Chapter 56: Let's go
It turned out that when they set off, they had already negotiated, and the store sent someone to drive to the big wind, and then the driver brought the car and the horses back.
At first, the store also did this, and the store sent a subordinate to drive to the Ma'anshan Post Station.
After lunch, I didn't have much money and had learned to drive a car before, so I took the initiative to discuss with the driver and let the driver go to sleep, and he would catch up with him for the rest of the journey, and he would not lose a penny of his salary at that time.
Why don't you do it, you get to play again, and your salary is earned again, and you have to do it again.
From the beginning of Ma'anshan, there is not much money to drive, and there is nothing wrong, so I passed the Jinji Mountain Post Station, and arrived at the Yinji Mountain Post Station, and the Yinji Mountain Post Station walked three miles of road and arrived at a fork in the road.
There are two roads in front, one to the left and one to the right, and on the left there is a sign made of cloth, but because the cloth is wrapped in the wind, it is difficult to read the words on it.
There is also a sign at the intersection on the right, with three words "Dadakou" on it, and the wind is blowing the cloth to keep swinging, although the words can be seen, but if you don't pay attention, you will make mistakes.
When the money was not much, the three men and the coachman fell asleep.
He didn't pay much attention to it, and when he saw a sign with a big mouth, he thought that going to the right was the road to the big wind, and the horse galloped to the right around the reins.
It's the wrong one at this fork in the road. The carriage had traveled more than sixty miles, and the sky was getting darker, and then everyone woke up, and the coachman who had been sent to drive the carriage was startled when he saw it:
"Oh my God, how do you take this road? Do you know where this road leads?
This is the road for the dead, and this is the way for the corpse chasers. ”
The groom shuddered as he spoke, and his performance made the four people in the car feel creepy.
Is it true that this road can only be walked by the dead, and the living will become dead as soon as they walk?
After a while, the bolder money didn't say much:
"I can't go back now, it's going to get dark soon, and I usually say that I am bold, but now I am cowardly, and I call myself a martial artist in vain.
Today we are going to see if the way the dead walk can be walked by the living. Come with me if you're not afraid. ”
There is no way for everyone to go back, so they can only go hard.
Because this road is said to be the path taken by corpse chasers, very few people take this road, not even the grooms.
You can only move on. After walking for another four or five miles, there was a four-way intersection in front, the one to the left was wider, and the other two were in a U-shape, stretching far into the distant mountains.
Fifty meters from this intersection, there is a temple behind it, and there is a pavilion to the left of the temple.
The main road on the right passes under the pavilion, which is not very large, hidden between a few cypress trees and miscellaneous trees, and it is not very clear because the sky is dark.
Everyone was also tired, so they all relied on the courage to go to the temple and rest for one night.
The five of them parked the carriage on the side of the road, who would come to find bad luck in this eerie place where birds don't?
No one will come and move their wagon. The coachman untied the horse, tied it to a meadow by the roadside, and took some grain from the wagon and poured it on the grass, so that it could nibble on some weeds and eat something.
The five people walked close to the temple, the temple door was empty, and they saw a wooden board standing outside the temple gate by the left door post, with four big black characters on it: "Dead Corpse Inn".
Seeing these words, the coachman was so frightened that he took two steps back, and kept babbling: "There are dead people, there are dead people." "Don't dare to go in.
Money is not much says:
"Can't you sleep outside the temple? If you don't go in, I'll go in." ”
Tan Buxi approached the temple door, gently pushed his right hand, and then shrank his hand back like an electric shock, and the three accompanying people were so frightened that they turned around and ran.
Tan Buhui stood still and laughed, and pushed the door open again, and then everyone knew that they had been fooled by Tan Buhui.
Driven by Tan Buhui, everyone stepped in one by one except for the coachman, and the coachman saw that he was walking last, so he quickly ran two steps, stepped forward and grabbed Tan Buhui's sleeve, and also walked in.
Unexpectedly, as soon as the coachman pulled Tan Bu's hand, Tan Bu shook his hand, and the coachman fell to the ground with a "horn click", and hurriedly hugged Tan Bu's legs with both hands.
Tan Bu walked away and took him with him, causing a little smile on everyone's faces, and everyone's nervous mood relaxed a little.
When I entered the temple gate, I saw that this temple was very dilapidated, and the four walls still existed, but some had collapsed by more than one meter, and some had been damaged by wind and rain.
As soon as the autumn wind blew, the place where the two walls met, I don't know if it was not made tight when it was built, or if it was later deformed and separated, and the largest crack could reach into a leg.
Occasionally, the sand and crickets on the wall fell down, startling everyone's bodies.
The front and back of the temple are divided into two rooms, and there is an offering table in front of the main hall of the entrance, and only three of the four legs are left, but they can still stand, and there are several offerings on it.
One bunch of bananas was still fresh, and the other two apples were so shriveled that no one dared to touch the apples and bananas, let alone eat them.
The three Bodhisattvas behind the offering table are all missing arms and legs, none of them are complete, the paint on the Bodhisattva's body is very serious, a layer here, a piece there, the Bodhisattva's face due to the drop of paint.
What was not hideous now looks very scary.
