Chapter 16: The Dementors Outside the Platform

After the Malfoy siblings left, the atmosphere in the box seemed to ease, and Neville let go of his fist, but Hermione didn't continue reading.

"Do you think I should beat him up, Neville?"

Harry glanced at Neville and sat back down beside him.

"The Malfoys have a bad reputation." Neville nodded, "He's a Death Eater, Lucius Malfoy. ā€

"Yes, his dad is a bastard, but I can't think that just because his dad is a murderer, he is right, he can change it, then forget it, if he can't change it, then it will be counted."

Neville nodded, exhaling a cloudy breath.

"What's wrong, Hermione, you look like a surprise?"

"I thought I would do it."

"Don't be so biased, okay, I beat people in the ring in an open and honest beating, I don't learn boxing to bully ordinary people, just Draco's body, I punched either a severe concussion or a skull fracture, you treat me as a violent maniac?"

Harry rolled his eyes, "Look, this is prejudice, I'm such an unreasonable person?" ā€

He stretched, pulled his backpack over the wall and squinted.

"This Hogwarts Extra is really slow."

Looking out the window at the field, Harry snooze off in a daze.

He was woken up by Hermione, it was already dark outside the window, and the imminent arrival meant they needed to change into their uniforms.

"The train will arrive at Hogwarts in five minutes, please leave your salute in the car and we'll take you to the school."

The conductor's voice echoed in the car, and more and more young wizards left the box, and the aisles were crammed to the brim.

Many of the freshmen leaned against the window and looked out, but they could see nothing but the darkness of the night, and they could not see the shadow of the castle at all.

The car came to a stop, and the passengers pushed and shoved, and rushed to the door, and descended to a small, dark platform, and the cold of the night made people shiver, and there was a stout street lamp on the platform, oh, it was Hagrid, and he was holding a huge kerosene lantern, which looked like a street lamp, after all, he was too tall.

"First-year students! First-year students are here! ā€

Hagrid greeted loudly, and he saw Harry's eyes in the crowd.

"Harry, come over here, how are you doing on vacation?"

"Awesome Hagrid."

Harry squeezed through the crowd and gave Hagrid a hug, and the giant smiled happily and patted Harry on the back.

"You can come to my place for tea when you have time, but now - first-year freshmen! Come to me! ā€

Hagrid's loud voice echoed throughout the station, and the little wizard who passed by him plugged his ears so that his brain would not buzz later.

The young wizards who had entered this year's school formed a loose queue as they gathered around Hagrid and looked up at him.

"Everyone is here, so let's go."

Hagrid beckoned, and then led the group out of the station, but within two steps, Hagrid's oil lamp shone on a dark shadow, a ghost in black robes floating eeriely in the night, a few little wizards who were not very brave were scared out of the scream, Hagrid waved at the crowd, and then spoke to the dark shadow.

"Professor Snape, can you stop being scary in a big black robe on a big night? I thought it was a Dementor....."

Hagrid patted his chest with trepidation, he had been to Azkaban for a few days, and that time had left him with a terrible memory that would be absolutely unforgettable.

"Perhaps...," Snape's face revealed from the darkness, "you can ask me for a potion to cure your eyes." ā€

"Am I like a Dementor?" Snape laughed gloomily, and everyone flinched, frightened.

"Spare me," Hagrid muttered quietly, "as long as you don't run out into the woods in the middle of the night to shave my cuties, I'll be thankful." ā€

"Alright, Professor Snape, why are you here? I've got to get the new students to the castle as soon as possible. ā€

"I'm here for someone."

Snape said expressionlessly, "Where's Poter, come with me." ā€

His gaze swept across the crowd to see Harry, who was prominent in the crowd.

"You can take the others first, and he'll follow later." Snape beckoned and said coldly, "Come with me, Break." ā€

He disappeared into the darkness, walking without even the sound of footsteps.

People's eyes were focused on Harry's face, he was standing next to Hagrid, the kerosene lamp illuminated his face, whether they knew Harry or not, at this moment, they couldn't help but think of something bad, after all, this Snape.... It's just scary.

Harry hesitated slightly, he didn't understand why Snape was looking for him, but this was already at the boundaries of Hogwarts, so maybe it might be nothing, right?

Harry swallowed his saliva and stubbornly walked in the direction Snape had just left.

He looked back, and Hagrid was descending the path with the other freshmen.

"Break ↑ special ↓"

Snape's voice appeared in the darkness as abruptly as if he had just disappeared, and Harry's goosebumps rose, half frightened, the other half frightened.

A ball of light lit up, and the illumination ball dispelled the darkness, and Harry turned his head sharply, and he noticed that Snape had silently pestle beside him at some unknown point, his face close together.

"Can you stop being so scary, Professor Snape?"

Harry crossed his arms and took half a step back, feeling like he was in a den of thieves.

