16 Chapter XVI
Danlan Restaurant.
The tranquil setting is accompanied by elegant Chopin, and the waiters in neat costumes move lightly from table to table.
It's ten o'clock, and there are still quite a few people dining here.
As soon as Jason pushed the door open, a waiter greeted him.
"What can I do for you, sir?"
"I have an appointment." Jason lifted the gold-rimmed glasses on his face. "Boris Moulton."
"Ah, it turned out to be a guest of Mr. Moulton, please come with me." The attendant nodded respectfully and led Jason to a table.
A well-dressed gentleman was waiting, with a slight bald area on the top of his head, a large, hooked nose, and small but shrewd blue eyes above the hooked nose.
Well, the eyes of a businessman.
"You must be Boris Moulton?" Jason asked.
Boris Morton turned his head, a subtle look of surprise flashing in his eyes at the sight of the comer. "Mr. Todd?"
"It's me." Jason curled the corners of his mouth and held out his hand politely. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Moulton."
"Ah, it's my pleasure too." Boris Morton also held out his hand.
After the two symbolically shook hands, Jason sat down.
"Let's see what we need."
"You please." Jason said politely. "I'm free"
The service staff handed the menu to Boris Moulton.
Boris Morton didn't take it. "Then your signature dish here."
"Yes, sir." The attendant respectfully stepped back.
"So, what do you think of my proposal?" While waiting for the meal, Jason was the first to speak. "I came with full sincerity, Mr. Moulton, you can open the conditions, and I will meet all that I can satisfy."
Boris Morton sighed. "I know that it's not something ordinary people can do to buy a company that has just committed a crime right under the nose of an Avenger."
Jason lowered his eyes and tapped his fingertips lightly on the tabletop. "You're really exalting me, Mr. Moulton, I bought the wreckage of the Walpole Enterprise by legal procedure, and the means are completely regular, if you don't believe me, you can go and look it up."
Boris Morton didn't reply, just picked up the wine glass on the table and took a sip.
"Don't worry I'm related to a criminal like Walpole." Jason tugged at his tie, revealing his protruding Adam's apple. "I'm a good citizen."
Boris Moulton's eyes were slightly dark, and his blue eyes were hidden behind his eyelashes.
"I'm sorry, I can't work with you."
"Why?" Jason frowned in confusion.
At this time, the service staff happened to come over with a plate with a silver lid and put it on the table.
Boris Morton sighed again, and he quickly got up. "Because the dead cannot cooperate."
In an instant, Jason understood and immediately turned over and hid under the table!
At the same time, the waiter violently opened the lid and quickly picked up the contents of the plate and pointed it at Jason.
It's not fancy food on the plate, it's guns that kill people!
Bang bang –
The man fired several shots, but Jason dodged in advance, and all the bullets hit the seat.
Great, it looks like I've picked the wrong person!
Hell knows this guy is the same guy as Walpole!
"I'm sorry, Mr. Todd, I appreciate you." Boris Morton stood far away, hands in his pockets. "But who made you mess with someone you shouldn't mess with."
"Damn it!"
Jason lifted the chair and threw it on the attendant, turning and running backwards as he paused.
However, he was saddened to find that all the passages were locked.
Not only that, but all the guests got up in unison, pulled out their guns from under their seats, and stepped forward to surround Jason.
This whole restaurant is a game made for him alone!
"Wow, for such a big battle to catch me? I'm so honored. A cold sweat broke down Jason's back.
The thumb of his right hand unconsciously pressed his index finger.
It's really damn bad.
"Jay, now it's time for [Knight] to come out!" Alpha flapped his wings and flew to Jason's side.
Yes, he still has a life-saving system. Jason calmed down a little.
"No, I don't want to reveal the knight's identity yet." Jason replied in his heart.
"Can someone make me die?" Jason pulled over the chair that had fallen to the ground and sat down calmly.
The men surrounded themselves but did not shoot, apparently waiting for someone's orders.
Footsteps rang out, and the crowd automatically moved out of the way to make way for the passers.
"You've impressed me, mysterious Mr. Todd."
The visitor was dressed in a black coat, wearing a black hat of the same style, and his right eye was covered by a black blindfold, like a pirate.
"You're the one who wants my life?" Jason narrowed his eyes.
