Chapter 13: Spider-Man Figurine
The small town of Smoville, Kansas.
The light descended from the sky and turned into three figures.
When he landed, Ryan felt a heavy weight on his hands, and he couldn't help but secretly increase his strength to support the two people with weak left and right feet.
Selina and Bruce also grabbed Ryan's arm with both hands very heartily, and the former was even more eager to stick to Ryan's body.
It's not because of other thoughts, but because the feeling of flying over the top of the clouds at supersonic speed is too exciting.
"Are you all right?" Ryan smiled from ear to ear.
Selina leaned on Ryan's shoulder and shook her head gently, not even having the strength to snort.
Bruce waved his hand and looked up, his little face pale. But he deserved to be a man, and after shaking his head, his eyes were much clearer, so he squeezed out a smile.
"I didn't...... Gasp!"
Thankfully, just retching.
"Hahaha......" Ryan only felt that he hadn't laughed so heartily in a long time, so he slapped Bruce on the back and teased, "Can you do it, thin dog?"
But at this time, Bruce could only hold his arm, bend over and retch, where did he still have the strength to speak?
For a while, the three of them walked side by side.
Beneath their feet was a straight dirt road, flanked by vast cornfields, and ripe corn stalks were a little taller than they were.
"Where are we going?"
"Find a kid and play with him."
Selena: "Little friend?"
Bruce: "Play?"
Not far away, an old house stands alone in the middle of the fertile field.
Jonathan stood in front of his chair and stared blankly at the sky.
The door opened, and Martha stepped out in her apron and nudged him.
"It's time for breakfast, I've called you several times, why haven't you heard?"
Jonathan looked back, his gaze still unfocused.
Seeing this, Martha couldn't help but be stunned: "What's wrong with you?"
Jonathan blinked, looked back at the sky, and frowned, "I just ...... It's like seeing a beam of light."
"Light?" Martha followed his line of sight, the sky was clear and cloudless, "What are you talking about?"
"It's true, I really saw a light coming down from the sky, it was white, like ...... Hey, have you ever imagined the light from Heaven?" Jonathan pointed to the sky.
Both he and Martha were Christians.
Martha frowned when she heard this, "Did you wake up hallucinating?"
"I didn't sleep."
"That's dazzling."
"This ...... Well, probably."
Martha shook her head slightly, "Come in and eat, I'll go find Clark."
"I'll go, you can rest for a while."
"Well, he should be in the barn."
Jonathan nodded and walked towards the barn, but he still looked back at the sky and said something in his mouth.
After a while, he brought a dusty Clark out of the barn.
Jonathan crouched down and smiled as he cleaned up the grass clippings in Clark's hair, "Clark, remember to run behind me when your mom beats you later."
Holding the straw creature in both hands, Krak smiled and nodded sheepishly.
On the ground, his head tilted slightly, looking into the distance, his slender eyelashes flashing with his eyes, doubly cute.
Jonathan turned his head and saw three teenagers coming together.
In a few moments, the five people faced each other.
Jonathan smiled gently and greeted cordially, "Hello."
Clarke, who was holding his little hand beside him, was looking at Ryan with curiosity at this time.
Ryan saw what he was holding, smiled slightly, and then said to Jonathan, "I'm Ryan."
As soon as these words came out, Jonathan was stunned.
Clark's eyes lit up instantly
, stepped forward and hugged Ryan's waist, and shouted in surprise, "Ryan! You've come to see me!"
Ryan rubbed his head gently.
As Jonathan's gaze carefully surveyed Ryan's face back and forth, he soon exclaimed, "Oh my God, Ryan, it's really you!" He grabbed Ryan's arm with both hands, and his eyes were full of incredulity.
"I just felt familiar, but I didn't think about it at all......
As he spoke, he couldn't help frowning again, letting go of Ryan, and gasping.
"Shhh...... Ryan, it's only been a few days, how are you ......?"
Ryan laughed, "I've grown up."
"I know, I saw it, but ......."
"Growing a little fast?" Ryan asked with a smile.
Jonathan was speechless. Even if the child does grow up quickly, he doesn't know how tall it will be in a few days, right?
At this time, Martha stood in the doorway and shouted, "Jonathan, are you here?"
Hearing this, Jonathan invited a few people into the house.
Martha was back busy in the kitchen, preparing breakfast for the extra three.
After a while, sit down at the table.
"Ryan, are you alright?" Jonathan couldn't help but ask.
"Don't worry, I'm fine."
Clark picked up the sausage from his plate and handed it to Ryan, "You eat."
Ryan smiled and declined, "I have it too."
Martha's eyes looked at Ryan curiously for a moment before asking, "These two are your friends?"
"Yes, Serena, Bruce. From Gotham."
"Gotham?" Suddenly, Jonathan was surprised, "How did you get to Gotham? What about your family?"
Breakfast was quickly spent in small talk.
Sitting on the couch, Clark huddled around Ryan, sharing his toys without hesitation, and even prepared a Spider-Man figure that he loved very much to give to Ryan.
Selina and Bruce sat on the sidelines, watching their eyes grow strange.
After playing with Clark for an hour, Ryan offered to take his leave.
"Uncle Jonathan, Aunt Martha, it's time for us to go."
Martha: "Don't you play for a few more days, I've packed up the room, enough for you to stay together."
"No, we still have something to do."
Jonathan: "How did you get here, or should I drive you?"
Ryan smiled and shook his head.
Walking out the door, Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan politely kept them or wanted to see them off.
Before parting, Clark rushed up again and shoved the Spider-Man figure into Ryan's hand, his gaze was very firm, and he had the posture that Ryan would be angry if he didn't accept him.
Ryan rubbed the somewhat paintless Spider-Man and leaned over slightly.
"You like Spider-Man a lot?"
"Well, don't you like it?"
"No, I like it too, who else do you like?"
Clark's eyes lit up: "Captain America! Wolverine! Hulk! Magneto!"
Ryan nodded lightly and whispered in his ear, "You go to school well, and when you grow up, I'll take you to meet them, okay?"
"Really?" Clark was excited, but he also learned to keep Ryan down.
"Really, 100 percent."
"Hook!"
"Okay, Hook."
Letting go of his hand, Ryan said, "Go back."
"Hmm!"
Turning back and waving for the last time, Ryan led the two of them straight away.
When their figures disappeared from view, Jonathan turned his head to look at Martha, who happened to be looking at him.
After one glance at each other, they looked at Clark at the same time, who was immersed in the sadness of parting.
The eyes of the two adults were full of complexity.
There are some things, not asking, just because they won't think about it.
