Trick 45 "Sharp Knife Class"
Napoleon's wise saying that a soldier who does not want to be a general is not a good soldier. But in the real army, this theory is basically impossible to exist in the hearts of ordinary soldiers, but we still have a goal that can be reached, that is, to become a top soldier! Although their respective units are different, it is the ultimate goal of every soldier to excel in their respective classes.
I was one of those soldiers, because I was an infantryman, so when I became a motorist, my military skills were very high-quality among the motorists. The training goal given by our regiment commander is to be able to drive and fight when getting out of the car, and I also successfully entered the emergency detachment of the regiment with the second tactical score in the whole regiment, which is equivalent to the sharp knife class, and won the title of "flying on the grass".
In the army, some specific training will be carried out every year, camping training is also one of them, the purpose of this training is to exercise our marching and emergency response capabilities, although it is a second-line army, but every year there will still be such a half-month training, but also the comrades-in-arms are most looking forward to a training, the reason is very simple, that is, you can get out of the boring barracks, go outside activities, experience a different life.
In the winter of one year, the regiment organized training as usual, but this time it was different from the past in that the army required us to add many training subjects to our training, such as a three-kilometer rapid march, an ambush by the enemy, and a night march. In this regard, the regiment specially organized a sharp knife squad to deal with these emergencies, and the leader of the sharp knife squad was my company commander, and the remaining nine members were selected, because this team had to be fully armed, and of course I, as the only ordnance officer in the whole regiment, was among them, and I was a soldier carrying ammunition.
Most of these routes are in the wilderness far from the city, and they rarely appear in crowded places for fear of disturbing the people. The distance traveled every day is also planned, the longest day of the march can be nearly 70 kilometers, in order not to grind the feet and crotch, we also prepared sanitary napkins and large pants, which are the kind of sanitary napkins used by girls during their menstrual periods, and the sanitary napkins of the service agency were looted by a group of old men, which is really unforgettable.
The main task of the sharp knife squad is to explore the road, our company commander according to the route of the marching map, let us explore the road in pairs, when we encounter the intersection, put a soldier as a guide, and the rest continue to explore the way, so the road we have to take is far more than the large army. In this training, I also encountered a few strange things, which added a bit of mystery and excitement to the planned training task.
On the first day of departure, we first walked around the camp for a day, and at noon we rested in a forest, where there were twenty or thirty graves, and some comrades-in-arms sat on the edge of the grave to rest. There are too many people, everyone has no scruples, the main thing is that they are too tired, and some of the recruits are already a little unbearable.
The first strange thing happened on the third day of training, the winter in Henan was very cold, it was very dry and cold, and the wind blew on the face like a knife. At five o'clock in the morning, our sharp knife squad was ordered to set off to explore the road, and the fog was thick and thick on this day, and the visibility was only five or six meters.
According to the order of the company commander, I and a comrade-in-arms from Sichuan were designated as the third group, and soon the first and second teams found the intersection where they needed to stay behind, and at this time, it was about half past five, and the contact range of the walkie-talkie was just at the limit, so the company commander and three people stayed in place, and let our third group continue to move forward along the route.
Because the fog was too heavy, we walked forward one after the other, keeping an eye for intersections and observing our surroundings. I had never seen such a fog before, and it felt like I was in a white cloud, and I just looked around, not paying attention to the road under my feet, and suddenly I tripped over a large rock. The comrade-in-arms who walked in front turned around and beckoned me to slow down, and then continued to walk forward without stopping.
I replied that he was fine, and at the same time moved the stumbling stones to the side, so as not to affect the movement of the large army behind, and just after I finished cleaning up, I suddenly found that my comrades walking in front were gone, and it was estimated that the fog was too great.
I hurriedly walked forward, trying to catch up with my comrade-in-arms, but strange things happened, I ran forward for five minutes, and I didn't see my comrade-in-arms, according to the speed at which he walked and I ran, I should have caught up a long time ago, but now I have walked such a long distance, I can't even see the figure of others.
At this time, a vague back appeared in the dense fog in front of me, and I was surprised when I saw it, and quickly ran over, and as my running speed increased, the back was still vague, and I thought to myself, isn't this guy also running, so I shouted his name while running.
In this way, I followed the back of my comrade-in-arms for a few hundred meters, but I could no longer run, and my backpack, satchel, water bottle, bullet belt, and rifle weighed dozens of pounds.
I bent down and gasped for breath, looking at his back in the fog in front of me, the more I looked at it, the more I felt that something was wrong, because from just now to now, his back has always been in that state of back, and what is even stranger is that he is still in the state of his back to keep the distance from me just now, and he can't see clearly in a vague way.
"Have you even looked at the road and walked, giving Lao Tzu such a run, I'm tired to death!"
