out of the crow's body.
It's just that the moment she got this money, Esther realized that it was the money in her satchel by instinct alone:
"So my backpack is right there for you."
"Is there one? You don't have any proof of this." The crow tilted his head triumphantly, "I'm already very generous today, don't expect me to share a little more from you, it's all mine now-"
"Do you think I believe it? And I've got to correct your statement, that satchel is mine!" Esther unceremoniously interrupted the raven.
"It's just funny to see how you have nothing, you could have stolen and still have to go through such a troublesome trading process."
"Hehe, I should really pluck your hair, no, it's better to seal it directly as a worm of time, as a reserve food, right......
Even in the face of Esther's muttering threats repeatedly, her words were less of a deterrent to the doppelganger of Amon next to her, and more like a joke.
She wouldn't do it again after seeing the rabbit, and both knew that the crow's eyes were meant to spy on her.
Waiting until dawn, when the shops on the street were finally open, Esther bought candles and perfumes that could be used for ritual magic, which were not cheap due to the materials added to them.
After such a circle, she had less than two gold pounds left in her hand, and Esther glared at the doppelganger in annoyance.
Stealing a remote distance into Beckland last night didn't hit any official extraordinaries or trigger warnings, and there was also a part of the luck factor.
It was broad daylight, and out of caution, Esther took a steam subway to the suburbs, all of whom ignored the crow on her shoulder.
"Aren't you going to take a look? I know you have a few other ...... in the south side of the bridge Friends."
Esther, however, just stared indifferently at the glass window, there was nothing outside the window, and most of the Steam Subway in Beckland was underground, and at most there was smoke coming out:
"The word 'friend' comes out of your mouth and sounds like another lie."
The crow didn't return the favor, its smiling black eyes didn't have any warmth, but it hummed softly.
After stepping out of the platform, Esther eventually switched back to stealing distance, and she soon reached the valley outside of Beckland.
It's a place to get away from regular sex
Although Esther couldn't tell the exact direction of the railway, it was purely based on intuition, but the final location was also some distance away from the nearby noble manor, so what she was going to do next shouldn't bother anyone, at least that's what she thought now.
As Esther began to set up the ritual, the black crow looked away from her and instead looked at the nearby vegetation, the suspicion in its eyes flickering and then another sly smile.
The raven pulled Esther's hair with her claws, "Are you sure you want to perform a ceremony here?"
Hearing this, Esther subconsciously glanced at the sparse woods nearby, but did not feel anything abnormal: "Actually, it can be held anywhere, I just want to find a place where no one is, what do you find?"
"No, I just think it's a little familiar."
"Come on, which corner of the mainland haven't you been to? You also have an island of your own." Esther placed the three candles out of the way, dipped her finger in perfume, drew a circle of stars, and prayed in her heart that the thing would really work.
It didn't matter, she had some kind of more spiritual material to call on the spirit she wanted to summon.
"So what are you going to do?" Raven asked.
"Take the fast passage to the spirit world, for me now, it is much safer there, even if there is no protection from Ulorius, there will be no danger of being directly shattered by the spirit world."
Esther put her hand on the candle, she rubbed her index finger and thumb, and the clear flame immediately ignited from the top of the candle, and she flicked her finger harder, and a drop of red blood slowly floated away from her fingertip and floated into the flame.
Although it was only a very subtle adjustment, Esther still felt a little bit of "deceiving the mentor", it was not simply to cross the rules or change the rules, but more like ......
Esther was thinking about it, but was soon interrupted by the loud voice: "Don't think about it anymore, thinking is not for you."
"Hah, you don't know what I'm thinking." Esther replied, continuing to set up the ceremony.
The raven jumped around and spun around Esther's shoulder, pausing for a few seconds as it looked directly behind Esther, then spun back as if nothing had happened.
"Okay, that's it......"
Esther lit two more drops of blood and fed them into the flame on the candle, and she glanced at the symbol in the center with satisfaction, and took two steps back to get out of the way.
She speaks a language that is close to the ancient Phusak language, but slightly different in details such as tone, and if you want to count it, it is the "lingua franca" of the Tertiary era, and it is very closely related to the occult.
"I, I call in my name......
"The races that wander the gates of the underworld, the guides of the souls of the spirits, the white recorders of forgotten history, the free minds of the undead lands!"
The flames of the three candles instantly turned pale, and they quickly swelled and bulged until they joined into a white ball of light, and the spirit world tore a crack in it.
