Chapter 16 The Netherworld II

First of all, the Dongyue Emperor, who has the highest status, is in charge of all living beings on the earth.

Then there was the Emperor of the Northern Yin Dynasty

After that, there were five ghost emperors: the Eastern ghost emperor Cai Yulei and Shen Tu, who governed the ghost gate of "Taozhi Mountain".

Western ghost emperor Zhao Wenhe, Wang Zhenren, rule "Lingzuka Mountain"

Northern ghost emperors Zhang Heng and Yang Yun, governing Luo Yu Mountain;

Du Ziren, the ghost emperor of the south, ruled Luofu Mountain;

The central ghost emperor Zhou Qi and Ji Kang governed the "calf mountain"

Then below is the six days of Luo Yu (the following is the name of the palace, and the six days are the gods of the palace)

The Heavenly Palace, the Heavenly Palace, the Heavenly Palace, the Heavenly Palace, the Heavenly Palace,

Tianzhao Sinful Qi Heavenly Palace, Zongling Seven Non-Heavenly Palace, and Dare Si Lianwan Repeated Heavenly Palace.

According to legend, the Yin Cao Difu is controlled by the ten palace Yama kings, and the ten palace Yama kings are called: Qin Guang King, Chu Jiang King, Song Emperor, Wuguan King, Yama King, Equality King, Taishan King, City King, Bian Cheng King, and Wheel King.

King Qin Guang -- in charge of the books of longevity and premature death, birth and death in the world, and unified management of the punishment of the underworld and the auspicious and evil in the afterlife. The Ghost Judgment Hall is located in the middle of the sea, outside the Wojiao Stone, and on the Huangquan Black Road due west.

The King of Chujiang - presides over the bottom of the sea, the living hell under the Wojiao Stone in the south.

Emperor Song - the king of the sea is in charge of the bottom of the sea, the black rope hell under the wojiao stone in the southeast.

The King of the Five Senses - the one who rules the hell at the bottom of the sea, under the Wojiao Stone in the east.

King Yama - presides over the bottom of the sea, and calls the Great Hell under the Wojiao Stone in the northeast.

King Bian Cheng - is in charge of the bottom of the sea, and shouts under the Wojiao Stone in the north to call the Great Hell.

King Taishan, in charge of the great seabed, the hot hell under the Wojiao Stone in the north of Ding.

The king of the city, in charge of the bottom of the sea, is the great hell of the great heat under the fertile stone in the west.

The King of Equality, in charge of the Great Undersea, the Great Hell of Abi under the Wojiao Stone in the southwest.

The king of the wheel, the palace is outside the wojiao stone in the underworld, due east, directly facing the place of the five turbid worlds.

There are also chief judges Cui Fujun, Zhong Kui, black and white impermanence, bull head and horse face, Meng Po God, etc. That's how the whole Netherworld is like this. Among these unique Chinese systems of the gods of the underworld, there is also a Jizo Bodhisattva created by Buddhism in order to better preach in the land of China. King Jizo Bodhisattva intends to transcend all the ghosts of the underworld, so that the world will no longer do evil and will no longer fall into the underworld and suffer in the underworld. Therefore, all the ghosts, although they have committed mistakes in this world, if they sincerely repent and change their ways, they can be lenient for their sins and be spared from suffering.

On the one hand, if there are no more evil deeds such as killing in the yang world, and on the other hand, the ghosts of the Jizo King Bodhisattva who have been tortured will no longer appear in hell (hell is used to punish those who make mistakes in the yang world), and the Jizo King Bodhisattva will be able to attain enlightenment and become a Buddha. The so-called "hell is not empty" refers only to the genus of lonely souls and evil ghosts, not to the literal understanding of "hell should be empty" as the nitpickers literally.

Six Cases of Merit:

Gong Cao was originally a feudal official name, also known as Gong Cao History, the beginning of the Western Han Dynasty, the main assistant of the county guard and the county order, and was in charge of the selection of the merit.

In the myths and legends of the underworld, the six cases of Gong Cao are the official names of the underworld: King Qin Guang, who is in charge of the books of longevity and death, birth and death, and unified management of the punishment of ghosts and the good fortune and evil in the afterlife. He has "six Gong Cao" under him, three in the left class, in charge of the heavenly cao, earth cao, and the underworld cao, and three in the right class, in charge of the god cao, human cao, and ghost cao. The duty of the six Cao is to present the official documents and reports of the underworld to the Yin Tianzi in a timely manner, and quickly send the edict of the Yin Tianzi to all places. According to folklore, all expressions and reports that need to be "ascended to heaven" in the world will be "presented" by Gong Cao after they are burned, and then Gong Cao God next to King Yama will submit official documents and reports to King Yama.

