Ninety-four Buddhist Meditation (I) (for the leader of the alliance Zhu Yueyue here)
"In the past, this basalt was originally a natural beast, and its temperament was violent and its sins were monstrous. Pen Γ fun Γ Pavilion www. ο½ο½ο½ο½ο½ο½ γ info Coming to my state from overseas, everywhere I go, there will be a boundless tsunami, and the ships and islands will be submerged. People and animals along the coast were also swallowed up. Later, it was the monks of the Heavenly Monastery who made great sacrifices, went forward one after another, and finally sent a great monk to the tip of the nose of this Xuanwu after countless deaths and injuries, and recited Buddhist scriptures day and night to dispel its ferocity. After decades of chanting and probation, the ferocity of Xuanwu was suppressed and it was no longer a disaster. β
In order to prevent Xuanwu from going berserk again, an important task of the abbot of the Heavenly Zen Monastery in the past dynasties was to recite scriptures on the tip of Xuanwu's head and nose every day to calm his heart. The entire sect of the Heavenly Zen Academy also moved to Xuanwu's back, and its original purpose was actually to continue to monitor Xuanwu. β
ββThis is what Huang Chang heard from Changqingzi in the next few days, about the origin of this divine beast Xuanwu and the Heavenly Zen Temple. However, at that time, he had a very unkind imagination in his heart: the reason why the ferocity of this Xuanwu was "suppressed" was probably not because of how powerful the Buddhist scriptures were, but because he was simply nagged and fell asleep - it was no wonder that he was hypnotized by an old monk who chanted the Buddha next to his head for decades.
Of course, the sacrifices made by the monks of the Heavenly Zen Monastery are still very admirable, and the ability to persist for decades to let an old monk lie on the tip of the Xuanwu nose is not eaten or taken off, this ability is really extraordinary. Of course, they also got enough rewards for this - the Heavenly Zen Academy was originally just a small foreign sect that didn't even have a single immortal mountain. But since the sect was transferred to the back of this Xuanwu, it has become a powerful sect in the world second only to Kunlun and Qishan in more than a thousand years, which is the benefit of the divine beast Xuanwu.
ββYou must know that the ultimate criterion for judging the strength of an immortal sect is to see the level of the monks in it. Today, only Kunlun, the two factions of Qishan have the great monks of the Yuan infancy, the so-called "Kunlun Three Sages, Qishan White Eyebrows", which is also the fundamental reason why the two factions are recognized as the heads of many immortal sects in the world as "giant sects".
In order to be recognized as a "large immortal gate", one of the recognized conditions is to have Jindan period monks in charge. As for the distinction between small and medium-sized immortal sects, it is not obvious, mainly looking at the number of monks in the Yuan period and their strength, of course, one thing is certain: only the sect that has a floating immortal mountain, or at least must have a Fa Yuan immortal master, is qualified to be called an "immortal gate", otherwise it can only be called a "Dao gate".
And the Tianchan Daoist Academy is just somewhere between the "Giant Immortal Gate" and the "Large Immortal Gate" - although they currently do not have a Yuanying-level monk, they are guarded by a Zhenshan Divine Beast that is no less than the strength of the Yuanying. It's just that the divine beast Xuanwu is actually not controlled by the Heavenly Zen Academy, which means that if someone tries to attack the Heavenly Zen Academy, it will be counterattacked by the Yuanying-level power. But the Heavenly Zen Temple usually can't use this level of power to attack others. It is not surprising that there is more than enough defense and not enough attack, and it is not surprising that it ranks behind Kunlun Qishan.

For a long time after that, Changqingzi stayed in this heavenly meditation monastery to talk about the Tao and the scriptures with the master of the truth of suffering. And Huang Chang also took this opportunity to cultivate here, although he still failed to break through the induction barrier, his own internal strength has been greatly improved. Huang Chang didn't know how much the wonderful life breath of the divine beast Xuanwu was beneficial to the immortal cultivator, but he could at least feel how much benefit he could gain as a martial artist in this wonderful environment - practicing qigong here was actually two or three times faster than he had been on the West Kunlun Mountain before!
Huang Chang originally had the profound internal force that Uncle Yuan Zhenzi forcibly instilled into him, and it was normal to say that no matter how hard he worked for a long time, he could only consolidate the realm, and it was unlikely that he would break through again. But after practicing here in the Heavenly Zen Monastery for a period of time, he clearly felt that his dantian was about to move, and there were signs of expansion, which showed that his internal strength was becoming more vigorous and heavy.
Later, I heard from Wu Da Niu that the Xuanwu Breath was of limited help to the improvement of the Kunlun Exercises, but it was not as good as the aura on the West Kunlun Mountain, of course, it was much stronger than the Nether mortal world anyway. The immortal sect was established, and the importance of choosing the spiritual land can be seen from this. However, beside this divine beast Xuanwu, it is much easier to cultivate a martial artist than to cultivate an immortal cultivator.
And I don't know if it's a coincidence or deliberately, the beginner disciples of the Tianzen Daoist Academy were originally mainly focused on boiling up their bodies and cultivating external skills, but they could fully cooperate with the advantages of Xuanwu's breath. In this monk temple, you can see a large number of bald and shirtless warrior monks humming and sweating their youth every day, and if the oily tendons and flesh of the body are put in Huang Chang's previous life, they can definitely participate in the highest level of bodybuilding competitions, which is enough to make any picky rotten girl scream.
Wu Da Niu soon became one of them, and Huang Chang occasionally sparred with these Buddhist brothers, but the profound internal skills he was proud of did not make much use here. Almost all of the warrior monks here have a strong internal force, and they are all very good at hand-to-hand combat, Huang Chang's undefeated martial arts record was quickly broken here, and it was broken again and again.
However, his stick skills have improved greatly - these warrior monks all use weapons such as hammers, sticks, and clubs, and are known for their compassion. But Huang Chang didn't think that these themselves weighed a hundred catties, and when wielded, they could reach the power of a thousand catties, and what kind of "compassion" could be reflected in the murder weapon that would cause tendons to break and fracture if rubbed a little, and it was first-class strength to use it to break armor on the battlefield.
After staying in this temple for a long time, Huang Chang gradually learned more about the Buddhist monks, and only then did he know that this Buddhist cultivation method as a whole is from the outside in, and the cultivation method is mainly based on physical cultivation, which is very different from the traditional method of inducing spirit and refining qi on the Shenzhou Continent, and even the evaluation of the power system is completely two standards.
- Basically, for those Buddhist disciples who have just started to learn the art and are about to break through the boundaries of mortals, their strength is roughly equal to that of Taoist Qi Refiners. However, these Buddhist monks rarely use spells, and most of them are mainly engaged in melee combat.
It stands to reason that this is a relatively disadvantaged, but judging from the general evaluation of the immortal cultivation world, the actual combat ability of a Buddhist cultivator who is equivalent to the Qi refining stage is actually no worse than that of a Daomen cultivator - sometimes it is even stronger. For example, when a group fight, or a large-scale war broke out between the immortal gates, when hundreds or thousands of bald warrior monks copied rough and hard guys, and rampage like a human army array, even if the number was equal, the group cultivators of the Daomen often had to flee in the wilderness.
