15 Chapter 15

Knock Knock Knock –

After knocking on the door three times, Jason politely stepped back, straightened his outfit, and waited for the door to open after making sure there was nothing inappropriate.

The door was quickly opened, and a beautiful face peeked out of it, and when he saw Jason, his face immediately filled with a warm smile.

"You must be Jason! You're as handsome as Peter said! ”

Jason said with a smile. "Then you must be Ms. Parker, and you are as beautiful as Peter said."

"Oh," Aunt May said, clutching her chest. "You're such a little sweetheart, just call me May. Come in, Peter has been waiting for you for a long time. ”

"Oh my God, you don't know how long he's been preparing for this party... Oh well, it's not a party, he's a nerd, he doesn't know how the young people are having fun now, so if you don't think it's enough to have fun later..."

May said as she welcomed Jason through the door.

Ah, this is definitely Peter's own aunt, yes. Jason sighed in his heart.

"Welcome! Jason! Peter ran eagerly, followed by a chubby young man.

"You must be Ned?"

"Oh, that's right." Ned nodded, looking at Jason in admiration. "Oh my God, Peter was right."

"What?" Jason raised an eyebrow.

"You're as big as Captain America!"

"Hey! Ned! Peter covered Ned's mouth. That's our private conversation! If you don't know what to say, don't talk! ”

"Poof, it's okay Peter, I don't mind, let alone compare me to Captain America." Jason winked playfully. "Ah, by the way, Ned is running out of breath."

Peter let go of his hand and began to spin around like a hospitable puppy.

"Come on! Jason! You can start by playing games or building Lego with Ned, and dinner will be ready in no time! ”

Jason then noticed that Peter was wearing an apron.

"You're cooking?" He raised an eyebrow suspiciously.

"Some confidence in me! Buddy! Peter defended himself. I promise it's going to be the most delicious dinner you'll ever have! ”

"Yes, trust him." Ned leaned into Jason's ear and said. "You should look at the kitchen trash can, which is full of test items. Alas, poor steak, I really don't know how Peter has the ability to fry solid steak into liquid. ”

"Ned!" Peter's face flushed.

Jason couldn't help but laugh.

"Alright, boys, stop teasing Peter." Mei came out at the right time to play a round to relieve her nephew. "Let's go play in the room and leave Peter plenty of room to play, okay?"

"Of course, Aunt May."

The two who were herded into the room looked at each other and shrugged helplessly.

"Well, Peter's room really suits his personal style." Jason looked around.

Clothes thrown everywhere, scattered books, various superhero posters put up, and many games on the desk.

A standard teen room.

"It'sβ€”" Jason picked up a picture on the bedside table.

In the photo, a loving couple affectionately hugs the smiling boy in their arms.

He could faintly see Peter's shadow on the boy's face.

"That's Peter's parents." Ned sat down on Peter's bed and received the magazines thrown all over the bed.

"You know how they're... Hmmmβ€”" Jason pursed his lips, not knowing how to put it more tactfully.

"Air crash, if that's what you mean." Ned said. "Peter never mentions his parents much, and we don't talk about them much, but don't worry, he's made it."

There was sadness in Jason's eyes.

He turned his head, his gaze drawn to something small.

It was a torn pizza box with Spider-Man's signature on it.

It was the gift Jason gave him.

The signature was well preserved, sealed in a special plastic bag, which is enough to show Peter's intentions.

"You know what? At first, I wondered why Peter kept Spider-Man's signature. Ned said with a smile. Until he told me it was a gift you asked for from Spider-Man just for him. ”

"Ah, but I seem to have done it too much." Jason scratched his head. "I didn't know that Spider-Man and Peter were so familiar, and Peter definitely didn't like a gadget like signing a sign."

