5. Generous and tolerant
Generosity is a kind of cultivation, and it is the embodiment of a humanistic and elegant personality and healthy psychology. It comes from its philosophy, ideals, and moral cultivation. If you are broad-minded, you must see the wise and think together, and you cannot be jealous of the virtuous. And narrow-mindedness is a sign of not being humble enough, not being tolerant of others, and having a bad character. To be generous and not stingy, we must first broaden our horizons and not be short-sighted. Because, people with broad vision will be more atmospheric in looking at problems, while people with no insight can only be confined to their own small circle and quarrel with others over trivial things. We must always observe and understand the world with a beautiful heart, and look at problems with a long-term vision, only in this way can we have a grand and profound vision and show profound sensibility and rationality. If you are broad-minded, you must be generous and tolerant, and you can't have a small belly.
There were two brothers who partnered to set up a garment factory in Shenzhen. The brothers worked hard for ten years, seeing that the factory had improved, and the money was rolling in, however, the brother and daughter-in-law began to suspect that the eldest uncle had taken advantage of it, and the brother and sister-in-law also began to suspect that the younger brother-in-law had secretly swallowed more money. Because both brothers put their minds into splitting up, there was no one to manage it, and the market economy was ruthless, so it didn't take long for a good factory to close down.
The so-called "family and everything is prosperous", to do this, not only need to be broad-minded, but also to pay your sincerity, if the two brothers do not care about the momentary gains and losses, unity and get along, I am afraid it will not lead to the result of the closure of the factory!
There is a story in the Buddhist scriptures that once upon a time there were two people, one named Tijra and the other named Narai. These two men were so powerful and skilled that they were Brahmins, Buddhist disciples, immortals, saints, dragon kings, and all the ghosts and gods, all of whom admired and worshipped them.
One night, Tyrjain was very tired from the long chanting and went to sleep. Narai had not yet slept when he accidentally stepped on Tijain's head, causing him unbearable pain. Tijina was furious and said, "Who stepped on my head? Tomorrow morning, when the sun rises a rod high, his head will be broken into seven pieces! When Nalai heard this, he also exclaimed angrily: "I stepped on you by mistake, why did you put such a heavy curse?" When the utensils are put together, and when they collide, not to mention that people get along with each other, how can there never be a mistake? You said that when the sun rises tomorrow, my head will be split into seven pieces, so I'm going to keep the sun from coming out, you see! ”
Because of Narai's spell, the sun did not rise the next day.
Five days have passed, the sun has not yet appeared, and the world is in total darkness.
It can be seen how important tolerance is, and if you are not careful, you will plunge yourself and others into "darkness", and the darkness in front of you and the darkness of your mind will make you troubled.
Being lenient to others has always been respected by the wise and benevolent people in the history of our country.
"Only width can accommodate people, but thickness can carry things." Some people are completely "strict with others and lenient with themselves." If someone else does a little bit wrong, they will use the topic to play, scold, and completely ignore the feelings of others, as if others will make mistakes again and again, and want to trample on the dignity of others. If you do something wrong, you can turn black into white, or simply pass the buck.
This kind of person is annoying. On the contrary, some people are lenient with others and strict with themselves will be liked.
Qing Dynasty scholar Zhang Chao has a saying: "Self-discipline should bring the autumn breeze, and deal with affairs with the spring breeze." "Let's take a more long-term view and think less narrowly; More majestic atmosphere, less small-bellied chicken intestines; More understanding, tolerance, and less complaining, this is the temperament and mind necessary for modern promising people.
