Chapter 32: A Bloody Lesson
"Separate opinions, right?"
Ash saw the teasing in the eyes of the older cat lady and complained.
In terms of the date of birth, he could not only be Professor McGonagall's senior, but also her grandfather.
But could he still get Professor McGonagall to call him Grandpa?
It's definitely not going to work.
Of course, it would be nice to change Professor McGonagall to Hallie, grandpa to dad, and dorm room......
"Just a joke."
Professor McGonagall quickly changed her tone and continued:
"Professor Weasley once said that the biggest regret of her life was not being able to teach you the full Transfiguration. So, as Professor Weasley's last student, I will be responsible for carrying on Professor Weasley's legacy and teaching you to be a qualified Animagus. ”
"You are free to take the Transfiguration class at any time you choose, and you can always ask me questions you don't understand until you graduate."
Professor McGonagall was tactful, but Ash understood - if he couldn't become an Animagus in seven years, he didn't have the talent to waste his time.
"Thank you, Professor McGonagall." Ash said sincerely.
Professor McGonagall's heart is good, though he doesn't need to.
Professor McGonagall smiled kindly and pointed in the direction of the door:
"Mr. Black, you can leave first."
"Whether it's taking a transfiguration class or leaving on my own, I won't object to that."
That's what you say, but what else is there to say?

In the Transfiguration classroom, the door to the office on the right side of the lectern was suddenly opened.
This made the classroom, which was still chattering, immediately silent, and all the new students were sitting in danger waiting for the arrival of the teacher.
However, it wasn't Professor McGonagall who came out of the office, but a boy who looked about their age and a cat.
"Ash!"
Harley waved excitedly at Ash, not caring about the strange stares of the people around her.
Hermione was also a little surprised, she moved to the right, and there was no one next to her.
The tabby cat jumped on the podium and watched the students silently.
Ash sat down next to Hermione, and Harley immediately smiled happily:
"Ash, Kassandra just told me you weren't coming, she's lying to me!"
"I didn't!"
Kassandra retorted loudly.
Hallie asked, "But Ash is here, isn't he?" ”
"How do I know?"
Kassandra muttered, "Ravenclaw students just shouldn't be here." ”
Ash smiled softly and whispered:
"I was supposed to go to Charms class, but I wanted to take it with you guys, so I came."
Hermione was a little worried, "But would this be against the school rules?" ”
"Just kidding."
Ash rubbed Hermione's thick brown hair and said with a smile:
"Actually, Professor McGonagall asked me for something, which is why I'm here."
Harley was about to ask curiously what was going on, but Ash made a silent gesture to her.
Hallie covered her mouth and looked in the direction of the office, so Professor McGonagall was in that room?
There was silence in the classroom, and it was clear that most of the students were aware of this.
They began to pretend to be serious and lowered their heads to read, until behind them they heard the sound of the door being pushed open.
Click!
Ron and Neville crept into the classroom, relieved to find only one cat on the podium.
Then, then they knew what Animagus was and what happiness and sorrow were.
"Gryffindor deducts ten."
Professor McGonagall, who had turned from a cat back to a human, said sternly:
"Transfiguration is the most complex and dangerous spell you've ever used in Hogwarts classes, and anyone who wants to be mischievous in my class will be asked to go out and never let him in again, I warned you."
"Now, get back to your seats and start class."
"Is it really that dangerous?" Hermione asked in a nervous whisper.
"Yes."
Ash looked straight and admonished solemnly:
"You know, a wizard learns at least a hundred spells in his lifetime, and almost all of them are integrated into the Charms class. Transfiguration alone can hold up a metamorphosis alone, and that says a lot about it. ”
"It's not just because of the complexity of Transfiguration, it's also because of the dangers of Transfiguration. Transfiguration can easily kill people if used incorrectly, and I've got at least hundreds of examples here, so don't just use Transfiguration on other people! ”
Hermione nodded obediently, and Harley silently said Ash's words to heart.
Professor McGonagall heard the whispers of a few people, as they were sitting in the first row, and it was hard to hear them.
But Professor McGonagall didn't care, as they were talking about Transfiguration, and it was in line with her thinking - she would never use Transfiguration on her students! And if it weren't for the last resort, she wouldn't have used Transfiguration on anyone else lightly.
"It's just...... Where did he get hundreds of examples? ”
Professor McGonagall was a little concerned about this, after all, Transfiguration was dangerous, but most wizards knew that they would not use Transfiguration on other people, and even if they used it, they would be successful most of the time, so accidents like this were rare.
In the past few decades, there have been fewer than a dozen related accidents – in this case, cases that resulted in injury or death.
So Professor McGonagall really couldn't figure out where Ash got the hundreds of fatal accidents.
According to her understanding, the Transfiguration accident rate a hundred years ago should be about the same as it is now.
But it soon dawned on her that Ash was just trying to scare Hermione, which was the same reason that many wizards would trick children by saying that if you don't sleep at night, you'll be captured by a troll.
Professor McGonagall figured this out and stopped thinking about it, instead raising her hand and pointing her wand at the lectern:
“Vera Verto!”
The light at the tip of the wand flashed, and the lectern was instantly transformed into a living pig. It was still a desk just now, but now it is like a real pig, cooing and screaming because of fright, and rushing to the classroom door.
And Hallie and Kassandra, who are sitting in the middle of the front row, are exactly the targets of the pig charge!
Harrie and Kassandra's faces turned pale, and they tried to dodge, but their bodies didn't listen.
Professor McGonagall didn't stop it in the first place, she just wanted the students to understand why Transfiguration was dangerous.
In fact, the pig was actually under her control all along, and it wouldn't really be installed.
And just as Professor McGonagall was about to undo the Transfiguration, Ash had already drawn her wand and aimed it at the pig:
“Vera Verto!”
The originally angry pig slammed back on the table.
Professor McGonagall put away her wand and gave her an approving look.
Sure enough, as Professor Weasley said, Ash did have an extraordinary talent for transfiguration.
She had read Principal Black's diary, but she wasn't prejudiced against Ash because of it. After all, it was all Blake's own selfishness, and Ash was just an innocent victim.
Hermione raised her hand with some curiosity and asked:
"Professor, are we going to turn the table into pigs too?"
"Nope."
Professor McGonagall raised her wand and waved it lightly, sending matches to the freshmen, and she said:
"You need to turn this match into a needle."
