Chapter 2. My memories of a small town

The Helen in my memory is only limited to the county seat, and the others only know through my father that the south is Leye and Dongfeng, the east is Hongqi and Shuanglu, the north is Changfa and Haibei, and the west is Tongxin and Qianqian, etc., these places were called communes back then, and I don't know if I have been there or not, and I have no memory.

Querying the official website of Hailun City, the data obtained is that there are 23 townships, 5 sub-district offices, 1 provincial economic development zone, 2 state-owned farms, and 6 state-owned forest farms, with a total population of 850,000, of which 650,000 are rural.

It's not my memory at all.

That kind of mottled wall is what I remember the small town in the depths of my soul, and I don't know why I knew this kind of precipitation at a young age.

At that time, the county town enclosed by the West Gate, the South Gate, the North Gate (there should also be the East Gate, but I had never seen one, and I didn't have a strong intellectual curiosity at that time) and the easternmost train station (I always regarded this as the East Gate) was not very large, and it took no more than a few minutes to ride a bicycle from south to north or from east to west.

Connecting the South Gate and the North Gate is a main road, which is only six miles and six miles long, which is not yet a kilometer.

Connecting the West Gate to the railway station is another main road, which is seven miles long.

The government and almost all major businesses are concentrated on these two roads.

For example, my favorite bookstore, cinema, and a hundred, row building, etc. (today's old photos of Baidu Helen, only to know that I remember more than 50 years of row building should be the archway, this should not actually blame me, when I was a child, this archway has been demolished, and there is no text to show, but everyone said that they went to the PAI (Yang Pingsheng) building, I naturally thought it was that row. Fortunately, there are old photos from that time to let me know what it really looks like).

This is the scope of my main activities before the age of 14, basically my memories are in this range, and the activities in this range will be slowly talked about one by one when each hobby is involved.

There are some memories of the distances that are a little further away from this range.

A few miles outside the south gate there was a flax factory.

From a distance, there are many things in the factory yard that resemble the granaries where grain depots store grain, and according to the sketch language, it is a cylindrical shape with a cone on the top.

I must have passed by more than once, but I can't remember whether I went in or not.

The reason why it is certain is that when I was in elementary school, there was an important labor that I had to squeeze seeds every autumn (I didn't know how to write these two words at first, but I had to thank my junior high school classmate Cao Chunlong for helping to solve my doubts), that is, after the corn crops were harvested, the corn stalks were cut down by the croppers to make firewood, leaving the roots in the field plus a very small part of the top, which was called a squeezer.

Every autumn, we would take a day out to bring a hemp bag (which is almost invisible to children nowadays, and this kind of sack can hold 200 pounds of potatoes), go out of the south gate, pass by this flax factory, and then walk a long way to a place where I can no longer remember the name of the place.

It should be a different place every time.

The same is to come to the field after the autumn harvest.

When we came to the field, we wore gloves and had to dig out the squeezes with great force, and if we didn't move, we had to dig them out with a fork, and after getting them out, we had to remove the soil attached to them, and then put them in sacks and take them back to the school to dry them on the playground.

Popular science, when I went to school when I was a child in winter, each class burned the stove in the class, under normal circumstances, the stove is placed close to the blackboard, and the stove will be connected to the long stove tube one by one, which is a kind of thing that is rolled into a cylinder after being beaten by an iron sheet, generally a section is about 1.5 meters long, and finally after a few corners, the last section is led out of the classroom, so that the smoke in the stove can be discharged out of the classroom along its passage, and the heat can be kept in the classroom as much as possible. At that time, until I was in junior high school, all schools in the county were basically heated in this traditional way.

I don't remember anything outside the north gate, it is said that there is a martyr's cemetery far away, so I should have gone to sweep the tomb when I was young, but unfortunately I have no impression.

Speaking of martyrs, the only martyr I remember in Hailun County is General Li Leiyan, because the place where I was born is Lei Yan Street, so I know this person.

At that time, I also found some information to look at his heroic deeds, decades have passed, the memory has been blurred, and today I re-checked it to deepen the memory: born in 1911 in HLJ Helen, after the "9.18" incident, the Japanese invaders rolled up a bloody storm on the black earth. In December 1938, the Third Route Army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Army was established. Li Zhaolin was the commander-in-chief, Feng Zhongyun was the political commissar, and Li Leiyan was the commander of the four detachments of the three armies, leading more than 200 cavalrymen to open up new areas in Hailun, Suileng, and Qing'an. In 1939, a bullet hit Comrade Lei Yan in a breakthrough in Layue, and Comrade Lei Yan died heroically in the Black Nihe River at the age of 28!

In 1988, in order to forever commemorate their heroes, the people of Helen named the most prosperous street in the city - Lei Yan Street (a big word compared to when I was a child)! The park is named Lei Yan Park! In 1986, two years after moving to Daqing, I heard that the county began to build Leiyan Park, and now it seems that it has been built for two years.

There is a nursery far away from the west gate, and there is a forest on that side, which is a paradise for children who like to hunt birds.

But I didn't like killing small animals since I was a child, so I didn't like to go there, and I probably did, but I still don't remember it.

