Trick 29 "Moving the Grave"

People say that after the death, they are all soil, corpses are dissolved and dust fly all over the sky, and it is a household to make a grave on the ground, and you must not move people at will.

In the middle of June this year, my mother called me from home, saying that my grandfather was going to move the grave, and my father was inconvenient to go back, and wanted me to go back to help. It just so happened that I was going back to my hometown, so I drove home in the big black and participated in the relocation of the grave.

As soon as I got home, I took my mother to my grandfather's house, and when I passed by my cousin's house, I learned that my two cousins and my uncle had gone to see the land with Mr. Feng Shui, and I didn't stop and went directly to the field.

As soon as I arrived at the location, I quickly got out of the car, according to the rural custom, only men can go to the grave, and women cannot appear, so my mother stayed in the car.

When I got near, I saw a one-eyed old man wearing a black top hat and holding a compass the size of two palms. Pacing back and forth between a few small trees, the two cousins pulled a white ink bucket line on the ground to fix the point, the one-eyed old man was Mr. Feng Shui, I heard that he was very famous in ten miles and eight towns.

For the feng shui master at home、I have been in contact with it twice,This is the second time、In my impression、Feng Shui Mr. is the kind of very mysterious,And there is an aura that is different from ordinary people。 The real touch is really different, and they all have standard objects: a compass, an ink fountain line, a black top hat, a black briefcase from the seventies and eighties, and the most surprising thing is that they can determine where they can dig, how deep, how wide, how long, and so on.

After a short time, the location was set, the second cousin sent Mr. back, I heard that the health is not very good, I was curious to ask a few more words, and learned that this gentleman is 70 years old, still alone and childless, has been doing this for decades, and it is very powerful to change the grave and fix the hole, which may be the price to pay for this trip.

According to Mr. Feng Shui's explanation, we will first go to my grandfather's grave at 12 o'clock that night to break the ground, inform the underground grandfather that he is going to move, and then come back at 4 o'clock in the morning to officially break the ground and dig the grave, and bury before 12 o'clock in the daytime.

That evening, at almost eleven o'clock, my two cousins, my eldest brother, my third uncle, and I set off for my grandfather's grave with things to prepare. The cemetery is in a forest by the river, and the other graves around it have been moved away one after another, and at this time, the uncle said that because this land was requisitioned to build a community, it will be moved, and now there is only one grave left for the grandfather. In recent years, due to the reform of rural land, many places have been making these changes, but I don't understand that the community is built in this location, this land is surrounded by water, and it is completely in the wilderness, even if it is built, it is estimated that no one will live in it.

As soon as the time came to twelve o'clock, the eldest cousin burned the fire paper he had brought, and then put some offerings, and the second cousin turned over a shovel of earth, and I lit a firecracker, and the two uncles were muttering on the side, "It's time to move, get things ready, and so on." The ashes of the burned paper money flew up in circles and swirled over the grave, as if the grandfather in the ground was responding. I kowtowed three times, got up and walked around the grave, and as I went around the grave, I suddenly saw a shadow flashing in the trees in the distance, and I thought it was not surprising that I had encountered anything in this environment.

I heard that the day after my grandfather was buried, a big rooster that my grandfather had raised for a long time disappeared, and then my uncle found it in front of my grandfather's grave, and the big rooster was guarding in front of my grandfather's grave, and caught some small insects that broke into the grave to eat, until seven days later, the big rooster disappeared completely. People in the village say that this is because the location of Grandpa's tomb has better feng shui, and it is a treasure land that can bless future generations.

When it was over, we went back to eat something and rested, until my mother woke me up at four o'clock in the morning, and when I arrived at my uncle's house again, there were already twenty or thirty people who had come to help. Everyone simply eats breakfast and then sets off to the cemetery, which is the custom of helping to lift the grave without an empty stomach, and there are many rules like this in the countryside. When we arrived at the cemetery, it was just dawn, and everyone began to break ground in three waves, and I won't go into too much detail about this process. When I dug out the head of Grandpa's wooden coffin, I suddenly found a small snake with a red edge writhing in the soil, and I quickly told the person who was digging the soil, but it was still a step too late, and the little snake was cut in two.

I don't know what this signed, so I stepped forward and moved the snake and a handful of dirt to the grass on the side, and then I thought that there might be another coffin, so I stared at the position of the coffin. Feng Shui Feng Shui, I've only read it in a book, and I really haven't seen it on the spot, so I really have a lot of insight this time. Grandpa's coffin has been buried in the ground for so long, and it has not been damaged at all, even the coffin clothes have not been damaged in the slightest, and the water traces can be seen with the naked eye below the bottom of the wooden coffin, but the above parts are dry, and the two wooden coffins are the same. As expected, there was also an identical snake at the head of my grandmother's coffin, and this time I was quick and asked the digger to shovel the snake aside.

The little snake did not run away immediately, but spun around the spot, then swam around the dead one again and disappeared into the grass. I witnessed the whole process, and something was really amazing, when the two coffins came out smoothly, the eldest cousin put four corn stalks in the place of the original wooden coffin, pressed two green bricks on top, and lit a stack of fire paper. There is also a small episode here, that is, after the little snake in the coffin of grandpa was cut by mistake, it took a long time for grandpa's coffin to get up, and the middle rope was broken once, and grandma's coffin process was very smooth.

