Ladies and gentlemen: Today, Lao Ne would like to talk to you about the sutra that has the greatest relationship with Buddhism in whole and especially the culture of China, which has the deepest influence and the longest history, called the Vimala Sutra.

The spirit represented by the Vimala Sutra is the method of liberation and Buddhahood of the Dharma in the world, without departing from the worldly position, and it also points out how the Buddhas of the Ten Directions and the Three Worlds attained the Tao, how to attain liberation, and how to attain the path of Bodhi.

Most people think that Chinese Zen Buddhism was spread after the arrival of the Bodhidharma Patriarch, but they don't know that before the Bodhidharma Patriarch, the Vimala Sutra and the Lotus Sutra were the most influential.

The weight of this sutra is so heavy, but because the text is easy to understand and fluent and beautiful, people can easily read it and think that they have understood it, but in fact it is very difficult to understand. This time, Lao Ne connected the Vimala Sutra and the Medicine Teacher Sutra because they are a system.

Why is it a system?

We generally know that the Buddha introduced Amitabha Buddha to us in the Western Elysium for the convenience of our sentient beings who do not have enough wisdom and merit in the last days to practice the method of rebirth. However, the true immediate achievement of Buddhism, the great cause and path of Buddhahood, is represented in the two Buddha countries in the Eastern world represented by the Medicine Sutra and the Vimala Sutra. One is the kingdom of the Buddha, which is the incarnation of the Vimal monks into the Oriental Wonderful Joy Immovable World attached to the Buddha at home.

This eastern Buddha country is connected with another eastern Buddha country, the Medicine Buddha Glazed Light Buddha Land. The Eastern World and the Western Amitabha Buddha's Elysium are reflected in each other, like day and night in a solar system.

When the sun goes down in the west, it reaches the Western Elysium; When the sun came out to give birth to life, it went to the land of the Buddha in the East and the land of the Buddha in the Glass Light in the East. This is one of the great secrets of the Dharma, the true Tantra.

So when you really understand the Dharma, you know that what is clearly told to you in all the sutras of the teachings, if you don't understand it, you become a great tantra.

On the contrary, all the methods of tantric practice are very teachable, because if you can study the tantric meaning in depth, you will understand it, and you will be able to understand it.

The teachings tell you the true mysteries of the Dharma, and you can't understand it unless you have attained merit and great wisdom.

Therefore, the cause of this lecture is to tell you the great secret of the true instant birth and the Dharma, so that you can practice and study well, and don't think that meditation is to learn Buddhism and Zen.

Ajin Buddha is the Buddha of the Oriental Miaoxi Rulai Immovable Land, that is, one of the sixteen Buddhas of the Chase Zhisheng Buddha introduced to the Lotus Sutra when Lao Na wanted to preach the "Medicine Teacher Sutra", and even Amitabha Buddha is also the son of the Datong Zhisheng Buddha.

Further down in the Vimala Sutra, it is mentioned that if we want to become a Buddha in life and death beyond the Three Realms, we must deeply witness the method of immortality taught by the Medicine King Nyorai, which is neither born nor destroyed.

For thousands of years, no one has regarded the Medicine Sutra, the Vimala Sutra, and the Lotus Sutra in Buddhism as secret methods, and only recited them as sutras for teaching.

The most important point in the Vimala Sutra is to tell us that the Dharma is in this world, and we are at ease in our body and mind. If you ask other worlds to depend on others, think about life and death, and think about becoming a Buddha, it is impossible.

This is because external forces are only convenient methods, not ultimate methods. Therefore, the Dharma must be self-controlled.

Wisdom is born in consciousness, and consciousness is born in freedom, and life is born without life

Like these Buddhist literatures, the spirit of Zen, the sources of spiritual wisdom, are closely related to the Vimala Sutra.