The Four Judges:

The judge is the name of the official of the underworld in ancient legends, which is derived from the judge of the underworld in traditional Chinese culture. The long fierce gods are vicious, insidious and cunning, but most of them are kind and upright people at heart. The duty is to sentence people to reincarnation of life and death, punish the bad guys, and reward the good guys. The judge is located in the temple of the Son of Heaven in the capital and is in charge of judging the ghosts who have come to the underworld.

The four most famous judges are: the Division of Rewarding the Good, the Division of Punishing the Evil, the Division of Inspection, and the Judge Cui.

Reward Shan Si: In charge of Shanbo, dressed in a green robe, with a lovely smile. All the good imps before their lives are arranged by him, and they will be rewarded according to the degree and amount of good deeds before their deaths. In the six realms of reincarnation, either ascending to heaven and becoming a god, or reincarnating as a human being, you only need to drink a bowl of ecstasy tea at the dream woman's place, and punish the evil priest: wearing a purple robe, with angry eyes. His lips were closed, and he looked businesslike. All the ghosts who come to report are reflected in front of the mirror of evil, showing good and evil, and distinguishing between good and bad. He sentenced according to the principle of "four noes and four nos" of the king of Yama, the four nos - disloyalty, unfilial piety, untrustworthiness, and disbelief; the four nos - rudeness, unrighteousness, incorruptibility, shamelessness, light punishment for minor crimes, heavy punishment for serious crimes, and then handed over to the evil punishment platform, sent to the eighteen layers of hell, until the sentence is completed, and then handed over to the reincarnation hall, pulled to turn into a cow and a horse, a worm into a dog, etc., and return to the yang world.

Chachasi: His eyes are like electricity, he is upright, and he looks righteous and awe-inspiring. Its duty is to let the good get good rewards, good things are promoted, and the evil people are punished as they deserve: he is the number one person in the well-known Yin Cao Difu, dressed in a red robe, holding a life and death book in his left hand, and holding a soul hook pen in his right hand, specializing in the task of adding life to the good and letting the evil return to the yin. According to the "Two Travels", this public surname is Cui Mingyu, who was a minister under the control of Li Shimin, Taizong of the Tang Dynasty, and was promoted to the county order of Zizhou Prefecture, and was later promoted to the Ministry of Rites. Before his death, he was an official and upright, and after his death, he became the most trusted judge of the king of Yama, in charge of the investigation department, rewarding the good and punishing the evil, managing the life and death of people, the crown of power in ancient and modern times, you see that he holds the "life and death book" and the soul hook pen, just a hook ~ point, who should die and who should live is only in the moment. According to legend, Judge Cui's name is Jue, and he is a native of the Sui and Tang dynasties. Tang Zhenguan entered the seventh year (633) and was the eldest son of Luzhou. It is said that it can "manage the affairs of the sun during the day, break the injustice of the underworld at night, and pick people and ghosts, which is better than a god." There are many legends of Cui Jue's case, among which the story of "Ming Jue's Evil Tiger Hurting People" is the most widespread. The story says: There is a big mountain at the junction of the southwest of Changzi County and Qinshui, called Diaohuangling, and there are often fierce beasts in the past. One day, a woodcutter went up the mountain to chop wood and was eaten by a tiger, his widowed mother was in pain, and went to the court to shout grievances. Xian in front of the mountain temple will be recited and offered to the gods, and then a tiger from behind the temple burst out, to the front of the Xian, let it be bound with iron chains. The evil tiger was detained to the county office, and Jue was immediately promoted to the court. In the hall, Jue counted the crimes of the evil tiger for hurting people, and the evil tiger nodded again and again. The final verdict: "The crime of cannibalism should not be forgiven." The tiger touched the stairs and died. At that time, Tang Taizong died suddenly because he was involved in the case of Jinghe Laolong, and went to Yin Si Sancao to confront him. So Wei Zheng trusted him to repair the book, and Cui Jue not only protected Tang Taizong's safe return to Yang, but also privately added 20 years of yang life to him. On the way back to Yang, Taizong encountered sixty-four smoke and dust swept by him, and thousands of unjust souls who died tragically in the seventy-two grass robberies came to ask for their lives, and Cui Jue came forward to resolve the dispute and help Li Shimin borrow a treasury of gold and silver to appease the ghosts, and Taizong had to get out. Cui Jue also became famous because of this, and made a windfall from it. After Cui Jue's death, the people set up temples in many places to worship.

(These were tens of thousands of years ago, how many are still alive today?, I don't know, because ordinary people can't get in.)
