Chapter 56: Hecate's Decision

Andy stood by as a large number of hounds and the daughter of Hecate gathered around the church to move in and out.

The two bodies were placed on an iron plate, and a search and post-mortem have been completed. Ivana wore a protective face towel and poked the corpse with her slender nails, wondering what she was doing.

"Did you find it?" She looked at a hound coming up from the ground.

"That's all." The other party handed over a burlap bag. Ivana nodded to the hound after taking a few handfuls, then turned and walked towards Andy.

"Let's go, it's time to report the situation to Lady Hecate, this time you will definitely get a good reward, after all, that guy has been a problem for Lady Hecate for a long time, I didn't expect him to hide in such a place." Andy nodded and walked with Ivana towards the Holy Tower.

"How did you first find out that this man was from the Legion?" Ivana tidied up the bag and re-fastened it.

"It's actually quite simple.... I know all the members of the village inside out, and as for the outsiders, they are actually under close surveillance, and the ones we are most concerned about are you who are not ours and are not natives. Originally, the man claimed to be a messenger from afar, but when he arrived, he lived in seclusion, which was obviously not normal. Andy thought about it, the messenger might be a good cover, this profession is actually more important in the wasteland, after all, there is no developed communication network now, and there is no way to use the pre-war terminal or telephone to communicate.

Most of the time, wastelanders rely on messengers to deliver letters or other items to distant relatives and friends.

The Couriers are loners and armed themselves, and most of them do not over-examine them. Thinking about it, seeing the hounds entering and leaving the church without care, Andy couldn't help but wonder if a few more strange green ghouls could jump out of the unknown ore in the ground for a while.

"There's something unfriendly down there, you know?" Ivana didn't seem to care much and didn't want to say much.

"Take it easy.... It's just a temporary problem caused by the previous ritual, or it won't be long before everything will be normal, remember not to talk nonsense~" Seeing her reaction, Andy didn't bother to ask, and the two soon came to the holy tower.

It looks like it's business as usual. There was still a large group of men and women bathing in the pool, and their happy hour would not stop until the woman was pregnant, and Ivana greeted her as she passed by.

"Hey! Sweetheart, I'm waiting for you! Dan Dai was standing in the pool and making all sorts of spicy gestures, and Ivana just smiled at him calmly and beckoned.

Andy coughed twice, and the two continued to move on to leave the one

"Couple's Pool"

"So, what do you think of him?" Walking down the stairs, Andy asked in no uncertain terms.

"It's good.... I've been so busy in every sense of the word, and there's more to think about running the city than you might think, no one can guarantee that nothing will go wrong at first, and everything is fueled by experience. When I was sure that I had enough experience in some areas, I had to put others behind, and it was only recently that I realized that I had been absent from the obligations that Ms. Hecate had asked for too long. Ivana still has the same attitude that she can't see her emotions.

"Frankly, I at least understand why those sisters are so much involved...", she turned back and said something provocative in what seemed serious.

"Actually, I was very satisfied with you when we first met, but unfortunately at that time, Lady Hekate would definitely not allow you, an outsider, to pollute the next generation..... But you've done a good job this time, and if you ask for Lady Hecate, it's probably not out of the question. Andy was a little dumbfounded.

"Wait, don't you care what Dan Dai thinks?" Ivana spread out her hands and replied with a smile, and in a brisk tone it was impossible to tell if she was joking or if she really thought so.

"As long as he doesn't know, Lady Hekate is more tolerant of those she trusts in this regard, and if you really don't lose to him in terms of strength, then it's fine, and I don't care who you are pregnant with. Of course, even if he knew later, he would pretend not to know, unless he never wanted to enter the Holy Tower again in his life. Andy coughed twice, fully aware of the difference in Ouroboros Village.

"It's better not to be like this, I feel a little uncomfortable.... Ahem, let's hurry up and see Lady Hecate...."Ivana gave a wicked smile that she didn't know what to say, and then the two of them quickly came to Hecate again.

.................. It was still as dark as it was, and Hekate's dwelling was as dark as a nocturnal cavern.

When the flames rose again, Hekate, whose face was covered in colorful paint, looked up from the throne, and his face was still oppressive with a smile that seemed to be not a smile.