I remember that there are some people who like to catch birds, take all kinds of cages to catch birds in the nursery over there, I remember that there are two main types of bird catching equipment at that time, one is the flip type, mainly wooden, that is, it can only turn down, can not turn back, there is bird food in it, once there are birds greedy, standing on the top of the cage, it will fall in. Another type of buckle net, which is basically iron, is to use a spring to separate the buckle net surrounded by two wires, and put ears of grain at this spring mechanism, once a bird comes to eat, it will touch the spring, and the two separate barbed wire will be buckled together, and the bird can only wait for the bird catcher to catch.

I've occasionally heard people come back and say that they have caught a few yellow birds (people in my hometown have always pronounced this word as Qiao'er, children's pronunciation), a few Su birds, and a few ......

Because I was not interested, I couldn't tell the difference between these birds, so I had to learn new things when I drew birds in the future.

What impressed me a little was that the place near the west gate was a big pit at that time, very long and deep, because there was really no place to play, so we went there to play when we had nothing to do, and I didn't know what there was to play in a deep pit, and I really couldn't remember it at all.

The only thing I remember is that there is a forest far beyond the east side of the train station, and I seem to have played with my friends.

I vaguely remember that I should have brought some food.

There is still that path in the subconscious mind now.

I remember walking a long way along the road that continues east of the train station, then I see a row of trees and turn south, and after walking for a while, there will be a grove on the left side of the road.

The trees in the forest are not stout, not all tall trees, some are very short, but the canopy is large, and it should be a species that does not grow tall. The trees weren't densely planted, it was supposed to be autumn, and the sun could shine through the top of the trees, sprinkling the ground with gold, and I didn't know why I had such a scene in my head, and I was so sure that it was the woods.

At this point, I am sure that I understand Corot's famous painting "Memories of Monte Fontaine" and understand why this portrait of Mozart is lyrical.

If my painting skills can keep up with my brushstrokes, and I don't need to go to the scene, I will definitely draw a different "Memories of Helen and the East Well", which will be a golden color, an illusory figure, a memory that belongs to me alone......

The reason why the name of the painting is called Dongbianjing, because the next station to take the train south from Helen is Dongbianjing Station, the adjacent two stations are not far away, and then it is Suileng, and then I remember Suihua, before arriving in Harbin, I still remember a square platform, and the various small stations during the period are not at all impressed.

This is also because Xiang Nan always remembers these stations by car, and Xiang Bei only remembers Haibei and Bei'an two stations.

Baidu to the Hailun Railway Station, although it has undergone renovation and renovation, but it is not much different from the railway station in the previous memory, but it is new, and the original style should still be the same - vague memory.

In addition to the place where my family lived and my grandmother's compound, the place I remember more deeply is the beet station near the train station.

That's because when I was younger, I was very resistant to going to kindergarten.

There are three reasons for this.

One is that all children must go to bed at noon.

I've always hated this rule.

It may be that the memory of rebellion when I was a child is too deep, and I haven't developed the habit of napping until now.

Another is that there is a small yard on the sunny side of the kindergarten, and there are some toys in it, which are used as a play area. It's a toy, but it's just an old-fashioned slide with a few seesaws and other things that kids disdain today's children.

But for us, that's the only place of happiness.

It's a pity that even this humble play area has been locked and not allowed to play, only when strange adults (who didn't know until many years later that they came to check) came to open the lock and let us play for a while, and the adults left and locked it again, and the adults we were looking forward to never came, which made me very unhappy.

The last and not so important point is that one day the teacher said in front of the whole class that Tian Yu has been very well-behaved recently, and let him be the class leader next time, but I was more well-behaved than usual for many days in a row, and even went to pretend to sleep at noon, and in the end it was another child who became the class leader, and I still remember that the child who became the class leader was nicknamed Little Black (Scorpio's memory is terrible).

This made me realize that it is not counted when adults speak.

I was so angry that I refused to go to kindergarten from then on.

According to my mother, I was lying on the ground rolling and crying and did not enter the kindergarten, and she was so angry that she kicked me in the street when she was late for work.

Later, I couldn't find Aunt Guo to come to see me, and for a long time, I was Guo Zhiyu from Monday to Saturday (Guo Niang's family has four children, two boys are named Guo Zhigang, one is called Guo Zhiqiang, the eldest sister is called Guo Chunyan, and the second sister is called Guo Chunling), and it is Tian Yu on Sunday.

The shattering of the dream of being a kindergarten class leader, which should definitely be regarded as the first important node in my life, made me extremely uninterested in politics from now on!

Parents only know the first two reasons why I don't go to kindergarten! I don't know the reason why it's not very important!

This beet station is Guo Da Guo Niang's work unit.

Sometimes I go there with Guo Da to play.

I remember once hearing Guo Da angrily and say to a person that the ticket for the car just now was invalidated, and he had half a cart of soil under the beets.

At that time, I never understood why I couldn't sell sugar beets when the car was filled with soil, and this question was always in my mind until much later.

Guo Da Guo Niang and the neighbor's Cui Da Cui Niang have left me for a long time, and the title of the official account of the China Eastern Airlines disaster is tearful: China Eastern Airlines disaster, the passengers' "relics" make people break the defense: many people, in fact, have seen the last side of their lives halfway......

May they rest in peace in heaven!

After being circled by the four gates of the south, east, west, and northwest, and then pushed out a little distance to all sides, this space is the paradise where I was happy in my childhood.

The people and events that happened in this space make up my childhood memories of the town.

Today, many of the scenes are still so clear.