I was tired and angry, and I couldn't help but scold, and when I heard my scolding, he seemed to react a little, and I saw that he was slowly turning around with a slight movement, and his movement was like an old man.
"Damn~ You didn't just hear me call you, right?"
I adjusted my breathing and grumbled again. At this moment, there was a faint sound of slogans and singing behind me, and as soon as I heard a large army coming in this direction, I looked up and motioned for my comrade to come over, and let out a sigh of relief.
"Oh, I'm going~ It's finally here, just wait for them, it's so foggy now, it's easy to get lost~"
As soon as I finished speaking, I looked at my comrade again, and he was gone, leaving only a thick layer of fog. Surprised, the slogan behind me was getting closer and closer, and I took a deep breath and chased after the fog in front of me again.
This time, not long after, I heard a few footsteps behind me, and I stopped and turned my head to look, only to see the company commander chasing after me with a few soldiers from the knife squad. I was puzzled that the Sichuan comrade-in-arms who was in my group was among the several people.
"Huh? Didn't you just run ahead of me all the time? When did you go behind me? ”
The Sichuan comrade-in-arms was also puzzled and replied.
"I just didn't see you coming up, and the fog was so big, so I turned back to look for you, and when I was looking for it, I ran into the company commander."
We both looked at each other in surprise, obviously on the same road, even if the fog was heavy, it was impossible for the two of us not to see each other. The company commander didn't wait for us to continue the discussion, and hurriedly urged us to step forward again to explore the way, and just like that, we followed the company commander and ran to the front again.
Our group continued to grope our way through the thick fog, and this road did not seem to branch out, but a straight road stretched forward, and we formed two columns, each two meters apart, and the company commander looked at the map in front of the group.
"First group, you go to the side of the road to see if we're on the embankment now."
The company commander gave orders to the two men beside him, and they immediately felt to the sides of the road, and in a short time they came back and reported the situation. Sure enough, the road we are walking on is a river embankment, with a river on one side and a large area of farmland from a nearby village on the other.
Under the leadership of the company commander, we quickly found a bridge, and after sending a soldier to the bridge, the rest of the people continued to walk along the road, and after walking for about ten minutes, another bridge appeared in front of us, so we sent another soldier to stay. According to the time, the soldiers who stayed on the first bridge should have returned, but there was no one for a long time, and the company commander asked the soldiers who stayed on the second bridge to see him and let him catch up as soon as possible, and then hurriedly took us on the road.
At this time, the dense fog had a tendency to dissipate, and the visibility was much better than just now, so in order not to delay the trip, we changed from walking fast to trotting. Not long after, we suddenly noticed that there was another bridge on the road ahead, and the company commander looked at the map and suddenly stopped us and asked a question.
"Wait, no, isn't this bridge already over?"
A few of us also hurried to stop, and then the soldiers who remained on the first bridge also caught up, and the company commander told us to search around the bridge to see if there was any problem. We scattered in all directions, and after a while, the soldier who had stayed on the first bridge hurried to the company commander and said something to him, but I couldn't hear what he said because of the distance.
However, the company commander then stopped us from searching and told us to rest where we were, saying that we would wait for the fog to clear before leaving. In between breaks, I ran to the soldier who was standing on the first bridge and asked him what was wrong, and he said hesitantly.
"This bridge is the first bridge he just left behind, which means that we went around in the fog and came back to the same place."
This makes me also confused by the second monk, obviously it is a road, no matter how you turn it, you can't go around in circles, is it because the fog is too big, or is it a ghost hitting the wall? Combined with the back I saw at the beginning, it seemed to be guiding me all the time. The more I thought about it, the more scared I became, and the foggy scene everywhere, coupled with the cold of the morning and winter, couldn't help but make me shiver.
This time it stayed for less than ten minutes, and the slogans of the large army were heard again in the distance, and the fog around them had also dissipated. The company commander did not hesitate any longer, and after leaving one person, he continued to set off with the sharp knife squad to explore the way.
Everything went smoothly in the back, and nothing else happened to the team, but there was a small episode in the middle, when dealing with the enemy ambush, the guns of several commandos who rushed to the front jammed, and the scene was embarrassing for a while. Our battalion commander hurriedly asked me to deal with it, I was in the last echelon, and after receiving the order, I immediately ran forward, and when I ran through the second echelon, these guys suddenly pulled the trigger one after another.
In an instant, I felt several bullets "whizzing" over my head, but fortunately I used empty cartridges, and if the live bullets hit me again, it would be another fatal accident report. Then I threw myself forward and fell down, and then used a low-profile prostrate tactical maneuver to perfectly deal with a few jammed guns.
Another strange incident happened on the way back to the station of our team, and I remember it very clearly that day, because at the end of the whole day, I initially estimated that I had walked dozens of kilometers by myself, and there were several blood blisters on my feet.
