Chapter 16: The Ancestral Train

September 1, King's Cross Station, London, England.

Harley Potter, who was wearing a new white dress, looked down at the ticket in her hand:

"London to Hogwarts, one-way ticket."

"Platform nine and three-quarters."

She looked up at the sign on the pillar, there was platform 9, there was platform 10, but there was no platform nine and three-quarters.

Harley's big eyes were full of confusion, and she looked up at her aunt Penny, and found that her expression was even more confused than her own.

Of course, Hallie has been to Diagon Alley, but Aunt Petunia is different, she doesn't know anything about the wizarding world. Moreover, the Dursleys had always been very reluctant to magic, and if it weren't for the fact that Harley was not worried about letting her come to the station alone, Aunt Petunia would not have come here at all.

Penny looked left and right, and couldn't help but whisper:

"Are you sure it's here?"

"That's what it says on the ticket."

Hallie whispered, "Hagrid must have forgotten to tell me something I had to do, like knocking on the third brick on the left to get into Diagon Alley, maybe I should hit the wall with my wand?" But I don't know which brick it is......"

Penny imagined it for a moment, and said with an unnatural expression:

"That looks a little silly."

Hallie blushed slightly, she felt the same way.

"Hallie."

At this moment, Harley's voice suddenly became familiar.

She turned her head and was somewhat surprised to see Ash standing not far away, with the same gentle smile on her face as usual.

He was accompanied by a chubby woman and four red-haired boys.

"Ash." Harley smiled happily and waved at Ash.

There was a hint of doubt in Penny's eyes:

"You know him?"

Hallie whispered:

"His name is Ash Black, and he's a new Hogwarts student."

She added:

"He's my friend."

"That's right."

Realizing that Ai Xu Neng was a future wizard, Penny suddenly felt a strong discomfort, and asked in a trembling voice:

"Hallie, can you do it alone?"

Harley smiled sweetly:

"No problem, aunt."

"I'm sorry." Penny whispered as she turned away from the platform, covering her mouth and running in the direction of the bathroom.

She hated magic, even if she had longed for it.

Ash walked up to Hallie, looked at Penny in the distance, and asked politely:

"Is that your relative?"

"It's my aunt." Hallie explained: "She's not feeling well. ”

As she spoke, she saw a few people behind Ash and whispered in Ash's ear:

"Is that your mother, lady?"

Ash smiled and introduced:

"This is Mrs. Weasley and her children, and I've been staying at the Weasley house this summer."

"Huh?" Hallie was a little puzzled, why did she borrow someone else's house for the summer?

Before she could think about it, Mrs. Weasley approached them, with a kind smile:

"Ash, is this your friend?"

"Yes, Mrs. Weasley."

Ash nodded lightly and briefly introduced:

"This is Hallie, a new Hogwarts student like me."

He didn't introduce his last name, which lightened Harley's mood.

The little girl said with some restraint:

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Weasley."

"Don't be nervous, dear."

Mrs. Weasley smiled kindly back, then looked at her children, and said:

"Alright, boys, it's time for you to go."

"Percy, you go first and show Ron."

"I know how to get there." Ron muttered, "I'm not a Muggle, you should tell them!" ”

Harley thought he was talking about herself, and she really didn't know how to go about it.

Hallie looked at Percy with some curiosity, wondering how they got to Platform Nine and Three-Quarters.

Then she saw Percy trotting toward the pillar in the middle of platforms 9 and 10, pushing a cart full of salutes.

Just when she thought Percy was going to crash into the wall, he went straight through it and disappeared into the pillar like that!

Then the second, then the third, Fred and George also pushed the cart towards the pillar.

The pillars were intact, but the people disappeared into thin air......

"Ron." Mrs. Weasley shouted.

"I know how to go!"

Ron muttered quietly and dashed towards the pillar, disappearing.

"Follow me, Hallie." Ash whispered in the girl's ear, and rushed to the pillar as well.

With the demonstration of the first five, Harley was no longer nervous at this time, and rushed to the pillar after Ash.

Harley felt like she had been in a tunnel, and when she stepped out, her vision suddenly brightened.

A bright red steam locomotive is parked on a crowded platform, with a sign in the middle of the locomotive that reads 'Hogwarts Express 5972'.

Hallie looked at everything in front of her, her eyes full of wonder and excitement.

The white mist of the steam locomotives, the wizards laughing loudly on the platform, the cats of all colors playing with each other on the platform, or squatting beside their masters, and the owls screaming one after another, everything around her was so new to Harley.

Until she saw Ash's expression and didn't seem very happy.

"Is something wrong?" Harley asked with concern.

"No, I'm just thinking about something."

Ash sighed, a hundred, a whole hundred!

In the past hundred years, the Ministry of Magic has not even been willing to change the color of the train!

He really, I cried to death.

Harley didn't know why, but she didn't rush to ask, just obediently followed Ash to the train and found a box with no one in the room.

"Thank you." Hallie blushed slightly and said to Ash who helped her put her suitcase on the luggage rack.

Ash smiled back with a gentle smile, a boy needs to know how to use her strengths at all times.

Hallie got up and closed the box door, sat down next to Ash, and asked softly:

"Ash, why did you just sigh? Is there something bothering you? ”

"Well, it's not a bother."

Ash explained, asking:

"Do you know how long this railway has been running? You can guess. ”

"Fifty years?"

Harley tilted her little head, her long brown hair falling down her cheeks, and she looked very cute.

Ash shook his head and corrected:

"It's a full hundred and sixty-one years!"

"In 1829, the then Minister for Magic, Ottalien Gamble, first decided to use the Hogwarts Express as a means of transportation for young wizards to and from Hogwarts, a massive project that took a year and involved 167 Oblivion Charms and the largest Hidden Charm ever seen in Britain, and finally opened in 1830 and ran for more than 160 years!"

So, you know what that means? Halle. ”

Hallie didn't answer, she just opened her mouth wide in surprise, but the girl already had the answer in her heart - one hundred and sixty years of use history means that this train definitely has a great safety hazard, maybe it will suddenly roll over or even disintegrate directly in the process of driving!

At this moment, for the first time, Hallie began to wonder if she had made the right decision to go to Hogwarts, as the school didn't seem as reliable in some parts as she thought......
