Chapter 39: The One-Eyed Witch's Secret Passage

Late at night, Ravenclawa.

Ash opened her eyes from her bed, put on her robe, and left the room and entered the common room.

Even Ravenclaw students wouldn't have studied so late, so Ash's departure didn't go unnoticed by anyone. Coupled with the fact that tomorrow is the weekend, unless Ash doesn't show up all day tomorrow, his 'disappearance' will hardly arouse anyone's suspicion.

The reason for this is that the living may not be able to find out that he is 'missing', but the dead can, and Hogwarts is full of dead people.

Smack!

Ascending the marble staircase, Ash made her way to the hallway on the third floor.

In the hallway is a hunchbacked, one-eyed witch statue that looks no different from the other statues in the castle.

But in fact, there is a secret passage hidden behind the statue that leads to the cellar of the Duke of Honey's confectionery shop in Hogsmeade. And if Ash wants to leave Hogwarts 'unknowingly, he also needs to go through such a secret passage.

Of course, there is much more to Hogwarts than that, but only this one is easy and fast enough to get to Hogsmeade.

"Meow~!"

Ash was about to recite a spell to open the secret passage when he suddenly heard a cat meow.

He came back to his senses and saw a Norwegian forest cat with a dull gray coat crouching on the ground, staring at him with bulging eyes like light bulbs. It was Filch's cat, Lady Loris.

Although Lady Loris is just an ordinary cat, she is actually extremely human, often patrolling the corridors alone. Whenever it found a student who was in violation, it would rush to find Filch.

In less than two minutes, Filch would be running over with a snort and a wheezing voice.

Therefore, when the average student sees Mrs. Loris and happens to violate the law, it is best to run away!

However, when Lady Loris spotted Ash, she did not rush to tell the whistle, and Ash did not turn away, but took out her wand.

As a cat who understands magic, Lady Loris certainly knows the dangers of these wands. But even so, it didn't move, just crouched there and looked at Ash curiously, seemingly not worried that he would hurt itself.

And that's exactly what happened.

Ash simply took out his wand and waved it lightly, and a gray brush appeared out of thin air on top of Lady Loris's head, gently grooming it.

"Meow~purr~!"

Lady Loris rubbed her body against the brush and snorted happily.

"Come here, little one!"

Ash smiled and beckoned to Lady Loris.

Lady Loris trotted over to Ash and circled around him as if flatteringly.

Ash squatted down and reached out to stroke Lady Loris's silky hair.

"Meow~" Mrs. Loriss snorted happily, and even simply lay at his feet and turned her belly up, so as to better accept the caresses.

The portraits hanging in the corridor looked very surprised when they saw this scene, this was the first time they had seen a freshman and Lady Loris so happily together.

Ash gently scratched Lady Loris's belly and said softly:

"I'm sorry, I still have some things to take care of, how about playing with you tomorrow? Also, don't tell Filch about me, okay? ”

"Meow~"

Lady Lorisy stood sensibly and rubbed the back of Ash's hand with her cheek.

"Hey, Ash! How did you end up here? ”

Just then, Ash suddenly heard someone shout in a low voice.

Ash turned around in surprise to see a pair of fiery red-haired twins walking towards him from the other side of the hallway.

"Meow!"

Lady Loris's fur exploded at once, and she hunched her back as if she were facing a great enemy, and snorted at the twins.

And when it spotted the twins coming this way, it didn't hesitate to turn and run, disappearing around the corner with a few jumps.

One of the twins cursed:

"Damn! It's Lady Loris! ”

"We've got to get out of here, Filch will be chasing after us soon!"

They rushed to Ash's side in a hurry, Ash looked slightly moved, stretched out his wand and gently tapped the statue in front of him, and whispered:

"Dissendium!"

Bang!

Suddenly, the statue's hunchback opened, revealing a stone spiral slide that led to the depths.

At this time, from the direction the twins came, there were already flickering lights and shadows around the corner at the end of the hallway.

The twins looked happy and exclaimed:

"Well done!"

Another urged:

"There's no time to explain, Ash, get in!"

Ash wasted no time and took the lead in sliding down the slide into the depths of the secret passage.

The twins were obviously extremely skilled at this, and they got into it one after the other, and finally they didn't even forget to close the secret passage.

Syllable!

Filch crossed the corner, looked at the empty hallway in front of him, and frowned deeply.

"Meow!"

Lady Loris sprang out of nowhere, crouching gracefully beside Filch.

Filch's sharp eyes softened, and he asked in a gentle voice:

"Hey, baby, did you see any offending students? Tell me where they are? ”

"Meow~"

Lady Loris screamed, but did not give any response, just crouched there, bowed her head and licked her hair.

"Ahh

Filch frowned, sneezed suddenly, and rubbed his somewhat reddened nose.

-----------------

In the secret passage, Fred exclaimed:

"Cool! Ash, how did you find out about here? ”

"Found in ancestral relics."

Ash replied, puzzled, "How did you find out?" ”

"So do we."

George's eyebrows fluttered and said:

"We looked through the diary of our great-great-grandfather, Gareth Weasley, who recorded the secret passage behind the hunchbacked one-eyed witch."

Fred proudly added:

"We discovered this secret passage when we were in second grade!"

George said suddenly:

"But Ash is only in the first grade this year."

“……”

The two of them fell silent for a moment, their expressions extremely tangled.

It seems that being outdone in this regard is a very difficult thing for them to accept.

"Where are you going?"

The three of them made their way down the passage, and Ash asked, confused.

George and Fred looked at each other and said in unison:

"Hogsmeade! We're going to three broomsticks! ”

Ash asked, somewhat amusedly:

"But I remember you're in the third grade, and you can wait until tomorrow to go out in the open, right?"

Fred didn't hesitate to say:

"That would be so boring!"

George solemnly admonished:

"Ash, you have to remember. If the way to leave Hogwarts isn't to sneak out, there's no point! ”

Fred asked curiously:

"What are you out for?"

Ash said half-truthfully:

"Go buy some gifts, I'm going to give them to Harry."

"Cool!"

George and Fred looked at each other and exclaimed in unison.

George teased:

"But if Percy has the power of action like yours, he won't be single all the time. Do you know? Percy has always had a crush on your Ravenclaw girl, Fred, what's her name? ”

"Penelo Crivat, the prefect of the fifth grade."

The two brothers squeezed their eyebrows, sang and harmonized, and betrayed their brother mercilessly.

"How do you know?" Ash had a strange expression.

George teased:

"He himself mentioned in his diary: 'She rejected me because I wasn't a prefect, so when I became a Gryffindor prefect, I had to confess to her again.'"

Ash shrugged his shoulders and said:

"Then he'll only be rejected one more time."

"That's what we think too." George and Fred grinned.