There is a small door on the left side of the main hall that is closed, and Tan Buxi is the first to step forward and push the door open, everyone can enter the apse, the wall is similar to the outside, and there are two or three cracks from the top to the foot of the wall.
The floor of the apse is flatter than that of the front hall, and there is actually a simple large bed, six thick columns, connected in series with four thick wooden squares, on which are sparsely laid with a few planks, and some hay is padded on them.
Everyone felt very tired after a day's journey, but they were scared in their hearts, so they squeezed together to rest first, sleepy, but no one was sleepy.
Soon after, a crescent moon appeared above the pavilion, and Hua Duo asked:
"What day is the lunar calendar?
The coachman used his left hand as a pillow on the hay, and pinched the other four fingers with the thumb of his right hand, and said:
"Today is the fourth day of September, yesterday was the third day of September, and the day before yesterday the boss said that he was going to visit relatives, it would not be wrong. ”
In order to alleviate the tension, Hua Duo memorized the ancient Tang poem "Twilight River Yin" there:
"The Song of the Twilight River" Tang Dynasty Bai Juyi
A remnant sun spreads in the water, half of the river is sorrowful and half of the river is red.
Pity the third night of the first month of September, the dew is like a real pearl and the moon is like a bow.
He recited it twice in a row, but no one responded to him, and everyone stared at the small door of the black hole and the cracks in the wall in the faint moonlight.
I don't know how much time has passed, the moon has fallen from the treetops, and the oblique moonlight casts some shadows of leaves like feet, hands and half a head on the broken wall opposite, which looks even more eerie and terrifying.
Everyone didn't dare to look at it, and forcibly closed their eyes.
At this time, on the main road on the other side of the pavilion, I heard the sound of slow-paced walking, and it felt like it was made by a large animal, and the sound of fluttering, fluttering, fluttering, thudging was getting closer and clearer, and it was coming towards their resting place.
Everyone's nervous hearts suddenly rose to their throats, and they didn't dare to come out, so they all closed their eyes and listened with bated breath.
After a few more seconds, I heard a broken gong sound from the side of the pavilion: Kuang-magnetic. Then I heard a long voice like a broken gong:
"Yin up—Yang back—"
Everyone's hearts were even tighter: Is this the legendary Xiangxi corpse chase? Yes, this is Xiangxi's corpse chase.
Here, the author briefly introduces the annual officials to the corpses in Xiangxi.
Legend has it that in ancient times, Chiyou fought with the Yellow Emperor, and the battle was fierce, with rivers of blood flowing and countless casualties.
And there was a tribe from Xiangxi that fought with Chiyou, and many people died.
The leader of the tribe ordered the sorcerer to try to transport the corpse. The wizards under Chiyou's tent tried their best to really "resurrect" the corpse and walk according to the command. And so the exorcism of corpses came from this.
The corpse chaser sewed the deceased's head together, and then the old priest in Tsing Yi placed the cinnabar in seven places of the deceased's head, back heart, chest and heart, left and right hand plates, and foot palms, each of which was pressed with a rune, and then tied tightly with five-colored cloth strips.
It is said that these seven places are the places where the seven orifices enter and exit, and they are sealed with cinnabar runes in order to retain the seven spirits of the deceased.
After that, some cinnabar is stuffed into the ears, nose, and mouth of the deceased, and then plugged with runes.
Legend has it that the ears, nose and mouth are the places where the three souls enter and exit, and in doing so, their souls remain in the body of the deceased.
Finally, the neck of the deceased is covered with cinnabar and a rune is pasted, and the five-colored cloth strip is tied tightly, and then the deceased is put on a dumpling leaf hat, and some covers are worn.
After everything was done, the old man in red finished reciting the incantation and shouted, "Get up!" The dead body of the guest will stand up......
The person who chases the corpse is usually called the corpse chaser. In front of these corpses, draped in black corpse cloth, there is a living person, known locally as the "corpse chaser".
The corpse chaser has to learn three kinds of skills, the first of which is the "standing merit" of the dead body, that is, the first thing is to make the dead body stand up.
The second skill is the "walking exercise", that is, to stop the corpse freely.
The third skill is the "turning skill", that is, the corpse can turn when walking. In addition, there are also "downhill skills", "bridge crossing skills", "dumb dog skills", "soul return skills" and so on.
The corpse chaser has a particular approach called three rushes and three don't rush.
Three rushes. Those who are beheaded (their heads must be sewn together), those who are hanged, and those who stand in cages and die are to be driven out.
Legend has it that because they were all forced to die, they died unconvinced, and they missed both their hometown and their relatives.
Spells can be used to lure their souls, charm them in their corpses, and then use spells to drive them to climb mountains and mountains, and even get on a boat and cross the water to return to their hometown.
Three don't rush. Those who die of illness, those who die voluntarily by hanging their necks by throwing themselves into the river, and those whose limbs are incomplete by thunder and fire cannot be rushed.
Among them, the souls of those who died of illness have been hooked by the king of Hades, and their souls cannot be summoned back from the ghost gate.
The souls of those who cast their necks are "replaced", and they may be in the process of handing over, and if new souls are recruited, the old souls cannot be replaced, and the reincarnation of the old souls will be affected.
In addition, those who died by lightning were all guilty of great sins, and those who were burned by the fire were often incomplete and could not be driven away.
