Chapter 5: The Stone Cold Killer
This is not a silent ambush. The rocks rushed down the mountain at an unprecedented speed, almost 40 kilograms, right in front of a leprechaun. When a goblin sees the rock, he hides behind a ledge, thinking he is safe.
Wrong.
The stone flew almost exactly past the elf's head, and that's how fast it moved. But just after it jumped off a cliff and hovered over the goblin......
It braked in mid-air.
The movement turns to heat, but only horizontally. The rock maintained all other motion and moved directly down direction, heating only a little.
The goblin saw only the shadow of the approach.
Long planks.

The stone continued forward, rolling past the fresh orc corpse. Accelerate again. It came true.
If it keeps braking, then keeps rolling, and then brakes again, it gradually heats up. The energy is stored.
If used quickly enough, this energy can be converted into movement. This skill has a cooldown, and the heat does dissipate, especially when there is a lot of heat.
The speed of the rock slowed down significantly and began to heat up. But still crawling, always looking for more prey.
It saw a scout party of 5 goblins marching up the hill, eventually stopping completely, turning all remaining movement into heat. It was heated and was still only about 100 degrees above 0 degrees Celsius.
The scouts, who had just seen a hot-looking rock, stood motionless on the mountainside.
They saw it stop.
And, huh...... A stone standing still on the mountainside is an interesting thing for the elves. They can kick it down and see how it bounces back, hoping to smash the skull of some hapless person. They got closer. The stone was aimed.
and release.

The other orcs stood there dumbfounded, stunned at the sight of a head that suddenly exploded like a ripe melon. They just stared, stared at the stone, and it stood there motionless again.
It hasn't used up all its calories yet. Not close. It's waiting for a cooldown...... Slowly......
Right now!
It lunged forward again, like a rock-shaped viper, smashing a man's head, but this time, the remaining three goblins ran away and fled in all directions. The rocks are in pursuit.
The first goblin ran to the right, and the rocks chased him, jumping off the steep edge of the rocky mountainside. In fear, the goblin tripped over a small rock and fell. The larger rock salutes the companion, thanks him for his help, and walks towards the person who completed the task.
Two other orcs - one of them was walking upwards.
This really stopped the rock, it just kept sinking. Can it rise on its own?
It half-heartedly climbed up the slope with some effort. The highest level it allows.
It had risen a long distance, but not yet reached the elf, and then began to roll down again. Before the skill's cooldown returned, it fell below its firing point. The rock realizes that this method has a limitation: the energy is constantly lost. It can only adjust the way it floats along the gravity stream, not really swim against gravity.
Reluctantly, it let the smarter goblin escape, and turned its attention back down. Down, down, all the way down, isn't it?
Will it go up?
Once it reaches the bottom of the mountain, which is the end of gravity, what else can it do? Stuck there forever?
As it is now, it will never reach the top of the mountain again. Is this the fate it deserves? No.
However, there are still very few options at the moment. It saw the orcs running down in panic, almost sighed, and continued to chase. But its heart is no longer here - it's not in a hurry.
Why did it rush down the mountain, which might be a harbinger of its end?
Therefore, the rock made a half-hearted effort in the chase. If the goblin starts to slow down, the stone will speed itself up a bit, and then it will wander around again, going around in circles, looking for anything interesting.
Find out. Energy – The key is energy. Now, its only new source of energy is gravity itself, a rather harsh and merciless hostess who will only let it sink. But it reminds me of coal, fire, and heat.
Can it ignite such boiling heat within itself? Where did these strange creatures find the energy to defy gravity and rush madly up the mountain?
The rocks are almost beginning to respect the orcs, who bravely spit on gravity and bravely challenge the highest places. Where the hell is that leprechaun going?
It dawned on the rock that the goblins were no longer running wildly in a panic. It knows where it's going. Will it take you to a place where there is more refinement?
It gets excited. Who knew that prolonging the pursuit of existential despair would have such benefits? Where are the leprechauns going? What will be found in the rocks?
When the first spark of adventure was rekindled, all philosophical troubles disappeared from the rock's mind. It's like a small pebble rediscovering the world, and the heat from its excessive braking glistens and falls downward.
Finally, the goblin reached its destination. There is a hole in the mountain. It is not a natural stone, it is carefully piled up. It tiptoed closer, feeling a change in the air. Something different, something new.
It recognizes something with new senses.
Energy.
It can sense these things now, so it can feel something. Something absolutely full of energy, emanating from the air around it. Out of that little hole? What generates so much energy?
For a moment, it peeked out of the hole, without eyes looking at the endless slope. It is likely to continue its downward trajectory, continuing its main mission. Even in vain. Still is......
It can have a side quest.
So, the rock made a decision. How long do side quests take? It doesn't distract.
In a deeper hole, at the bottom of the pit, a goblin finally got rid of the terrible stone and breathed a sigh of relief. He hadn't noticed it for five minutes, but he was still upset.
Suddenly—he felt a shadow up there—
Long planks.
