Chapter 55: Aquisha's Story Continued II

The mob carried the moaning captain and the numb Akisha out of the bunker, and before leaving, they even buried the place with earth and rocks and left a secret mark.

Judging from some clues, it is likely that there are a lot of munitions hidden in the bunker, which may have been a storage depot of the SA Army in the past.

If they had come a few days earlier, maybe they would have had some chance to make a fortune, but they might still not get anything.

Anyway, those things didn't make sense anymore, and Akisha sadly found herself one

"Spoils of war", she doesn't know what fate awaits her next, if she guesses towards the worse possibility, it will most likely be brutal slavery and abuse, or.... It won't be long before a bullet ends her life.

These horrible thoughts stuck in her brain. The group arrived at a modest camp set up next to a semicircular cave with a wide opening with a bonfire roasting a jumble of wasteland creatures and empty cans and bottles.

Some of the roasted things are still recognizable, whole little lizards and small ants, although they are

"Small", but these guys are about the size of a man's palm. As for the pieces of meat, the origin is unknown.

Akisha remembered that there were terrible legends in the wasteland, and that many marauders preferred to kill slaves and dismember them for food in order to satisfy their perverted animal desires.

Although these guys don't seem to be predators. Holding his hand, which had been shattered by bullets, the captain was brutally thrown to the ground, moaning uncontrollably.

The thug who had threatened Akisha with a knife to stop crying looked impatient and didn't look like a person who could stand the noise.

He stood up and twisted his orangutan-like body and gave the captain a vicious kick, but it only made his moans louder.

"Hell!" The man was suddenly furious, and a bruise appeared on his forehead, and as soon as he grasped the knife in his hand, he was about to remove the parts.

"Wait! Stop! An indifferent shout came from behind, and the thug stopped moving and stepped aside.

Aquisha saw a tall, thin, paper-skinned, aloof bald man with an eerie indifference between his eyebrows, wearing a pair of flat glasses that reflected an indifferent white light.

"He's lost a lot of blood, can he hold it? Have you forgotten that there are exactly two people left in our contract, and if these two are sent to the door, we will have to run longer? Two weeks a week or two months a month? What do you think you're doing? Do you want all of us to continue to watch the light with you here? The man with glasses scolded him silently at the orangutan man.

With that, he glanced at the captain who was lying on the ground and moaning in pain, and took out a healing needle from his backpack and threw it in the captain's face.

He hurriedly injected the treatment needle into himself, and after a few moments, the injury lessened, and the moaning in his mouth finally subsided.

The thug who twisted Akisha's arm behind his back watched this scene and couldn't help but whisper to his companion next to him.

"Needles... Just for that idiot? The companion next to him also felt that it was a pity, the demand for these medical supplies was very strong in their line of work, and things like treatment needles were really not too much.

"Hmph, count that kid lucky, you must know that according to the boss's contract this time, we want living people, and at least they can survive for at least a week." The thug who was twisting Aquisha rolled his eyes and asked again the doubts in his heart.

"Can he know if those people will live and how long they will not live? What if we lied to him? His companion scoffed.

"You can't think of the boss? You don't think that boss would have been able to think of it if he was a smart person, would you? The fact is.... He could know exactly how far we had come and whether we had done a good job, so those thoughts had long been confirmed to be unnecessary. Now, this thing is about to be done, and that money is enough for us to go back to New California for a year or two, take care of that woman, and don't let her have a chance to kill herself! If you delay everyone's affairs, you know what the consequences will be. The thug let go of Akitha's right arm, grabbed her by the shoulder, turned her around, then grabbed her face and forcibly pried her mouth open, and after making sure that Akisha had nothing hidden in her mouth, he searched her body violently.

After Akisha began to whimper and resist, he was stunned for a moment, and then his eyes suddenly changed. He twisted Akisha's arm back again, even so hard that it made a clicking sound, causing Akisha to let out a scream.

Then, the thug's other hand reached for Akisha's pants.

"Northon!" With a roar of rage, his companion stopped the mob that was already on the verge of being a sperm, and he realized that something was wrong with his surroundings, and when he turned around, he saw the bald man with pale glasses staring at him indifferently without saying a word.

He calmed down, kicked Aquisha to the ground, and let go to the side.

"Boss ....." The other party's glasses reflected white light, and he looked at the guy named Northon for a full minute without saying a word.

"Go on, let me see how you look like you're beastly." The man with glasses raised his chin, and his expression could not be seen to be angry.

Frightened half to death, Northon shook his head repeatedly to admit his mistake. The man in glasses was noncommittal, maintaining that sinister air, as he walked over to Akisha, gritting his teeth and covering his arm and trying to put his pants back on.

There was an interested look in his eyes behind his glasses, a look very different from the lust that had burned three feet away in Northon's eyes just now, as if a child was about to pour a full bottle of boiling water on an ant's nest or to nail an insect to a tree with a large thick iron nail.

Akisha didn't even dare to look at him.

"Do you want to live?" The other spoke, spitting out an indifferent voice. Akisha was silent, she didn't know how she should answer, and she didn't know what would happen if she answered.

The man with glasses didn't seem to care much about Akisha's answer, and he then said something that Akisha didn't expect.

"You can live, and so can that companion of yours. I don't just want you to live now, but I want you to live in the future, and you may not believe what I say, after all, another of your companions died before your eyes. But who called him a disgusting ghoul? Ghouls shouldn't exist in this world, and I'm always happy to take orders that put some stupid stinking creature in the meat grinder who fantasize about having the same status as humans. You see, you can call me a racist or some other derogatory term that NcR politicians have taken out of pre-war storybooks. The man in glasses began to babble.

"You might be curious about who I am? Actually, I'm the doctor of this group of mercenaries, and that guy just called me boss? Yes, I'm both a doctor and the leader of this mercenary group, and the two identities don't conflict with me. Actually, it was a misunderstanding from the beginning, wasn't it? We're going to shoot first because that bearded guy did something he shouldn't do, you know? People who run outside are always overly nervous. And then the rotten corpse is even more excessive, and he even drops explosives directly next to you. Ah~ See if what I said is wrong? Those ghouls are not only ugly on the outside, but they are even a hundred times uglier on the inside, what a bunch of pests suitable for extermination! They all deserve to die! Akisha watched him silent, she didn't think anything of what the man was saying was true other than the insults at the ghouls.

The man with glasses gave a strange smile as he pulled out a strange stick-like metal object about the size of a finger from a small bag around his waist.

After he pressed a switch somewhere, a glowing needle popped out of the end of the thing, so it was obvious what this thing was.... This seems to be a high-grade syringe.

He walked over, getting closer and closer, the syringe in his hand.

"Come, don't be afraid. You must have been terrified along the way, right? Come.... I'll give you a tranquilizer...."Akisha watched in horror as the needle approached her, shaking her head as she tried desperately to dodge, but was held to death by two mercenaries.

The syringe was hit in her arm. Subsequently, the captain who was lying on the side was also dragged up and injected with this so-called

"Tranquilizer".
