Chapter 15: The Remnants
Although Esther had expected a bad landing on the other side before crossing the passage of Radamanta, the final result was more than she could have imagined.
The moment she got out of the cold underworld, the feeling of weightlessness suddenly surged in, and she no longer needed to steal her own weight, and Esther directly got rid of the momentum of falling through "deception", and floated directly in place like the previous Radamanta.
What bothered her even more was the lightning that intertwined with the darkness around her—in the surging black clouds, Esther felt a familiar power.
"Haha, your kid is very good at choosing a place." The raven chuckled under his breath, and seemed keen to see Esther unlucky.
However, Esther didn't think so in her heart, and Amon knew in her heart that there was no way to blame Radamanta for this, the "City of the Dead", which overlapped with the underworld, was itself located in a special location in the spirit world, and after the fall of the Ancestor of the Undead Bird, its many passages to the Eastern Continent had been unstable.
And Ladamanta is even less likely to leave that place frequently, it can only guide Esther to a familiar "door", and Ladamanta does not know where the door is connected.
Esther changed positions one after another, holding the crow tightly in her arms, dodging several lightning strikes that rolled towards her: "This is different from the last time I came!"
"Or do you steal the lightning here?"
Esther ignored the ill-intentioned suggestion, "They left it all behind? In order to isolate this place forever......
She dodged again, and the mark emerged from her pale eyes again, emitting a soft shimmer, and through this special perspective, Esther managed to dodge a hidden force that was about to cover her.
The crow, however, did not answer her question, as if it had not heard, except that the pleasure of seeing Esther being attacked had vanished from its dark eyes.
Even when Esther entered her perspective of fate, she still saw a thick darkness and a raging thunder, and those unconscious energies, sensing the existence of confrontation, were converging near her, the intruder.
She struggled to find the darkest and lightest corners of the neighborhood, trying to get out of this increasingly dangerous space, but the ability to steal distance could not even be used frequently here, and the nearby environment was constantly changing, and if she moved far away, she would probably fall directly into the arms of lightning or darkness.
As if he couldn't stand it anymore, the crow nodded his head downward, "The weak point is in that corner. Only by getting rid of this last bit of blockade will you be able to enter the Godforsaken Land once and for all."
Hearing the crow say this, Esther did not hesitate and immediately flew in that direction.
The crow, which had been held in her arms, was stunned for a moment because of her distraction, but it quickly gave a further warning: "Don't go closer, or the thunder and lightning will focus on your target."
Esther immediately changed direction, and a thick razer scraped past her original position, "Is it useful to attack somewhere else?"
"Yes, it seems that I don't need to talk too much, you have finally learned to use your brain."
"Can't you talk well?" Esther's right hand clenched into a fist and shouted, "Thunder and lightning are forbidden here!"
She stole the stranger's ability to issue the "Law", and after being promoted to the "Deception Mentor", the extraordinary ability she had obtained was retained for nearly eight hours, and it was not yet the time for it to expire.
"Oops," the crow smacked his lips, "that's not good......
"I know," Esther smiled cheerfully at the sound of thunder roaring further towards her, "all I want is for it to explode on its own!"
Thunder and lightning can't gather, but it's full of attacking momentum, and naturally ushered in release.
The thunderclap drowned out Esther's own voice, and they all surged together, and the darkness around them began to roll with electric light.
The crow shrank its head after sighing, and it seemed to say something, but it was completely drowned out by the thunder.
Esther shifted her position again, landing near the weakness Amun's doppelganger had spoken of, and she unleashed what she had stolen
"Exile".
At the same time, she lifted the previously issued ban.
The turbulence of "exile" repulsion, like a spark falling into the barrel of explosives, ignited all the remaining power, and the darkness and thunderstorm that were originally evenly intertwined, instantly released all the accumulated power that could not be attacked towards Esther's position.
Esther dodged lightly again, curling up as far as she could, the tiny light of her hair spilling down, constantly drawing tiny circles around her, and through a brief reversal, she dodged the thunder that fell violently.
However, the curtain of darkness only spread outward, revealing a low-hanging deep valley, but the internal strength was not enough to completely break its seal, at least the ferocious storm that had been balanced with it for many years had long since united into a tight whole, and its penetration of this layer of shadow was limited.
There was no gap, but it still weakened the barrier from the outside world, and Est felt a clear and strong calling.
Her first reaction was the "City of Dreams" below.
As if stealing her thoughts, the crow used a little trick to get her voice directly into Esther's ears, rather than being drowned out by thunder:
"This location is still a long way from the 'City of Dreams,' and what you perceive is not from that city."
Esther unleashed a "punishment" that she had stolen earlier, causing the thunderstorm to converge into the depression below: "How do you know what I'm thinking!"
The crow rolled her eyes, ignoring the fool with a face that was too blunt.
But what's underneath?
Esther felt the need to "connect" with the calls of unknown origin, and perhaps with the destruction from the outside world, she could get out of her current predicament more smoothly.
As her body quickly changed direction, another wave of thunderstorm bombarded and fell, and the surrounding darkness was also pulled by this momentum, and began to sink downward.
In Esther's perception, the scattered points of light on the other side became clearer, some places were neatly arranged and the lines were symmetrical, and some places were more scattered and dense, but they were divided between invisible squares.
She immediately realized that she seemed to be looking down on a city, and that the points of light were like lights from every house, but they were active, giving the thunderstorm intruders an accurate signal in their direction.
The barrier to the real world and the ground below was further weakened, and Esther's temptation was confirmed, and while the methods she was using were very tough, they were doable.
However, the last time she came to the Forsaken Lands, she didn't feel such a call.
Before triggering another thunderstorm to burst through the gap, a vague question jumped into Esther's mind:
If it's not the "City of Dreams" below, then which city is it?