Some people were left to backfill the big pit behind the grave, and the rest of the people were transported to the new burial site by flat cart in two groups, and it was almost noon, the sun was already very poisonous, and the two large coffins were transported manually, and even I was in the prime of life and almost vomited. Later, the burial again was relatively smooth, and when the new burial place was chosen, several uncles also made some unpleasant trouble, and after understanding, I realized that Mr. Feng Shui also set the place for the uncles in a hundred years when choosing the site.

Chinese people are born with the arrangement after death, and after thousands of years of circulation, they have gradually formed their own customs and habits, and here I have sorted out a few points.

1. In the process of moving the grave, it is better to not be "noon" in the hour, so as to avoid the noon sun burning the bones. If there are many graves to be moved, you can stop "picking up" the bones at "noon", and at the same time cover the graves and bones with a black cloth, and wait for the "noon" before moving the graves.

2. The first three shovels of soil to start digging the grave must be done by the son or grandson of the deceased. If the deceased has no children or grandchildren, he should be replaced by a "blessed person". (The death of a blessed person refers to a woman who has both parents alive, a husband, and children.) )

3. The burial ranking should be divided into primary and secondary, usually the east is the upper and the west is the lower; the northeast is the upper position, the southwest is the lower position; the northwest is the upper position, the southeast is the lower position; The north is the upper and the south is the lower. If a person with two wives is buried, the husband is the first, the original wife is secondary, and the second wife is secondary.

4. The eldest son holds the spirit head banner and throws the mourning basin, and walks in front of the spirit with the male dependents, while the female dependents follow the coffin of the queen of the spirit by car to cover the "coffin cover". Then the coffin was carried to the cemetery by 8, 16, 24, and 36 people, buried in the tomb prepared in advance, and the grave was raised with earth, and then the eldest son put the spirit head on the grave and burned the gold and silver treasury with paper paste for the deceased to enjoy in the "underworld".

5. When the remains of the deceased are about to be unearthed, the daughter or granddaughter of the deceased should hold up a black umbrella or reed mat to block the sunlight and avoid strong sunlight exposure to the bones of the deceased, and then the soul will be scattered and there will be no reincarnation.

6. "Rise" before the grave to put incense, worship the ancestors and burn money. Pray for the reason and address of the ancestors to move their graves, and ask the ancestors to protect future generations.

7. If a new grave cannot be relocated when it is buried for less than one year, if the grave is relocated within one year, there will be a situation where someone in the family dies.

8. After the bones are collected and buried for the second time, a radish, four apples, and seven copper coins should be thrown into the original tomb. The dilapidated coffin and shroud can be burned after the tomb is filled, and it must not be taken to the new yin house.

9. The bones of the ancestors after the acupuncture must be placed neatly, and the joints of the bones should be placed in situ. If there is a missing knuckle, it should be carefully searched to avoid physical injury to future generations. The bones of the hands and feet and kneecaps of the remains must be placed according to the normal physiological structure, and must not be turned forward, backward, left, right, and right. Otherwise, just like the ancestors were bound hand and foot, and knelt down, the descendants will definitely be unlucky, and they will not be prosperous.

There are also four taboos:

1. The location of the new cemetery should not be located in a prosperous area: as we all know, the tomb is a yin house. Therefore, when choosing a site for the relocation of the grave, it is necessary to choose a secluded place for the deceased to rest in peace. If the new cemetery site is relatively close to the Yang House, or on the side of the road where people and cars come and go, it will inevitably affect the rest of the deceased, and the deceased will not be at peace, which will naturally affect the fortune of children and grandchildren.

2. There is no "portal" among the four taboos of moving graves: the yang house has its own portal, and the yin house also has its own portal. Some elders died early and did not pay much attention to the taboos when buried, so they buried their ancestors hastily, so that the grave was relatively small or there was no tombstone next to the grave. Such a grave usually does not gather qi well, and naturally it cannot protect children and grandchildren well.

3. The four taboos of moving graves are dense in yin houses: in many families with good living conditions, most of the ancestors' graves are selected in relatively open places (there are few other tombs). If there are many graves or new graves around the grave of the deceased, it will inevitably bring a sense of urgency and depression to the ancestors, which will have a negative impact on the descendants, which is the main reason why many people open a separate place to bury/relocate the graves of their ancestors.

4. The four taboos of moving graves are the low depression of the grave mountain: it is very unlucky if the grave head is depressed in the rural grave, so it should be quickly completed when the grave is sunken. Because the grave head is low, it will lead to water storage, causing the offspring to be weak and cold, and it is easy to have unfilial descendants. It is best to plant pines and cypresses around the grave and keep a certain distance from the grave, because the roots of the tree are easy to entangle the coffin and damage the coffin, so as to affect the career and physical and mental health of children and grandchildren.

Each place may have some different rules, but the general meaning is basically the same, that is, to hope that the deceased will rest in peace and bless future generations.