"Sure enough, yes." Snape looked at Harry's face and muttered, "Your eyes are exactly the same as your mother's." ā€

Snape straightened up and looked at Harry with scrutiny.

"I'm here to tell you something, Pote."

Snape's voice was soft, but in a whisper-like voice, it magically made every syllable clear.

"I, Severus Snape, am your godfather."

"What did you say?!"

Harry, who was numb in an instant, was almost not scared to his stomach, and the news was no more terrifying than Voldemort taking a point 50 Desert Eagle and shooting himself in the head?

"You're my godfather?!" Harry stared incredulously at Snape, who had a smile on his lips, "What about Sirius Black?" ā€

Snape's face suddenly darkened, black as if it were dripping.

"Hagrid, why does this guy talk about everything?" Snape gritted his teeth and muttered, he had the impression that Hagrid, the undoored mouth, would tell Harry about this.

"And so does he."

Harry saw Snape's face twitch as he said this.

A person can only have one godmother, but the godfather is generally two, after the birth of the child, the parents will invite a local famous person or their friends to be the child's godfather, godmother, Dudley also has, there is a saying: the world is too dangerous, the child needs at least two fathers to protect his healthy growth.

"I am good friends with your mother, I have known you since childhood, and of course, I also know your aunt, she also wanted to go to Hogwarts at that time, and I sent the letter for her."

"But after I became a wizard, there was basically no contact."

"That ....." there was a hint of hesitation on Harry's face, he didn't know what to say or not.

"What's wrong, Harry?" Snape raised an eyebrow slightly.

"Before every Christmas... There is a saying that bats become sperm in the community......"

"I'm not, I don't, it's not me."

Snape shook his head quickly, then coughed solemnly.

"Ahem~ Look at this."

Snape pulled a photograph out of his bosom and placed it in front of Harry, it was a group photo, altered, with James and Lily at the front, Lily holding the newborn Harry in her arms, with a weak but happy smile on her face, and behind them, a kobold was secretly fighting Snape.

Magical photographs are moving, and Harry sees Snape and Sirius crackling behind their parents' backs pinching their handprints and fighting, winning or losing.

"I didn't think the photo was very realistic, so I helped him beautify it."

Snape pouted, Sirius's dog head was definitely the right one.

"This Blake is not a good thing, if you see him in the future, don't believe a word he says, of course, you won't see him in the future, that bastard haggard!"

He spat it, and there was even a murderous glint in his eyes.

"Ahh No.... If you and my mom are childhood sweethearts, how can you .....?"

"Because it's too familiar." Snape clutched his head and said with a pained expression, "Your mother said she knew each other too well, and the two of us knew each other too well, so she cheapened your father Jaime, the bastard....."

"She also said to introduce me to her best friend, but...," Snape sighed, "I didn't have to wait for that day..."

"It's—" Snape gritted his teeth and took a deep breath, but didn't continue.

"I'm here to tell you about it, Harry." Snape reached out and patted Harry on the head, "But in school, call me a professor, and don't tell anyone else." ā€

Snape put a finger to his mouth, "Remember?" ā€

Seeing Harry nod, Snape pointed to the darkness ahead, "Go ahead, Hogwarts is still waiting for you." ā€

"By the way, one more thing, when the sorting house is later, you can choose Slytherin, remember, think about going to Slytherin, don't think about Gryffindor, your mother was harmed by those brainless fools, I don't want you to repeat the same mistakes, Harry."

Snape spoke solemnly, not joking.

"But..."

"Nothing, Slytherin is your best choice, I'm your godfather, I won't hurt you, Harry."

"Remember!"

He intended to disappear into the darkness once more, leaving like a ghost.

"But I want to go to Hufflepuff."

Snape's shoulders crooked, barely falling to the ground, and he turned his head to look at Harry with a 'why are you more outrageous than your mother', and his scalp tingled.

"You...."The corners of Snape's mouth twitched violently, "Ugh..."

He sighed, "Whatever you want." ā€

Snape shook his head away, muttering something like "The child has grown up and has his own thoughts."

After Snape left, Harry, who was in a mess in his head, crouched on the ground, clutching his head into the chaos, and after a while, he pulled out the ebony wood and pulled the trigger in front of him, "Fluorescent flickering." By the light of the Light Charm, he trotted forward, and in a moment came to the shore of a lake, where the young wizards were boarding the boat, and Hermione and Neville waved at him, and they left him with a vacant seat.

"That Professor Snape didn't have a hard time for you, did he, Harry?"

Looking at Harry's tangled face, Hermione asked with concern.

"Oh, it's okay, it's just that my brain is buzzing right now, and it's probably yang."

"Let me be quiet, and I'll be fine later."

The boat carrying them left the shore of the lake and paddled silently towards the dark and calm lake ahead, making small ripples as Hogwarts Castle stood on the cliffs in the distance.
