Chapter 117: Tempering the Mood (Third Update~)
Return to Tibetan Mountain, Longcui Valley. Pen, fun, and www.biquge.info
Among the golden feathers, Song Mingting sketched the last stroke with a talisman pen in his hand, and saw that on the ink bricks, the entire rune seemed to come to life, and then the golden light flashed, and all the runes were drilled into the ink-colored bricks in an instant, and the golden light disappeared after a flash. Song Mingting put down the ink brick in his hand, let out a sigh of relief, and then stood up. The one just now was the last ink brick that had not yet been painted, and after this one was finished, all the bricks were filled with runes.
Then Song Mingting began to build a house. He had already taken the time to lay the foundation, the beams and pillars had been prepared, and the timber that served as the beams and pillars had been picked up one by one on this day, and it took a lot of thought.
In fact, with the means of monks, if you just want to build a house that can shelter from the wind and rain, you don't need to be so troublesome at all. With just a few spells, the house can rise from the ground in an instant.
But of course, his purpose in building this Beppu is not just to build a place to shelter from the wind and rain - ten years later, the Hades Ghost Sect will come to attack the mountain, and ten years will completely rewrite the fate of the sect, and it is not an exaggeration for him that every second counts, in this case, he doesn't want to improve his strength as soon as possible, but it is impossible to spend so much time building a house that has no other purpose except shelter from the wind and rain.
He wouldn't do such a stupid thing even if he was kicked in the head by a donkey!
The reason why he didn't seize the time to improve his cultivation under the advantage of a huge prophet, nor did he improve his root bones as soon as possible, and chose to come to Longcui Valley to build Beppu without knowing what kind of Beppu he didn't know, it was because this matter was very important, far more important and urgent than improving his cultivation, strengthening his root bones, and seizing opportunities.
Because the construction of this Beppu has a threefold meaning for him.
The first meaning is peace of mind.
The process of cultivation is actually also the process of cultivating the mind. If the realm is raised but the state of mind is not raised, there is a risk of going mad, and when it is dangerous, it becomes a "catastrophe". And on the path of cultivation, the further back you go, the heavier the calamity, so the further back you go, the more important the spiritual cultivation becomes. If the cultivation of the mind is too poor, it is easy to hinder the cultivation, and finally form what the monks often call the "bottleneck", and even more serious is the inner demons and calamities, and under the calamity, the slightest carelessness will turn into ashes.
Therefore, after the disciples are included in the door wall, all the major sects have to sharpen them for a few years - first they do not teach the mental method, nor do they teach the spells, they only teach some boxing and swordsmanship to strengthen the body, and then they study the scriptures every day, and even do some things like boiling water and chopping wood, and there is nothing else to do with other wines.
This kind of "practice" is an excellent training for the mind, and if you can appreciate the true meaning of it, the path of cultivation in the future will be much smoother. It's a pity that because of the lack of carelessness, most people can't understand the good intentions of the sect when they are disciples. Only later, when everyone has experienced something and has a certain amount of experience, can it be possible to appreciate the significance of this period of time when they think of the past.
In his "previous life", he was like that. And there is a big problem with his current state of mind, which is a legacy of his "previous life", and it is also the culprit who has made him a little abnormal before.
In his "previous life", although he relied on hatred to cultivate all the way to the peak of my Dao period, and supported him for a long time under the encirclement and suppression of both the righteous and demonic realms, it was an extremely desperate and depressing time after all, so much so that he had already planted demons in his heart.
In other words, although the idea of revenge allowed him to overcome all difficulties and cultivate all the way to the peak of my Dao Stage, it also made him stuck at the peak of my Dao Stage, and he was unable to step into the Yuanming Realm for a long time. Because the driving force that supported him to cultivate all the way was revenge, but he failed to take revenge in the end, so his thoughts were unable to reach it for a long time, and he couldn't step into the Yuanming Realm no matter how much he tried.
The requirement of the Yuanming Realm is that the mind is accessible, and there is no loss, he has not been able to take revenge in his "previous life", the obsession is too heavy, and the demons are too deep, of course, it is impossible to enter the Yuanming period. Therefore, if he wants to go further in this life, the first thing he has to do is to remove the demons in his heart, which is why he began to cultivate the Six Senses and visualize the Blue Lotus Zen as soon as he came back.
And building Beppu by himself can also help him temper his mind and get rid of his demons. This is the experience he gained from his "previous life".
"In his previous life", he had a period of extreme despair. At that time, Master, Senior Brother and others had all passed away, and he was almost the only one left in the entire sect, so all the burdens and all the hopes were pressed on him. But at that time, he simply couldn't bear such a big responsibility and pressure.
At that time, he was eager to improve his strength, but the speed of improvement could not meet his expectations at all, so he became more and more manic, so that after obtaining the Six Senses Visualization Qinglian Zen, because of the mania in his heart, he repeatedly broke his vows in the process of cultivation, and even almost died because of it.
If he hadn't survived then, there would have been nothing to do. Fortunately, after several struggles, he finally learned from the pain, plunged into the deep mountains, found a secret place, settled down, built a courtyard little by little, and started a secluded life. And in the process of settling down, he unexpectedly found that his state of mind was a lot calmer.
Every time a brick is built and a tile is built, the despair and mania that linger in my heart will disappear a point, and when the courtyard is finally completed, although the demons are still there, it has been alleviated a lot. What's more, at that time, his state of mind had completely calmed down, so much so that he later practiced the Six Senses Meditation Qinglian Zen in one fell swoop, and then he sang all the way to the peak of my Dao period.
So what he is doing now is just doing what he did in his "previous life" again.
The second meaning is the Shinto barrier.
"Home" has a special meaning in the world, it is not only a shelter from the wind and rain, but also the cohesion of the efforts of a family or even several generations, and the beautiful vision condensed in it naturally carries a special power, so that even the mortal home has the effect of eliminating disasters and reducing disasters, driving away evil spirits and avoiding ghosts - this is the power of Shinto.
Shinto is a great way that is completely inferior to the path of immortals, demons, Buddhas, demons and witches, and was even the mainstream of the monastic world more than 10,000 years ago.
If the efforts and visions of mortals have such an effect, the effects of the efforts and visions of monks will of course only be stronger. After he built a secluded house, he unexpectedly formed a Shinto barrier around him, which was different from the man-made barrier, but was naturally formed, so it was more hidden, powerful and natural than the man-made barrier.
