Chapter 372: Aftermath
After the duel between Sirius and Snape, some changes took place within Hogwarts that some far-sighted people could predict.
This change is mainly manifested in the young wizards of the two houses, Gryffindor and Slytherin.
The two academies, who had not dealt with each other very well, were now more and more tense, whether it was in the Great Hall, in the hallway or courtyard of the school, or in the classrooms, the young wizards of the two academies almost completely did not communicate, they were hostile to each other and wary of each other.
This vigilance is not untargeted, Harry has encountered countless black hands on the way to and from class during this time, although Malfoy has no evidence that it is him, but Harry can be sure that one afternoon, hiding behind the corner of the stairs, quietly stumbling on him, and throwing a big at his head after he falls, it is definitely him.
But Malfoy was obviously irrational in doing this, because he forgot that in terms of the number of big dung eggs, he was definitely not as good as the Weasley brothers in Gryffindor, and even the big eggs he got in his hands might have been sold by Fred and George.
One evening in mid-to-late March, after Professor Sinista had finished his astronomy lesson, the Slytherin wizards were walking down the observatory and through the inner courtyard back to the main castle, preparing to return to Slatterin's underground public rest through the underground passage on the side of the foyer, when a smell from the auditorium slowed Crabbe and Goyle down.
Needless to say, what happened next is needless to say.
When Filch was attracted by the angry roar and the terrible cries for help, the starlight swayed in the auditorium, and the smell of the stinky big dung eggs made Filch vomit directly, the stench was so stubborn that even if Filch worked all night, the air could not be freshened again.
Needless to say, the deans of the four houses were furious at the same time, ordering the prefects and the presidents of the male and female student councils to step up their night patrols, and personally asking the portraits near the Great Hall about the little wizard who had been haunting the Great Hall that night, but they did not get any useful clues.
The guy who committed the crime had a strong sense of anti-reconnaissance and did not leave any horses.
"It's strange to me, Headmaster Dumbledore-"
When summarizing the information afterwards, Snape said to Dumbledore, but the black hole's eyes looked at Sirius unabashedly,
"Who in this school is good at evading detection and stealth their whereabouts?"
"If you're going to ask my opinion, Severus--" Dumbledore put down the silver fork and said calmly, "as far as I know, Amosta is good at this. β
"Speak with your conscience, Headmaster Dumbledore." Amosta rolled her eyes, "Your attainments in this area are as good as any wizard. β
"Are you suspicious of me, Snape?"
Sirius didn't show any weakness in Hell, and he couldn't stand Snape's cynicism.
"I'm not blaming anyone--"
Snape smiled sleekly,
"I'm just reminding you that on the night of last year's Halloween dinner, a brute snuck into the school and was not noticed by anyone."
"If you want to know the answer,"
Sirius said coldly,
"I can tell you that I hate that boy from the Malfoy family, he's as full of tricks as his father, but I haven't thrown a big egg on his head."
"Please, you two are okay!" Professor McGonagall glared angrily at Snape and Sirius, "Can you please stop arguing during dinner, haven't you noticed that the little wizards are watching you!" β
The quarrel that was about to start was stopped by Professor McGonagall's strong stopping, and after dinner, before leaving, Dumbledore issued a similar warning, hoping that the tension in Hogwarts Castle that had been going on for half a month would end.
"I really didn't do anything to that kid from the Malfoys--"
Sirius's office was used by Remus before, and when he walked up to the third floor with Amosta, Sirius grimaced and smirked,
"I'm just giving some pointers to the Weasley twins and Harry, and if you want to get caught in your pranks, you have to be wary of the portraits of those who like to snitch."
"Please, don't trouble me again--"
Amosta was not surprised that Sirius intervened in this matter, and he said with a calm face,
"I'm the one who found a way to get rid of Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle, as well as the stench of big in the auditorium!"
Dumbledore must have warned Snape in private, and Sirius, on his part, had been persuaded by Amosta to weaken his aggressiveness, and to a certain extent, the rivalry between Slytherin and Gryffindor had finally eased somewhat.
However, the school faced more than one problem, and Amosta's physical education class also had a non-negligible impact on the teaching of the professors in Hogwarts.
Although he chose to spend the morning exercising the physical strength of the young wizards, and not interfering with the normal time of class, the experience of the young wizards was always limited, and arriving at the Quidditch pitch before six o'clock meant that they had to get up from the warm and comfortable four-poster beds every day while it was still dark, and plunge into the darkness of the eve of dawn without breakfast.
Now, apart from Professor Binns's History of Magic course, even in Professor McGonagall and Snape's class, there are young wizards who can't stop their sleepiness.
"Maybe you can schedule your classes in the evening, Amosta, like Aurora--"
Unable to bear it, Professor McGonagall finally found Amosta, and she yelled loudly in Amosta's office,
"Look at the situation right now, at least a quarter of the fourth-grade Ravenclaw students dozed off in my class this morning!"
"Only a quarter, Professor McGonagall."
Amosta smiled shyly, "That's not too high, is it?" β
"That's because the little wizards of four years of Ravenclaw are still insisting on your physical education class, and there are only a quarter of the little wizards left!"
Professor McGonagall said grimly.
As a matter of fact, about a third of the young wizards dropped out of the course within the first week of gym class at Amosta, and Ravenclaw, who were mostly girls, had no interest in the fun-free Muggle sport, and were one of the houses that dropped out the most.
Amosta didn't mind that, as he had said before, he had expected this to happen.
The rest of the little wizards also felt tired and bored, but they were still persisting for various reasons, and it was estimated that after a month had passed, there might be less than fifty little wizards left.
Neville may be the only young wizard who has fun with it.
"The class is simple--"
There was a dreary atmosphere in the common room on Friday night, because tomorrow morning, the little wizards who had insisted until now had to continue to wake up early, which completely deprived the meaning of the holiday,
"I mean, it doesn't use its brains much, you know, I'm afraid of that!"
For the optimistic Neville, the rest of the people don't know what to say.
"Andβ"
Neville stood up and patted his stomach,
"When I come home for the summer vacation, I'm sure my grandma will be amazed, she has thought of so many ways to hope that I can lose weight."
Neville didn't amuse them, and Ginny said worriedly,
"I met Percy in the library today, and he told me that Penelope had decided to give up Professor Brian's class because she had dozed off in Professor Snape's potions class and had not been able to deal with the potions splashing in the cauldron in time, resulting in a large scabies on her nose, which made Percy very distressed."
"Oh-" Hermione frowned, "what is Percy going to do, is he going to give up?" β
"I think he's going to stick with it." "Of course, he thinks the same as us, we're not Muggle athletes, so why spend so much energy on exercising, but as you all know, he's planning to ask Professor Blaine to write him a letter of recommendation, and if he gives up the course, he's embarrassed to go back to Professor Blaine." Anyway, he graduated in a few months. β
