Chapter 171: Listening to the Tao and Not Cultivating the Tao
The old man waved his hand after speaking, and it seemed that he was about to disappear again.
Zhao Chuan sat in front and hurriedly got up, but before he could speak, the old man suddenly disappeared again.
Zhao Chuan was a little embarrassed, but the people next to him seemed to be accustomed to Zhao Chuan's actions, and no one was surprised by him, didn't even look at him, and dispersed in a hurry.
Zhao Chuan couldn't hold it back, and after everyone left, he asked Jiang Feng L, who came over, "What kind of place is this?" Who is this preacher and hearer? ”
Jiang Feng smiled and said, "I don't know very well, I was also called by a friend to listen to the class, after listening to it once, I felt that you would be interested in this, so I also called you......"
Zhao Chuan was speechless.
The next day, Zhao Chuan came again as usual, but he secretly made up his mind in his heart: as soon as the old man finished speaking, he would immediately entangle him.
This time, the old man came late.
Zhao Chuan was sitting in front of him thinking about what was in his heart, and the old man suddenly appeared on the stage.
That's how this guy came? It's really gone without a trace.
But without waiting for him to think about it more, the old man glanced at Zhao Chuan and began to say, "Let me ask you questions today, because you listened a lot a few days ago, and you must have some questions in your heart." You've asked about it. ”
Someone below immediately got up and asked: Ask the teacher how to improve your own energy, how to improve your aura during acupuncture?
The old man smiled: My own exercise is to improve my energy, of course, I didn't talk about the specific methods in the five techniques today, because that would be too much.
Someone asked: Teacher, as you said in the previous course, what things receive is sexuality, what sex is life, and what people receive is also sexuality, and that person's character is also suffered by heaven, can it be said that people's character is innately determined?
The old man nodded: It can also be changed.
Someone asked: Thank you very much, teacher, for asking for advice: the heart of heaven is difficult to change, the nature is difficult to change, and changing the life is to change the nature, so what factors determine or influence the heart of heaven and nature?
The old man said: The Tianxin Universe can only be talked about when it comes to specific cultivation.
Someone asked: People with strong energy are also strong in holding power (force), right?
The old man said, "Yes."
The old man seemed to be a little tired today, yawned, and said, "Vajra longevity gong is mainly kinetic exercises, and I will tell you some meditation exercises later, so that everyone can actually practice."
Guan Yinzi is Guan Ling Yinxi, surnamed Yin Mingxi. Lao Tzu rode a green ox out of the customs, Guan Yinzi looked at the purple qi from the east, and knew that there was a saint who would pass, and he would get Lao Tzu. Lao Tzu left for his five thousand words of morality. Guan Yinzi was a personal disciple of Lao Tzu, and later traveled with Lao Tzu and was known as Wen Shi Zhenren.
It can be said that Lao Tzu and Guan Yinzi are the first to open the door.
Now, there is a saying in Taoism that says that the beginning of the text is the highest, and the young yang is the greatest. The beginning of the text here refers to the school of the beginning of the text, that is, the school passed on by Guan Yinzi.
The Wenshi school is also called the Louguan school, or the Louguan road, the old Guan road.
Why is it called Louguan Road? Because Guan Yinzi is good at stargazing and looking at the qi, he once made grass for the building to observe the sky, so it is called the building view. It is called Lao Guan Dao because it is passed down by Lao Tzu and Guan Yinzi.
Here, I would like to clarify with you a few concepts, that is, what is the Tao, what is the door, what is the school, and what is the teaching.
Let's start with the door. The door is a similar concept to the home, the so-called who's door is the door. The concept of the so-called door is the meaning of an independent door, and one door is independent from each other.
For example, we now say Taoism, Buddhism, Confucianism, etc., we can also call Taoism, Buddhism, Confucianism, etc., and there are different categories between them.
For a person to set up a door, he must have his own unique and groundbreaking ideological system, so that he can stand on his own.
