Chapter 40: Trolls and Werewolves

Hogsmeade.

George pushed open the trapdoor under Duke Honey's cellar and looked around before beckoning Ash and Fred to come up with him. They walked down the stairs to the store, through the cabinets full of sweets, and cautiously left.

"Don't worry."

George winked at Ash and said confidently:

"Mr. Frum, the owner of the Duke of Honey, goes to bed at ten o'clock every night and wakes up at seven o'clock in the morning, during which time there is very little movement to wake him up, so that you will not be noticed by anyone as long as you return here before seven o'clock tomorrow."

"But it doesn't matter if you miss seven, you can sneak into the cellar while he's not looking. Trust me, it won't be hard. ”

"I think so."

Ash nodded, digressed the subject and asked:

"Aren't you going to get three broomsticks?"

"Yes!"

George and Fred looked at each other and said in unison:

"But that's just the beginning! We don't want to be there all day! ”

George said solemnly: "It's a complete waste of time. ”

Fred said proudly, "So we're going to the Forbidden Forest!" ”

Ash raised his eyebrows slightly and said:

"I remember Dumbledore saying that no student was allowed to enter the Forbidden Forest."

George said calmly:

"It's okay, as long as you don't get discovered."

Fred added:

"Hagrid has spotted us a few times, but he's never caught us and won't snitch, so don't worry."

"Good luck then."

Ash listened to the two show off, smiled goodbye to them, and watched them go to the Three Broomsticks Bar.

A hundred years later, although the architectural style of Hogsmeade in general has barely changed, it has become much larger, after all, some wizards have chosen to settle here for more than a hundred years.

But fortunately, the geographical location of this place has not changed, and it is still on the east side of the Forbidden Forest.

This allowed Ash to find the path from Hogsmeade to the Forbidden Forest with great clarity - even though a hundred years had passed, the path still existed, and had even been widened considerably, thanks to the wizards of Hogsmeade, of course.

After all, the Forbidden Forest is only for students, and the wizards of Hogsmeade are not banned from entering. Even many of them regularly travel to the Forbidden Forest to find them, collect their hair and blood, concoct new potions, and even cast certain spells.

Of course, these wizards also know what sustainable development is, so few people will try to harm the magical beasts in the Forbidden Forest, and even take the responsibility of protecting these magical beasts on the periphery of the Forbidden Forest, which can be regarded as a tacit understanding between the two parties.

And one of the reasons why Ash came to the Forbidden Forest was to find a magical animal called 'Sniff' and 'protect' them, just like he had done for a hundred years-

Magical animals rescued from dark wizards who tried to poach in the Forbidden Forest are protected in the Room of Requirement. There these magical creatures can obtain an absolutely complete environment without worrying about the threat of poachers.

As a result, Ash can harvest a lot of materials from these magical beasts every day, which can be regarded as mutually beneficial. But Dick left Hogwarts with the magical creatures, and Ash had to come to the Forbidden Forest himself if he wanted to find a sniffer.

However, there is a new problem, and that is that Sniff's nest is deep in the Forbidden Forest, and if you go there, you will inevitably meet other natives of the forest, such as ......

"Roar!"

A troll, all green and nearly four meters tall, suddenly burst out of the forest, roaring and raising a thick wooden stick and rushing towards Ash.

Trolls are brutal and powerful creatures by nature, but if they are hit by its stick, ordinary wizards will be smashed into pulp, and even a half-giant like Hagrid will be deeply damaged, and even their internal organs will be shattered.

Unfortunately, before the troll could attack, a silver-white wand had already aimed its hand at it:

"Diffindo!"

With a sharp cracking sound that almost pierced the eardrum, an invisible blade of wind stabbed into the troll's body.

Click!

The surrounding trees were cut off and fell with an overwhelming creak.

And the troll, under such an attack, only paused slightly.

The troll's abdomen was cut open with a bloody scar by the Wind Blade, but it still roared and charged at Ash as if it didn't feel pain.

This is one of the reasons why trolls, although brainless, are still extremely dangerous, and their magic resistance is almost second only to that of dragons!

Clever wizards don't try to fight trolls with spells alone, because the trolls' high magic resistance and thick skin allow them to rush in front of the wizard with several spells and knock the wizard into sauce with a mallet.

Sorcerers usually turn the ground beneath the trolls into muddy swamps for them to sink into, and then use various spells to slowly deal with the trolls.

Ash, on the other hand, prefers to be more direct.

So—

“Diffindo!”

Another blade of wind formed in the air, and in the sharp sound of breaking the air, it hit the bloody scar on the troll's abdomen with precision!

Bang!

The troll's legs roared and rushed to Ash as it raised its rod to smash the humans in front of it.

However, when it tried to swing the mallet in its hand, it heard only a loud bang.

Bang!

The troll's upper body slammed to the ground, and a large amount of blood poured out of the smooth incision, blurring its vision.

Before it lost consciousness completely, it seemed to hear another spell:

“Diffindo!”

Burst!

The Wind Blade sliced the troll's head neatly, sending blood pouring out of the carotid artery like a fountain. Ash avoided the area where the blood was spurting with some disgust, and approached the troll's corpse from the side.

It's a forest troll, and its green skin almost blends in with its surroundings. In addition, as they are natural magical creatures, they are born with the ability to eliminate their own breath, and once the trolls are hidden, ordinary people will not be able to find out at all.

Unfortunately, despite weighing a ton, trolls have brains the size of boogers. Their stupid intelligence is completely incapable of learning to use their racial talents to hide themselves, and will only roar and rush at the moment they see their enemies, for fear that others will not find them.

But no matter how stupid they may be, trolls are real magical creatures, and their skin is extremely resistant to magic. Ordinary wizards can't break the defense at all, and even if they can, it will be difficult to hurt their vital points, and they can only be beaten to death by the trolls in the end.

But trolls, like other magical animals, have a very high value for their body parts.

For example, their snot can be used to craft invisibility potions.

Ash took out the glass bottle from Snape from his pocket and used his wand to collect some troll's snot - there was a disgusting smell in the troll's snot, like a mixture of durian + snail powder + Xiang, which was unbearable, and Ash's expression was obviously disgusted.

But just as disgusting as this thing is, it's also worth a lot and is very popular in the wizarding world, after all, not all wizards can successfully defeat trolls on their own.

Disposing of the troll's corpse, Ash discerned his direction for a moment and continued deeper into the forest.

At the same time, at the top of a large dark tree, an owl was quietly watching all this.

The natives of the Forbidden Forest are not only trolls, but also centaurs, who are among the most threatening creatures in the Forbidden Forest. Centaurs generally live in the deepest part of the Forbidden Forest, and have never been in contact with wizards, and rarely come into conflict.

And Ash is going to be far from the centaur settlement, so there is no need to worry.

Ash stealthily walks in the Forbidden Forest, stopping at areas with slightly sparse branches to discern his way.

"If I'm not mistaken, it should be right in front ......"

Ash muttered to himself, when a howl suddenly sounded in his ear:

"Whew!"

"Wolves?"

Ash's expression changed slightly, and he muttered in a low voice, "I don't remember that there were wolves in the Forbidden Forest. ”

This is a lie.