Here is a little secret to tell you, that is, the kettle we pulled on our back at that time was not actually filled with water, but a pure Niulanshan Erguotou. It gives us the motivation to be comparable to stimulants, in the case of cold and tired, it can paralyze your nerves very well, keep you in a state of excitement at all times, take a sip, chew a betel nut, that feeling is simply simple.
In order to increase our enthusiasm and state of return, the regiment divided the entire team into two, one with the first battalion as the core and the other with the second battalion as the core. I belong to the 2nd Battalion, and I am also a member of our team's sharp knife squad, and it is our company commander who leads the team, but half of the team members have been replaced by people from our own company.
After the two teams separated, each made their own route according to the map, and in order to be one step ahead of them, our knife squad quickly chose a path to climb the mountain. Without much hesitation, the battalion commander immediately led people up, and the sharp knife squad opened the way in front, and the large troops followed closely behind.
The mountain roads are not easy to walk, and most of the trails are also tortuous, and some are mostly dead-end roads. So the company commander left half of the sharp knife squad to open the road normally, and the other half scattered to find their own way, and if there was a closer path, they would directly copy it.
Because my physical fitness was okay, I was assigned to the team to find the way, and after a big mouthful of Niulanshan, I spread out and started the journey of finding the way through the mountains. The mountain doesn't look too high from a distance, but when you actually feel really big in it, the feeling of looking at the mountain and running a dead horse dispels half of my drinking.
Twenty minutes after I had left the army alone, there was silence all around me, except for the sound of my feet on the branches, which seemed to have vanished suddenly. After a moment's pause, I tightened my backpack, took my gun off my body, turned the bayonet at the tip of my gun upside down, and sprang out again with my gun in my hand.
After running for more than ten minutes, two large mounds appeared in my field of vision not far in front of me, and I was sluggish for a moment and ran over, and when I got closer, the enormity of these two mounds still surprised me. I walked around the mound and didn't see any tombstones, so I judged that it was the ancestral grave of a nearby village.
On the other side of the mound, there was a path down the mountain, and as soon as I saw a road, I immediately ran down the road. Not long after I ran, two adobe houses suddenly appeared on the side of the road, and I looked down from the top and could clearly see smoke still rising from the chimney of one of the houses. There was also a small courtyard in front of the adobe house, without walls, and an old man in a green cloth garment was carrying water in the courtyard.
I looked at it and found another big rock, climbed it up, and looked down the hill along the path, which looked very long, and although I couldn't see the end at a glance, I intuitively judged that it was a way down the mountain. At that moment, the old man who was carrying water also noticed me, and he put down the bucket and craned his neck to look at me, which looked a little strange.
I looked at him for half a minute, didn't look at him again, turned and ran to the back, ready to find the group, and then told them the path down the mountain. Soon, I found the large army nearly halfway up the mountain, and I reported the situation of finding the road to the company commander, who immediately reported it to the battalion commander, and after receiving a positive answer, the large army marched towards the path under my guidance.
Soon we were on the path, and the procession was walking down the hill in an orderly manner, and by this time it was already dark, and I followed the group quickly past the two adobe houses. Strangely enough, there was not even a single light on in the two rooms, and I ran to the courtyard of the adobe house before the procession had fully passed, and I was startled at the sight of it.
There is no sign of inhabitation of the two dilapidated houses, and there is no door to the house, so you can see the inside clearly at a glance. The empty room was covered with cobwebs, and there was a crumbling earthen wall, as was the case in both rooms, and there was no more in the courtyard than I had just seen, let alone the old man I had just seen. It's hard to understand, but the difference between the front and back is really big, and it's completely different from the scene I saw at the beginning to the scene when I looked at it closely. I also considered being a homeless person, but judging from the state of the two adobe houses, it didn't look like there was a person at all, and there was so much work before and after, and it was impossible for the homeless to clean up all the traces of existence.
At the urging of my comrades, I quickly followed the group, and as I reached the foot of the mountain, I looked back at the path from which I had come, and vaguely seemed to see the two adobe houses lit up with a faint light.
After every training session, we were like a group of people who wanted to eat, disgraced, and really embarrassed. There are many things that happen during the training, because the routes we choose are extremely remote places, and we have to stand guard at night and do not distinguish between morning and evening, so we have to stand guard at night, so there are many strange things that we encounter.
I remember another time when I lived in the mountains at night, and when I was standing guard outside at night, I saw a few green ghost fires lined up in a row in the forest not far away, and I was so frightened that I quickly smoked two puffs of cigarettes to suppress my shock. Strange things like this make our nerves gradually bigger, and we won't be afraid at all, maybe it's also a group of guys with excess yang energy getting together, and the demons can't get close at all.
But in reality, on the contrary, it seems that we are more likely to come across these things and pop up from time to time to interact with them.
