Chapter 033: You're Extraordinary

Therefore, we must spare no expense to keep ourselves in an atmosphere and environment that is likely to stimulate our inner potential at all times. The power in our heart is like a rushing waterfall, that monstrous waves, we need to find and use them, otherwise, it will be meaningless.

Just like the transcendent people among the ordinary people I talked about before, such as a person who lost his hearing and became a generation of happy saints, how powerful is the great power in the heart of this great man, and how touching is the twists and turns of the story? It is precisely his positive and optimistic attitude to face the miserable life, forcing himself to achieve the great goal in his heart, and perseverance, he finally became the top person who has influenced dozens of generations.

People often set limits on themselves, they think they are ordinary, they think they are not a person who does big things, and it is precisely because of this negative thinking that they will be unknown until they die of old age, becoming an inconspicuous passerby. They don't understand that, in fact, they can save the world and benefit all living beings, all they need is to believe in themselves.

Now, according to our own situation, we will not discuss the great works on management, investment, and marketing, but we will now briefly talk about the thoughts, the first great book "The Analects".

The way of life in the "Analects" is, first, uprightness. Second, pay attention to benevolence. Third, attach importance to the all-round development of self-cultivation.

Personality building - one, a gentleman is not a weapon. Second, a gentleman should attach importance to self-cultivation. Third, a gentleman should be strict with himself everywhere. Fourth, a gentleman should emphasize righteousness and avoid profit, and pursue morality.

We just need to know this huge book. Because what we are going to learn next is the great work "Caigen Tan", which integrates the ideas of Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism, and this title contains two meanings. First, bite the roots. Pepsi to do. Second, the purpose of cultivating the character of transcendence and poverty through experience and poverty is cultivated, and in addition to gaining insight into the world, it enlightens countless people in the world.

Before we get into this, you have to understand that this is another era with a different cultural background, and the views and sayings of these great men have both similarities and differences with those of the previous masters. Rest assured, I'll explain them to you one by one.

The human affection is repeated, and the road is rugged. If you can't go anywhere, you must know the way to take a step back, and if you can go anywhere, you must give up three points of work.

At some point in the country where I lived before, it was an idealist philosophical view called the mean, which refers to impartiality. Dealing with the world with a compromise attitude is about the relationship between three objects, heaven, earth, and man.

The warmth and coldness of the human world are changeable, and the road of life is bumpy. Therefore, when you encounter difficulties and cannot get through, you must understand the way of taking a step back, and when your career is smooth sailing, you must have the mind and virtue of humility and conceiving people.

There are many versions here. Let's follow this version.

Sentence 001: "Abide by morality, not a powerful person." "Full text - the one who dwells on morality. Lonely for a while, the powerful are desolate for eternity. Masters see things outside of things. Think about the body behind you, keep the loneliness of the moment, and don't take the desolation of eternity.

This refers to the fact that a person who adheres to moral norms sometimes suffers a brief period of neglect, but those who cling to power will suffer permanent desolation. An open-minded and intelligent person can value spiritual values other than material things, and can take into account the issue of reputation after death. So they would rather suffer a moment of neglect than eternal desolation.

Sentence 002: "Embrace simplicity and clumsiness, the way of the world." "The full text - shallow in the world, shallow in the dots, deep in history, deep in machinery. Therefore, a gentleman is not as simple as he is virtuous, and he is not as arrogant as he is cautious.

Although a young man who has just stepped into the world has a very short experience, he is less affected by all kinds of bad habits of society, and a person who has experienced a lot of accidents has a wide range of bad habits. Therefore, a cultivated gentleman, instead of paying attention to the tactfulness of doing things, should maintain a simple personality; instead of being cautious and cautious in everything, it is better to be open-minded so as not to lose his innocent nature.

Sentence 003: "The heart is clear, and the talent must be clear." "The full text - the heart of a gentleman, the sky is blue and the sun is white, do not let people know, the talent of a gentleman, the jade Yun pearl is hidden, not easy to know.

A gentleman with profound cultivation has a heart as bright as the blue sky and the white sun, and there is nothing unspeakable; a gentleman with profound cultivation treasures his talents and learning like pearls and jade, and he is absolutely not easy for people to know.

Sentence 004: "Out of the sludge without staining, clever and not used." "Full text - the power is diverse, those who are not close are clean, those who are close and not stained are especially clean; wisdom and ingenuity, those who do not know are high, and those who know but do not use are especially high.

Power and wealth are innocent to those who do not approach them, and those who are close to them are more innocent;

Sentence 005: "Mingzhi, Fat and Sweet Funeral Festival." "The full text - those who have amaranth and sausages, are more icy and jade-clean, and those who are clothed and jade-eater, and are willing to be servile on their knees. Gai Zhi is to be bright, and the festival is from the fat and the funeral.