"No, no, no, he's happy, really." Ned nodded vigorously. "You know what? You are Peter's only friend. We were the most unpopular and hated nerds in school, and Peter was in poor health and I was chubby all the time, so we were bullied all the time, and basically no one wanted to be friends with us at school. But you, you are willing to ask for an autograph for him, and you are willing to listen to Peter's nagging, although Peter did not say it explicitly, but Aunt May and I can see how much he cares about you. ”

The tips of Jason's ears are reddish. "I also care about Peter, who is one of the few friends I have."

"Really?" Ned scrunched suspiciously. "Dude, you're handsome and have a good body, and God knows I want your pecs and abs. I'm telling you, you're definitely the kind of character that a campus cheerleader would like, not to mention that you have a good personality, God, if I wasn't a straight guy I'd definitely like you! ”

Jason scratched his head, but didn't answer.

There was a knock on the door of the room, and Mei walked in with juice and cookies.

"Hey, boys, let's have a pre-dinner dessert."

"Thanks, May." Jason quietly breathed a sigh of relief, and he picked up the cookie and stuffed it into his mouth. "Well, these cookies are delicious, and..."

It's as delicious as anyone who makes it? Jason blinked.

Forgot.

"I'm glad you like my craft." Mei's eyes crooked with a smile as she put the plate down and withdrew.

"I'm going to show you something cool, Jason." Ned beckoned to Jason. "This is the work that Peter and I have been working on recently."

"A robot dog?" Jason was intrigued. "This looks amazing!"

"Uh-huh." Ned was smug.

He lowered the robot dog to the ground and took out the remote control.

"Look at this." He controls the remote control and makes the robot dog move.

Walking, running, simple actions can be done by the robot dog perfectly.

"I always knew you two were smart, I just didn't expect such geniuses." Jason exclaimed.

This kind of execution robot is made by two middle school students, and no one will believe it.

"We're going to refine it a little bit and put voice recognition or something." Ned put away the robot dog, and with ease, he dragged a cardboard box from under the bed and took out the gamepad inside.

"Come on Jason, how about we play the classic battle game? I'm very strong! ”

"Okay, but I haven't played it, so you'll have to let me go."

"It's easy to say, it's easy to say."

Five minutes later, Ned stared at the display of his fallen character and fell into self-doubt.

He turned his head to look at Jason, his small eyes revealing a big puzzle. "You really haven't played?"

"Nope." Jason shook his head obediently. "Maybe this luck is better?"

"Uh-oh." Ned nodded, and there was some truth to this. "Then one more."

"Okay."

Three minutes later, Ned's character falls to the ground again.

"Are you really really a newbie?" Ned couldn't help but raise his voice. "Dude, it's not good to be overly modest."

Jason shrunk his neck. "It really was my first day of playing."

A minute later, Ned was expressionless, completely doubting life.

Great, he could last five minutes at first, but now he barely survives even a minute.

He silently covered his heart.

He no longer trusts the so-called novices.

"How did you manage to be so responsive?" Ned was puzzled, really puzzled. "Are your fingers robotic fingers?"

"Uh," Jason stroked his chin and said in a deep voice. Is this what is called talent? ”

"Ahh Ned clutched his chest and collapsed. "My heart has been struck!"

"Poof." Jason laughed.

"Ned, Jason, dinner is ready." Peter opened the door with a proud little expression on his face.

"Come on!" Jason put the game away and patted Ned on the arm. "Gone."

At the dinner table, Jason savours Peter's handmade steak.

Well, it's time to say it or not, it's really good.

The steak is delicate and delicious, and the flavor of the meat is just right with a small amount of condiments.

"How?" Peter asked.

Jason swallowed the food in his mouth. "Great!"

Ned also gave a thumbs up.

This dinner was warm and comfortable, and it can be regarded as the most gentle farewell.

"Bye, remember to contact us from time to time when you go to another city." Peter wiped his nose.

"Isn't that a matter of course, we're friends." Jason smiled. "Bye."

He reluctantly left.

Jason didn't rush back to his little apartment, but set off for another location.