But from this expression that could not distinguish between joy and anger, Hekate was really terrifying.

"Looks like you've got good news for me, Ivana?" Ivana walked over, knelt on the ground a few steps away, and presented her hands with small objects that had been scavenged from the Legion spies.

A large, two-headed serpent that emerged from the side of her seat opened its mouth to bite the objects, and then handed them over to Hecate, who was sitting still.

Hekat nervously opened the bag, picked up something resembling a badge and currency, and examined it for a moment, then threw everything into a corner like an electric shock, bellows-like gasps and piercing screams from his mouth.

Andy couldn't help frowning, but he saw that Ivana kneeling in front of him didn't have the slightest expression of surprise on his face.

"Ah..... That's right, it's these damn demons, where is this person now? Ivana, who was kneeling on the ground, replied reverently.

"The enemy is dead." Hekate let out a sigh, then gritted her teeth and asked Ivana to bring her the body.

"Bring that beast to me, and I will cast an eternal curse on him, so that his soul will be torn apart by the serpents, and he will never be able to live again!" Ivana bowed her head and said yes, without any opinion on it.

It seems that Hekat still wants to whip the corpse to vent his anger. After everything was accounted for, Hekat finally gradually recovered from that stressful mood.

"Very good.... You've done a great job, outsider, and you've done me a great favor... What do you want? I can give you gold, silver, and jewelry, or I can let you eat and drink here, or I can even make an exception for you to become one of us. Anyway, what do you want as a reward? Andy looked at Hekate, who had been here for one purpose.

"I hope you will give this fruit to all the tribes so that they can eat it." He held up a green fruit, which was not too big, and could even grasp six or seven in one hand.

Hekat looked twice, but didn't agree.

"So, that's the thing you said earlier that could cure that plague.... But I can't allow it, the disease is helping me to eliminate the burdens I don't need, and I don't have to. Seeing Hekat start acting like this again, Andy couldn't help but be a little annoyed, why is this woman so stupid, could it be that if those natives die out, it must be beneficial to her?

"Goddess, I have a little opinion." Ivana, who was kneeling on the ground, suddenly interjected, and Hekate casually waved her hand to signal her to continue.

"I've recently spoken with Merlin, who has returned from the Blackfoot Tribe, and based on the information she's received over the years, signs of predator activity are becoming more frequent, and more and more spies are being sent from the East to the tribesmen of the land. Those people are still active, doing ill-intentioned business in corners we don't know, and this time we've pulled out a nail from our side, but it's a drop in the bucket to be sure. Hekate's eyes widened, and her hand gripped the armrest, her nails making a sharp noise on it.

"Anyway, Ivana, what's going to be?" Ivana continued to maintain a reverent posture and replied in a deferential tone.

"We need to draw more on the dirty natives, and we have to speed things up, and there is now a legend circulating among many of the tribesmen out there that the bull will soon return from the east. Your divine power will protect our village from inviolation, but that alone will not be what you want to achieve. What you want is to completely defeat and destroy the vile gods and enemies in all realms, and the tribesmen are unpolished idiots, and the only language they can read is the language of violence, because death is written in violence, which anyone can read. ”

"And if their most feared death is manipulated by your great power, it will give them an incomparable shock, countless times more powerful than letting the hounds clear them." Hekate's eyes moved from side to side, and after a moment seemed to change his mind.

"But how do you show that?" Ivana turned to look at Andy.

"If the fruit is mashed and mixed with other ingredients, will it still work?" Andy was stunned for a moment, then nodded immediately.

"As far as I know, it's fine, as long as it doesn't heat them up at high temperatures continuously, it's fine." He remembered the information he had received from Diana that FEV was extremely difficult to kill in non-extreme temperature environments, and that its specialized neutralizer was very difficult to make, meaning that it was actually stable in most environments.

Ivana turned to look at Hekate.

"You don't need to promise anything, you don't even have to think about it, as always, I'll do it for you." Hekate was silent for a moment, then gestured for Ivana to go down on her own.

Ivana saluted and walked out of the room without saying a word. Now, only Hekat and Andy are left here.