Most of those who can tolerate eating coarse tea and light rice are as clear as ice and as white as pure jade, while most of those who are willing to wear beautiful clothes and eat delicacies from the mountains and seas are willing to make a subservient face. Because a person's ambition can only be expressed in a state of pure heart and few desires, and a person's temperament is lost in the greed for material pleasures.

......

Sentence 028: "Arrogance is useless, repent and extinguish sins." "The full text -- the merit of the world should not be a word, and the sin of heaven should not be a word of repentance.

Even if one has the greatest feats in the world, one cannot bear the countervailing effect of an arrogant and reserved word "矜"; even if one commits a heinous crime, as long as one can make a remorseful word of "repentance," he will be able to redeem his previous mistakes.

Verse 029: "Purity is born from impurity, and light comes out of darkness." "Full text - dung insects to filth, turn into cicadas and drink in the autumn wind, rotten grass without light, turn into fireflies and leap in the summer moon. Because the knowledge of purity is often self-defiled, and every light is born from obscurity.

The insects that grow in the dung are the dirtiest, but once they turn into cicadas they drink only the clean dew of autumn, and the rotten wild herbs do not shine, but once they are bred into fireflies, they can shine brightly in the summer night sky. From this we know that what is clean often arises from filth, and what is bright often appears in darkness.

Sentence 039: "No fault is merit, and no complaint is virtue." Full text - There is no need to invite merit in life, no fault is merit;

In fact, as long as there is no fault, the rescuer does not have to hope that the other party will be grateful for the retribution, as long as the other party does not resent him, he will be grateful for the reward.

Sentence 048: "The demon is subdued first, and the master is calmed first." "Full text - the demon subduer first descends to his heart, and the heart is subdued and the demons retreat to listen;

If you want to subdue the evil, you must first subdue the evil in your heart, and after the evil in your heart is subdued, all other evils will naturally not work. If you want to control unreasonable transgressive events, you must first control your own emotions that are easy to float, so that all external transgressive things will naturally not invade.

Sentence 056: "Do not fall into the rich, do not fall into the silence." "Full text - those who have strong thoughts will treat others well, and they will be thick everywhere; those who have weak thoughts will treat themselves and others thinly, and everything will be light. Therefore, the gentleman often has a hobby, not too colorful, nor too boring.

An open-minded person not only demands abundance in his own life, but also pays attention to abundance in his treatment of others, so he pays attention to elegance and luxury in everything. A person who is indifferent not only lives a hard life, but also treats others lightly, so he is indifferent and ruthless in everything. Therefore, a truly cultivated person, his daily hobbies are neither too extravagant nor too mean and stingy.

Sentence 068: "The good are angry, and the wicked are murderous." "Full text - no matter how peaceful the role of the auspicious person is, that is, the dream of the soul is nothing more than harmony, no matter how the murderer acts, that is, the voice and words are murderous.

A kind-hearted person is extremely calm and serene in his words and deeds, and even his sleeping expression is filled with a harmonious atmosphere, while a person with a fierce temperament is cruel and vicious in everything he does, and even in his conversation and laughter, he is full of terrifying murderous aura.

Sentence 079: "Don't envy the noble, don't worry about hunger." "Full text - people are happy to know their position, and they don't know that the joy of being nameless and placeless is the true; people are worried about hunger and cold, and they don't know that they are not hungry and cold.

Most people only know that fame and official position are the great joys of life, but they don't know that no fame and no official position are the real joys of life. Most people only know that hunger and cold are the most painful things, but they don't know that those dignitaries who don't worry about food and clothing are the most painful mental torture for their gains and losses.

Sentence 085: "Virtue carries things, elegance and tolerance." "Full text - The filthy of the earth is full of living things, and the clear of the water is often without fish; therefore, a gentleman should have a quantity of dirt and filth, and should not keep a clean and solitary practice.

A filthy and filthy land is a good place to grow plants, and a clear river is often devoid of fish and shrimp. Therefore, a gentleman with profound cultivation should have the bearing of accepting vulgarity and the grace of forgiving others, and must not be pretentious and high-minded, and fall into a state of loneliness without associating with anyone.

Sentence 089: "One thought of selfishness and greed will never recover." "As soon as people think of selfishness, they will turn rigidity into softness, wisdom into darkness, grace into misery, and cleanliness into filth, and ruin the character of a lifetime. Therefore, the ancients thought that they were not greedy, so they spent a lifetime.

As long as a person has a little greed or partiality in his heart, his originally upright character will become cowardly, his originally intelligent mind will be blinded to mediocrity, his original compassionate heart will become very cruel, and his originally pure personality will become very dirty, and the result will be tantamount to ruining his moral character for a lifetime. Therefore, the ancient sages unanimously believed that to be a man, we must take "not greedy" as the treasure of self-cultivation, so that we can live a life beyond material desires.
