This year, the palace is going to hold a peach festival again, the lotus fairy holds the jade pot, and gives the boiled lotus seed syrup to the Jade Emperor to enjoy, because the palace ground is smooth, the mood is nervous, the foot slips, pours the lotus seed syrup, splashes the dragon robe of the Jade Emperor. The Jade Emperor was furious, punished the lotus fairy, and did not allow her to participate in the reception of various feasts in the future, and degraded her to the fairy palace Lotus Yao to plant lotus flowers, and only allowed her to pick lotus seeds with other fairies during the harvest season.

The Lotus Fairy woman is stubborn and not afraid of power. He thought that the Jade Emperor was really a bit of a fuss about punishing her for such an unintentional small mistake, and he was not convinced.

This year, it was the season when the lotus seeds were ripe, and when the lotus seeds were picked, the lotus fairy remembered the punishment that the Jade Emperor had punished herself, and the more she thought about it, the more angry she became. In a fit of anger, he scattered a batch of lotus seeds he picked on the mortal earth. Since then, there have been lotus roots, lotus flowers, lotus seeds and other things in various parts of the world.

On this day, the lotus fairy and the four golden boys and girls met and rode five divine horses to secretly go down to earth to visit the beautiful scenery of the world. On the way, the lotus fairy warned everyone: "Keep going and don't speak, so as not to alarm the court and provoke punishment." ”

After the lotus fairy and others left the fairy world, they waved the whip, the divine horse soared, stepped on the colorful auspicious clouds, and came to the sky above the current Xinxing County Paradise Town, then pressed the cloud head, looked down on the mortal world, there was a vast sea below, there was a large shoal by the sea, full of boundless green leaves and red flowers, and felt very surprised, so he rode his horse towards this area of Pegasus. When I arrived, it turned out that the lotus pond was blooming with red, purple, and white lotus flowers. At this time, the lotus fairy said to the four golden boys and girls: "The lotus seeds that I scattered to the world in my previous life have blossomed and borne fruit, so let's go and watch them." ”

Out of joy, they had forgotten the warning, and they laughed and shouted. This is terrible, the sound of laughter alarmed the Dharma Protector God in the Heavenly Palace. The great god didn't dare to hide it, so he informed the Jade Emperor.

The Jade Emperor listened to the performance and said angrily: "The Lotus Fairy and others violated the rules of heaven and went down to earth privately, and the Lotus Fairy and the four golden boys and jade girls and the five divine horses are not allowed to return to the heavenly realm in the future." ”

Since then, the lotus fairy, the four golden boys and the five sacred horses have all remained in the world.

At that time, there were no grains in the world, they ate lotus seeds, lotus roots, and wore lotus leaves, lotus, the five gods and horses had to eat grass to satisfy hunger, due to the lack of feed, over the years, more and more thin, until one by one lying on the ground, became five hills, the horse's head was towards the stable, and then people called these five hills "five horses back to the nest (stable)", the two pairs of golden boys and girls, then formed a husband and wife, planted lotus in this area, reproduced offspring, and later generations called this place "lotus pond".

After the golden boy and the girl became husband and wife, the lotus fairy was embarrassed to live with them.

She walked to the top of a high mountain behind the lotus pond, built a shed to live, and still returned to the lotus pond during the day to guide the golden boy and jade girl to farm. The top of this mountain where the lotus fairy lives, the terrain is very much like a dragon chair, and there are often fairies who come here to meet the fairy, and the descendants call this place "the top of the fairy chair".

Although the things in the mythical world are very innocent and magical, and even become more beautiful and mysterious after being processed by later generations, there is a profound basis for life in its production.

Besides, the Sixth Ancestor Huineng Master came to the Heavenly Inner Cave Realm with the Divine Society, but he saw the scene when he helped the Gangxian to relieve the drought in the past: I saw that the red land here was thousands of miles, the fields were cracked, and the seedlings were about to dry up. Groups of people carry buckets of water to the river to carry water to pour crops.

Master Huineng of the Sixth Patriarch was once again moved, and his compassion prompted him to relieve the drought for the people here. So, he walked to the crowd with a bowl in hand, said a blessing, and then said, "The drought is so severe, although you have the perseverance to carry water and pour the crops, it is like a drop of water to water the flames." If you can trust me, how about asking me for rain on your behalf? ”

The people were eager to relieve the drought, so they immediately brought the two Taoists to the Yamen of the Heavenly Metropolitan Division, and asked them to discuss with the Imperial Prefecture about asking for rain.

The next day, the local people according to the guidance of the sixth ancestor Huineng master, in the northwest of the inner cave Qianhai position (behind Liantang Village) on a hilltop to build a soil platform, take its "gold water" meaning, the earth platform is surrounded by flags, and select 28 strong men, holding the flag in all directions, instead of the twenty-eight nights, and then the sixth ancestor Huineng master ascended the altar, burned incense and prayed to the heavens, the mouth recited words.

Knocking on the wooden fish, and holding the clean water in all directions, and then slapping the wood, a moment, the sky was full of dark clouds, lightning and thunder, and then a downpour fell for a day and a night, and the entire land of Xinzhou was completely relieved of the drought.

After the rain, people wanted to thank the Taoist, but there was no trace of the Taoist. I saw that around the earthen platform, there were some spiritual talismans of Longshan Guoen Temple pasted on the flags, so people speculated that this Taoist who climbed the altar to burn incense and pray for rain in the sky was the sixth ancestor Huineng master. Since then, the people of Neidong have worshiped the six ancestors even more.

After Master Huineng passed away in Longshan Guoen Temple, the people of Neidong initiated the creation of the golden body of the six ancestors. Therefore, a skilled craftsman was invited to sculpt a golden statue of the six ancestors, and someone proposed to build a temple of the six ancestors in the center of the inner cave to set up an altar to worship. However, most people think that it is better to set up altars in turn according to the inner cave villages, and to feel closer to the six ancestors in this way. In the future, every time it is the turn of which village to worship, the people of the village are like doing happy events, after the whole village men, women and children bathe and fast, beat gongs and drums to pick up the golden statues of the six ancestors, and then every household reports the number of tributes and fasts according to their own economic ability. Since then, every time there is a drought, people carry the golden bodies of the six ancestors to the earthen platform on the top of the original mountain to ask for rain. The people of Liantang in this place called it "asking for the top of the rain", and it has been passed down to the present (this is a later story).