"No, my boss to be exact, I'm just a part-time worker." Someone took off their hats to salute Jason. "Kyrie Walker, my name."
Jason carefully thought about which big guy would want his little life, and suddenly a name popped into his head.
"Penguins?" He blurted out.
"Oh, don't let the boss hear this nickname, he'll be angry." Carey Walker said.
Looks like I guessed right.
"Why did you kill me?" Jason asked. "Can I do anything? Walpole's business had nothing to do with me, I just bought the company as a businessman. ”
"Hehe, do you think the boss will believe this kind of rhetoric?" Kyrie Walker shook his head with a smile. "You hurt him and lost a batch of weapons, a good customer, and he also lost his reputation, and the boss will not let you go."
"That's why I said it wasn't me." Jason covered his face silently.
At most, he showed Spider-Man a way, and the rest was obviously done by Spider-Man and Iron Man. And from the very beginning, Spider-Man has his eye on that batch of weapons, and he plays a minimalt role.
"Hahaha! You're being beaten like a fool! "Crazy Bunny July didn't know when he ran out and was holding Jason's calf and laughing breathlessly." Hahahaha! They won't listen to you at all! Brat! These people are □□ who kill people without blinking! ”
He jumped on Jason's shoulder and patted him on the chin. "09 and Alpha are both playing, it's my turn this time!"
"What do you mean?" Jason wondered.
"To confront □□, of course, you have to use □□ ways." July laughed wickedly. "Let's work together to let them know what the real □□ looks like!"
Alpha on the side rarely expressed any objections, and she was carefully grooming her feathers.
"I don't want to be on the spot." Jason frowned slightly. "Is there a way not to reveal your identity?"
"Don't worry, it won't be exposed, our system is equipped with a lot of programs." July excitedly tugged at his long ears. "It's going to be a great party tonight!"
Jason blinked in confusion.
……
"Don't worry, you'll die painlessly." After doing his dutiful answer to Jason's questions as a villain, Kyrie Walker turned and left.
"So, you're saying you won't let me go?" Jason spoke suddenly.
Kyrie Walker looked back in confusion, he seemed to feel the guy in front of him suddenly change. "Of course."
"You're going to regret it." Jason tilted his head, a smile curling into his mouth. "Who told you I came alone?"
Kyrie Walker's hairs stand on end, and years of experience have given him amazing instincts.
And now his instinct was that he was going to die!
"Kill him!" He commanded.
Dozens of swarthy muzzles were raised at the same time to aim at Jason.
In an instant, countless bullets poured out!
Ding Dong Ding Dong –
This is not the sound of a bullet entering □□.
“Holy crap。” Someone cursed.
Everyone involuntarily lowered their guns and silently watched the extra people in the restaurant.
The weird guy with the enclosed red hood.
Kyrie Walker couldn't help but take a step back and stare warily at the comer.
The man was wearing a tight black jacket with a red hooded jacket and a pair of brown cargo pants underneath. It may seem ordinary, but the explosive muscles bulging under the clothes are not something ordinary people can have.
But the most striking thing is the red hood on this guy's head.
The brilliant bright red, as if soaked in blood, makes people shudder.
Dangerous! It was the only thing he felt from the person in front of him!
"Who are you?" He asked nervously. "How did you show up out of nowhere?"
The visitor did not answer, but said in an aria.
"You're going to get in trouble, rookie."
He lowered the arm that was blocking in front of him, and hundreds of metal bullets fell to the ground with a clang, and there was not even a single abrasion on his body, let alone a bloody hole.
Jason stood up and leaned lazily against the visitor, a smile on his lips. "Didn't you know you were coming?"
"Oh, I should have let you just be shot into a sieve."
"No, you won't." Jason said with a smile.
“Fuck!” The ease of the two infuriated Kyrie Walker, whose face twisted, "Shoot!" Shoot! Kill them! ”
"Hide." He pinned Jason under the table. "Don't look."
What happened behind the scenes, Carey Walker didn't know, or he resisted knowing.
Because it was hellish to see, with blood, severed limbs, and screams filling his brain.
For the first time, he felt that ordinary people were so powerless in front of superhumans.
"Remember my name, go tell your boss and make him wait for me."
These were the last words that Carey Walker heard.
"I'm Red Hood."
He was incredibly glad he had survived.
