End of the volume
At this point, the first volume of the book, "The Strongest Voice from Scotland Yard", is considered to be over.
It's not so much the first volume as a prologue.
But it's a bit too strange to write a prologue of more than 80,000 words, so let's just list it in a separate volume.
In this volume, the main purpose is to describe the style of British society in the early 19th century, so that everyone can have a clearer understanding of what kind of people and things were in the context of that era.
As Dickens said, civilization and barbarism walk together on this vaunted island.
There are stereotypes left over from the Middle Ages, simple morals left from then, scientific and technological advances brought about by the advent of the industrial age, and a host of social problems arising from them.
Gentlemen and ladies love beauty, fashion, and bold dressing, but they also magically abide by the traditional style of conservatism and moderation.
The rich and the poor lived in houses larger or smaller, some of them had better living conditions than their descendants, and some of them struggled more than their ancestors who lived in the church era.
This is an era of contradictions, this is an era of twisting.
It was a conservative era, but also a progressive era.
Of course, most importantly, this is a time when hope can be seen in the midst of despair.
A better story, a better future, look forward to the next volume, King Arthur who lived in Scotland Yard.
In addition, here, I would like to thank the author of "The Great Demon Sherlock Holmes" for his chapter push, in fact, I have long wanted to thank you, but at that time my collection was too small, and I had tens of thousands of collections from a thousand collectors, and it was not appropriate to thank them. But today, it is good to say that it is finally 10,000 yuan, and the words of thanks also have weight.
"The Great Demon Sherlock Holmes" is also a fantasy flow novel created in the Victorian period, the content is very exciting, and the whole book is very refreshing to read.
Finally, during the new book, please try your best to catch up with the book, which is really important to me, thank you.
The following is a list of references that I read and used during the writing of the first volume, and I would like to thank all the authors of the literature for their guidance and inspiration.
