Chapter 305: An Untimely Topic

Harry didn't wait for anyone he wanted to wait for, and after a sigh of disappointment, he and Hermione rushed into the Forbidden Forest.

They had been with Hagrid and still on that magical motorcycle when they had entered in the middle of the night, but this time Harry and Hermione had gone into the Forbidden Forest alone, they didn't feel so good.

Following Sirius's footprints and previous memories, it wasn't too difficult to discern the direction, but the darkness around them seemed to come alive, and they desperately pressed the glow of their wands, trying to devour everything, and the howling wind in the woods also brought the howls of magical beasts, even though the two of them had experienced enough horrors tonight, they were still frightened.

Most importantly, they missed one thing.

Harry and Hermione's clothes were in tatters, and when they entered the hospital they wore the hospital gowns that Madam Pomfrey had prepared for them, Dumbledore didn't remind them to change into clothes that were easy to move around before they went on a time trip.

In the middle of the night in late January, the cold in the Forbidden Forest was not so easy to deal with, and at first, Hermione could still use her magic to help them resist the cold, but as she went deeper, her physical and magical energy was consumed, especially the mental depression, and Hermione's methods could play a less and less role.

Two teenage boys helped each other through a shallow puddle before standing on the shore and stomping their feet to dispel the cold.

"I'm a little envious of Ron, Madam Pomfrey said he was surprised, and it was better not to wake him up sooner-"

Hermione sighed into her palms and swung her body delicately.

"yes, he's been lucky."

Harry bent down to remove the weeds from his boots, and then pulled Hermione's wrist and tried to climb the hill.

Hermione glanced at Harry's hand holding her wrist, and unconsciously, a warm smile appeared on her lips, she raised her eyebrows, and suddenly said,

"Speaking of which, Harry, when I was talking to Ginny before, she was like asking me if you had a girl you like!"

Harry slid on his feet, staggered, and nearly fell to the ground, and when he stabilized himself, he turned his head in surprise to find Hermione pursing her lips and smiling, and her expression suddenly became embarrassed.

It was no secret that Ron's sister was obsessed with Harry, after all, Ginny hadn't hidden it much.

"What did you say, Hermione?"

Harry cleared his throat and turned his head away, asking as if unintentionally.

"You didn't tell me this, Harry--"

Hermione tilted her head, looked at Harry's face, and said solemnly,

"Actually, in addition to Ginny, there are many people and girls who have inquired about this, isn't it, Harry, Ling is very popular among girls."

"Ahem!"

For some reason, Harry's mind suddenly conjured up the sassy figure of a girl who played Quidditch very well. Thinking of her, Harry suddenly felt that the night wind around him was no longer cold, and even his cheeks were still steaming.

At this moment, Harry was incredibly grateful to the Forbidden Forest, and if it was daylight, he didn't know how to explain his embarrassment to Hermione.

There were a few more chuckles like silver bells behind him, and Harry finally pulled Hermione up the slope, and he strode forward as if to get rid of Hermione, but after two steps, he suddenly paused,

"And what about you, Hermione?"

Harry turned his head curiously and slew back,

"What kind of wizard would you like?"

So far, all Harry knows is that Hermione was once obsessed with Gilderoy Lockhart, but alas, that guy was just a big liar who committed the unforgivable crime.

Now, the man with the heat on her face was Hermione, and she forced Harry's curious gaze back with a strong gaze, ending the abrupt and inopportune topic.

They hurried away, Harry was so focused on grabbing Peter that the topic was thrown out of his mind in a blink of an eye, but Hermione's eyes were shining all the time behind him.

Most of the third-year wizards are still thinking about how to be in the limelight at school and how to turn the tide in Quidditch like Harry, but the topic of discussing their favorite witches is actually common among girls.

Lavender and Parvati were very interested in the subject, in fact, it was almost a topic they had to talk about before they went to bed, and of course, they wouldn't let Hermione go, and Parvati had tried to inquire about the closeness of her relationship with Harry.

She didn't bother to answer such questions.

It's so stupid, with that kung fu, why can't they read more books and make themselves better?

However, Harry's question did send ripples through her heart.

Every little witch wants her partner to be a good wizard, and Hermione is no different, but the truth is that there are not many outstanding wizards in Hogwarts today, and there is only one Gryffindor house, and that is Ron's older brother - Percy Weasley.

Of course, she didn't have the narrow idea that only good reading is good, but at least, Hermione wanted her partner to be someone who had a thirst for knowledge.

Hermione's expression darkened slightly, and then, she took a deep breath and hid the question in her mind.

In order to save their stamina and attract the attention of the beasts living in the Forbidden Forest, Harry and Hermione did not talk much for the rest of the journey, but by the time they were exhausted and half a mile away from the battlefield, the werewolves led by Greyback had already fought with Hagrid and them.

"Put on the Cloak of Invisibility, Harry."

Hermione grabbed Harry, who was slamming his head to the ground, pulling him into the cloak of invisibility.

The two of them moved forward step by step, for fear of making some noise and attracting someone's attention.

On the battlefield, Remus throws a spell to try to push back Greyback, Professor Snape goes into a big way, slaughtering waves of werewolves with that powerful cutting spell, and Sirius snipes at the werewolves desperately in the form of Animagus.

Even though they had experienced it themselves, Harry and Hermione were still swaying when they watched this scene.

"We didn't help at all, did we?"

Harry, who was hiding behind a leafy maple tree, stared at himself on the field and said a little lonely.

"We're just little wizards, Harry, even if we're adult wizards, not many can fight werewolves-"

Hermione's eyelashes fluttered, and she was looking at herself who was standing with Ron at this time, frightened.

"But when Professor Bryan was in his fifth year, he fought off a powerful dark wizard in the Forbidden Forest and fought Dumbledore."

Harry said unwillingly, but he knew in his heart that this was something that could not be compared.

Just as Ron had always admired his talent for Quidditch, Neville was also envious of Hermione's intelligence when he was in school, everyone had something they were good at, and Professor Bryan might be good at fighting.

"The green light."

Hermione muttered, her gaze wandering around, then fixed in one place,

"If I'm not mistaken, it should have come from that direction, we'll have to lean over there, Harry, but be careful, if you find out, the consequences will be terrible."

Harry nodded, and he and Hermione crouched on the ground.

The rustle of the body against the fallen leaves on the ground was completely hidden in the roar of the battlefield, and no one could hear it.

They ended up in a place with a better view, and just as the severed-eared werewolf pounced on Harry, Sirius desperately shook off the haunting werewolf and rushed up to finish off the severed-eared werewolf.

"He loves you so much, Harry."

Hermione muttered quietly.

Harry watched in silence as Sirius rushed back to relieve him, feeling a warm current in his chest warm his heart, and then, he clenched his fists and looked away, his resolute eyes in the direction of the green light Hermione had pointed out.
