Chapter 17: This Is Not the World I Remember!
They walked through the cliff caverns covered in ivy curtains to an underground pier beneath the cliffs, and up the stone paved road, the wet lawn blew a chilly wind, and the gates of Hogwarts Castle appeared before them.
"Knock Knock"
Hagrid clenched his fist and knocked three times on the oak door, and the door immediately opened.
A tall black-haired witch in an emerald green robe stood in front of the gate, her expression was serious, her hair tied into tight dreadlocks, and her appearance resembled.... Harry stared at it for a moment, the codename 'RG-60TB' popping out of his head, and the thing had a more understandable name, the thermobaric grenade.
Harry swallowed silently, facing a solemn witch with a straight face.... Definitely not a master to provoke.
"First-year students have arrived, Professor McGonagall." Hagrid said.
"Thank you, Hagrid, for leaving it to me to pick you up here."
A feeling of imminent execution arose in Harry's mind, and the wizarding world, where enough strange things had happened, must not be speculated on by the contents of 'normal memories'.
Professor McGonagall opened the door wide open, and the foyer behind the oak door was large enough to fit the Dursleys' villa, and the stone walls of the foyer were blazing flares illuminating the entire foyer.
The high ceilings are barely visible, and the façade is a lavish marble staircase that leads upstairs.
They followed Professor McGonagall along the bluestone floor to a wide hallway large enough for two tanks to travel side by side, Harry heard the humming of hundreds of people in his dream on the right, the senior students had arrived, but Professor McGonagall led the young wizard of the first year to a small empty room at the other end of the hall, and everyone rushed in, shoulder to shoulder, staring nervously at everything around them.
"Welcome to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." Professor McGonagall spoke, "The opening feast is about to begin, but before you enter the Great Hall and take your seats, you must first determine which house you are going to enter. The Sorting House is an important ceremony at Hogwarts, because during your time at school, the House is like your home at Hogwarts, you will have classes with your fellow House students, you will live together in the House dormitories, and you will spend your free time together in the common room. β
"The names of the four colleges are: Gryffindor Champion Warriors Academy, Ravenclaw Tactical Intelligence Academy, Hufflepuff War Logistics Academy, and Slytherin Special Operations Academy. Each academy has produced countless outstanding wizards, all with their own glorious histories. β
"During your time at Hogwarts, your performance will add or minus points for your house, actively participate in various competitions within the school, winning will win honor for you and your house, and at the end of the year, we will award the house cup trophy to the house with the highest score, which is a high honor, and I hope you can bring glory to the house no matter which house you are assigned to."
"In a few minutes, the sorting ceremony will be held in front of all the teachers and students of the school, and I suggest you tidy up and look refreshed while you wait."
Professor McGonagall's gaze swept across the room, and several of the students who were staring at her pause suddenly became nervous, but after saying this, Professor McGonagall did not stop and turned away, much to the relief of the young wizards.
"They're going to let us take the test, right?" Hermione nervously tugged at Harry's sleeve, she was very worried, there was no book about how Hogwarts was sorted, even if the little wizards next to them were pure-blood wizards, they didn't know about it, and everyone deliberately concealed the process of sorting.
"It's almost half past six." Harry glanced at his mechanical watch, "If you don't have enough time for the exam, you can't start eating until eight or nine o'clock, right?" It takes a lot of time for the test papers of more than 100 people to be corrected. β
"Even so...," Hermione gnawed nervously, and began to recite the spell from the textbook.
Neville was much calmer than Hermione, sweating nervously, but at least he remained calm and stood still, even if he was motionless, as if he was playing a dummy.
"Neville?" Harry reached out and poked Neville, and the little fat man suddenly gave up and sat on the ground, looking up at Harry blankly.
"Am I eliminated?" Neville asked, dumbfounded.
"How could it be....." Harry said with a grin, then reached out to pull Neville up.
But before he could tug Neville's hand hard, Neville suddenly jumped three feet high and bounced off the ground.
A scream erupted from the rest of the group, and a group of more than twenty ghosts emerged from the walls and floors, their translucent pearl-white hues floating through the room.
The ghosts chatted to themselves, barely paying attention to the little wizard beside them.
But a chubby ghost seemed to have spotted the stunned first-year freshman, and he smiled and spoke.
"New life! I guess you're getting tested, right? β
HIS BODY WAS WRAPPED AROUND TWO THICK BULLET CHAINS, CROSSED IN AN X-SHAPE ON HIS CHEST, AND THE THICK BULLETS WERE AT LEAST 20MM CALIBER, WHICH COULD PHYSICALLY CRUSH AN ELEPHANT IN A SINGLE SHOT.
The little wizard nodded, so he smiled again and said enthusiastically: "I hope you can get a Hufflepuff!" I used to be in that college. β
When did the so-called 'logistiac' dress up like this? Harry would probably not be surprised if the ghost suddenly pulled out a revolver gun that had been removed from the plane and carried it on his shoulder, after all, he had all the bullets with him, and there seemed to be no problem with bringing the weapon with him.
As Harry pondered, the ghosts departed, and Professor McGonagall reappeared shortly after.
"Now, line up in a single row."
Professor McGonagall said to the first-year students, "Come with me. β
The people lined up as instructed and followed Professor McGonagall out of the room, through the foyer, and into the grand auditorium through a double door.
Harry had never seen such a gorgeous and wonderful place in the world! It's just magic.... Is it magic?
The rest of the academy students were already seated at four long tables, thousands of lit flare sticks floating above them, their light illuminating the auditorium as if it were daylight, and the golden plates and goblets on the long tables reflected a brilliant light, enveloping the entire auditorium in psychedelic golden light.
On the opposite side of the student table were the professors' seats, with two prominent positions, and when Harry's eyes fell there, his mind went blank!
'Gellert Grindelwald?!!! β