For example, Du Xinwu in the Republic of China, he created a new martial arts system, so he called himself Nature.
And the counterpart to the door is the pie. A school is also called a school, which is a concept under the door, that is, there are different styles and characteristics under the same door, which is called a school.
Therefore, like the Daomen, it is divided into many factions, such as the Quanzhen faction, the Zhengyi faction, and so on.
The Quanzhen faction is heavy Danding, and the Zhengyi faction is heavy on talismans, and its emphasis is different.
Then why are there such titles as the Pure Path, the Righteous One, and so on?
This is because they all belong to the Daomen, so they call themselves so-and-so. And the reason why they call themselves a certain Tao instead of a certain sect is because they think that what they inherit is the orthodoxy of the Daomen, not just a small branch, so they call themselves such and such a way.
Therefore, it is generally said that they call themselves so-and-so, and others call them so-and-so.
Just like our true medicine, why not call it true Chinese medicine? It's because we think that medicine itself should be like this, not just a branch of medicine that is opposed to Western medicine.
In addition to sects and sects, there is also a concept, which is teaching.
For example, the whole truth is also called the whole truth religion. What does it mean to teach? Religion refers to a group, generally a religious group, it is a form of religious group, so it is called religion.
Therefore, everyone must understand that Taoism, or Taoism, is different from Taoism.
Taoism is a religious group, while Taoism is not.
Let's go back to the Taoist. All people in Taoism can be called Taoists, that is, people who cultivate the Tao, and people in Taoism are generally called Taoists.
Historically, there were many people in the Taoist sect, but many were not Taoist priests. Including Daozu Laozi, Taoist Guan Yinzi, etc., they are only cultivators, and Taoism has not been established. Taoism was founded by Zhang Daoling Heavenly Master of the Eastern Han Dynasty.
Historically, the people in the Taoist sect are either hidden or explicit, or out and help the world, or retreat and retreat, such as the Taoist ancestor and the Taoist sect, Liezi, Wenzi, Zhuangzi, Lu Shang, Guan Zhong, Fan Li, Guiguzi, Zhang Liang, Zhuge Kongming, Liu Bowen, etc., are all people in the Daomen.
Therefore, when you think of a Taoist, you should not think that you are a Taoist, and when you think of cultivation, you have to go up to the mountain to become a monk, which is not right. Cultivation can be said to be just a way of life, and everyone can cultivate the Tao.
This is the first concept that we must first understand, that is, cultivation is something that everyone can do, and the Tao is not far away.
After talking about it so much, it feels like I haven't really started talking about it yet.
Today we will talk about so much, today will be counted as the preface, and tomorrow we will start to formally talk about monasticism, how to cultivate as an ordinary person, and what exactly to cultivate.
Do you have any questions?
There was a buzz below, and after a while, someone got up and asked: Can the teacher tell us about the difference between the essence of a Taoist priest and a Taoist? Are Taoist priests in Taoism also cultivators?
The old man said, "Of course, Taoist priests are also cultivators."
Someone asked: Why didn't Lao Tzu spread the word before?
The old man said: It's not that Lao Tzu didn't spread the Tao before, there were many real people who had attained the Tao before Lao Tzu, such as Peng Zu, Guangchengzi, Chi Songzi, Qi Bo, Yellow Emperor, all of them. Qi Huang passed on the Neijing, Lao Tzu passed on morality, and what they passed on was different.
Someone asked: May I ask the true teacher, is Nuwa a real figure in history? I'm sure I'm asking too idiotic, but I really don't understand that Nuwa created man is a mythical story.
The old man said: All myths and legends are true, but later generations don't understand them, so they think they are legends.
Someone asked: Teacher, the avenue is formless and ruthless, but the path of cultivation needs to be affectionate, what is the affection here?
The old man said, "It's too early to ask this question."
