Chapter 3: After the Snubbing
It has been ten days since Lillard placed me in this palace of red roses.
I don't seem to be upset about this, I think it's probably because I don't remember, so I also forgot that I used to love Leillard, and even forgot that as a queen, I have the right to ask Rirad to appear.
I gently placed the ivory comb in my hand on the dresser, and looked at myself in the mirror with a blank look.
Compared to when I first woke up, I looked pretty much the same as in the portrait, except for ...... Eyes.
Raise your hand and touch my red eyes, yes, Vivien said, it was a symbol of the queen's status.
Vivien was the maid assigned to me by Lilard, and the day after I woke up, Vivien was sent by Lilard, along with four other maids whose names I couldn't name.
"Vivien......" I turned around and called out the door, but Vivien didn't show up.
I'm a little confused, in the past, as soon as I called, Vivien would show up.
Pushing open the door, I saw Vivien.
Vivien was lying on the ground, her face was pale, her body had been killed, and she had a wooden stake stuck in her heart.
Vivien died, and I knew there would be this day, and I knew it was because she was so good to me.
The day after Llillard left, I heard the woman's voice, right in my head, warning me not to be delusional about being able to get Llard, and that in order to show me my own incompetence, she would destroy me with her own hands, including those who were good to me.
Vivien told me the other day that the woman I had in mind was Countess Sharman.
Countess Sharman is now the most favored woman by Lard's side, a strange woman with both beauty and power, ruthless and tough-hearted.
I called the maids and watched as they moved Vivien's body away.
On this day, I didn't take a step out of the bedroom, and sat on the bed all the time, thinking about why Lillard had brought me here, and why he had left me alone here......
Sitting on my knees in a duvet embroidered with red roses, I wanted to cry, but I couldn't, because vampires don't have tears.
The knock on the door had been going on ......for an afternoon, but I didn't bother to pay attention to it.
"Queen...... Are you in there?" the cold voice was a little impatient, and I thought that the maids who had been sent to take care of me really didn't want to stay here.
"I want to see Lyrad!" I rushed to the door, slammed the door open, and frowned at the maid standing outside the door, "Tell Llard that I want to see him!"
The four maids stood at the door, and when they saw me coming out, they restrained the impatience and disgust in their eyes, and they all took a step back, bowing their heads and not daring to look at me.
"Do you hear me?" I painted the sleeves of my shirt frantically, and the cuffs embroidered with gold thread scratched the face of the girl closest to me, and a long streak of blood was hideous.
The girl gritted her teeth hard, raised her hand to caress the wound, raised her head and looked at me coldly, her eyes with more viciousness than disgust.
I watched as the wound on the girl's face slowly healed, then I raised my hand and slapped her again.
The ring on her hand once again pierced her handsome face, and dark red blood ran down her pointed chin, splashing a pool of blood at her feet.
Seeing her clutching her left side of her face in pain, I sneered and raised my right hand to look at the rose ring on my index finger.
The ring contained some wood powder, and her face would never heal again.