Someone asked: How to understand the relationship between the four major domains (Dao, Heaven, Earth, and Man)? Why did it say in the previous handouts: "The big is gone, the death is far away, and the distance is reversed." On the contrary, the Tao moves. This speaks of the unity of heaven and man"? Can you recommend the authoritative version of the Tao Te Ching? Pangu opened the sky, is Pangu the person who opened the sky? Or was it in the Pangu period when Fuxi painted the sky? Does Pangu refer to people or time?
The old man said, "Ah, these questions you ask can be talked about later, what is heaven, what is earth, and what is man."
Someone asked: I want to ask the teacher, since the ancient enlightened people can live forever, why don't they choose to be emperors all the time and live to benefit mankind, but disappear later?
The old man said, "I'll talk about this later."
Someone asked: Is enlightenment a kind of freedom?
The old man said: Attaining the Tao can be said to be a kind of freedom, but there is a deeper question in this, what is freedom, and what is the purpose of cultivation.
Some people ask whether freedom is an ascension to the soul dimension, and some people think that the body is a prison that imprisons the soul.
Someone else asked: I think freedom is what Zhuangzi said, and it is the same as Datong when it is separated from form.
Someone then asked: I think it is to understand the laws and laws of all things in the world.
At the same time, someone continued: But I am afraid that this is not only a literal meaning, but I cannot understand it unless I experience it myself.
The old man said: I will talk to you about this question tomorrow.
Someone asked, "Teacher, do you have time to talk about your chances of learning the Tao?"
The old man smiled: Everyone's opportunity to learn the Tao is different, and it is not important how to enter the Tao, but what is important is to attain the Tao.
Someone asked: Teacher, ordinary people can cultivate the Tao, but can those who suffer from a variety of diseases and have blocked pulses in the Governor's pulse be able to cultivate the Tao?
The old man said, "Of course you can."
Today's part of the discussion is on healing techniques.
Zhao Chuan is a doctor, of course he has to find this opportunity to ask.
He thought about the question he wanted to ask, but as soon as he stood up, someone stood up in front of him and started to ask.
The man was short and fat, and he asked: Can eunuchs be imperfect people, can they also cultivate?
After the man finished speaking, many people in the audience turned their heads to look at him, and many people sighed.
The old man smiled and said lightly: Do you know how eunuchs go to the toilet after being castrated?
This answer is not what is asked, so that everyone is a little confused, and they look at each other one by one.
The old man said: How did the eunuch go to the toilet after being castrated? Few of you know about it.
Is it a man who should stand up? In fact, otherwise, those of them may urinate at any time, and they can't control it.
Those who are willing to enter the palace as eunuchs must be invoked by eunuchs with status, and then the certifier makes a "marriage book" to the palace.
The "marriage letter" must be a voluntary agreement, and then a knife maker is invited to prepare for the operation, choose a good day, and lock the cleanser in the room.
The room must be airtight, and the cleanser must clean up the excrement and then lock it in.
During this period of confinement, it is absolutely forbidden to eat or drink, lest excreted filth contaminate the wound after the operation, which may worsen the wound and become life-threatening. The reason why it is impermeable is also for the safety of the purifier. In this way, after three or four days, it is officially castrated.
After the operation, the surgeon applies white wax oil to the bleeding wound and sprinkles some pepper on the wax oil to relieve pain, and then inserts a fine wheat stalk into the child's urethra to catheter and act as a urinary catheter to prevent urine from touching the wound.
In the next few months, it will be used as a catheter for catheterization. After castration, the eunuch is like the water outlet system has been cut off the faucet, and the water will not flow out smoothly, maybe irregularly, splashing everywhere! Therefore, eunuchs are incontinent, and going to the toilet has become their only option, otherwise, they will often urinate everywhere......
The more people in the audience listened, the more confused they became, this old man was completely off topic, what is this called? You're not here to hear a storyteller.
However, the old man didn't care about the expressions of the people in the audience, but insisted on finishing the matter about the eunuch.
Zhao Chuan was also confused, but this old man shouldn't be talking nonsense.
It seems that there must be a reason why people say this.
So everyone listened patiently, and they should listen to an amazing wild history.
