Chapter 734: The Three Treasures
Three Tianzhu monks sit on the altar.
Under the Dharma platform, on a long table covered with red satin, three so-called Buddha treasures brought from Tianzhu are placed.
At this time, his true face has not yet been revealed.
The many ordinary people who came to see the excitement were actually more here for the three treasures.
As for the lectures, they basically don't understand them.
In these years, the popularity of culture is not high, and the jerky Buddhist scriptures and allusions are even more difficult to understand.
Just when many monks who were waiting for Master Xuanzang to appear and turn the tide of the tide, they all showed despair.
An old and thin white horse, carrying Master Xuanzang, came from afar.
The hairy-faced monkey head with a thunderous mouth, wearing a yellow monk's robe, carrying a Ruyi golden hoop stick on his shoulder, and walking in front of the horse's reins.
"There's a monster... After a moment of frozen, a piercing scream came from the crowd.
Then the crowd of timid onlookers quickly dispersed.
Those who stayed to watch the excitement were either bold people or knowledgeable people.
Looking at the monkey head leading the horse for Master Xuanzang, the three Tianzhu monks who had been sitting on the Dharma platform for three days and three nights, and who had already been like water, changed their faces slightly almost at the same time.
Even through certain channels, I learned about the news a long time ago. But when you see it with your own eyes, you still feel uneasy about kicking.
Tang Chang'an, no one knows the horror of this monkey head.
But in Tianzhu, in the Western countries, the prestige and fierce name of this monkey head can be terrifying to the Buddhas.
Even the legendary Tianzhu monkey god Hanuman deliberately sought out this monkey head to provoke, but was directly smashed and swallowed by this monkey head, replacing the other party's position among the Western gods.
If Chu He understands this, he is afraid that he will have to wonder if the real or false Monkey King is referring to the battle between the Monkey King and the monkey god Hanuman.
Xuanzang has never been an honest monk.
Since others have already bullied the door, he will naturally use means.
Letting the Monkey King lead the horse is a demonstration.
The three Tianzhu monks' three-day cultivation disappeared from the moment they saw the Monkey King, and they all did useless work.
Looking at Master Xuanzang riding on the back of an old thin white horse, thin and small, but tall and tough, with an extraordinary demeanor, like a mountain, the three Tianzhu monks glanced at each other, and one of the monks waved his hand and removed the red silk cloth on the table.
Under the red silk cloth, there are three Buddha treasures.
A robe, a purple gold bowl, and a tin staff.
When he saw these three items, Master Xuanzang's expression also changed.
Where is this Tianzhu Buddha treasure, it is clearly the native thing of the Middle Earth Buddhism.
Those Taoists and monks who were originally looking at the Tianzhu Buddha treasure were also stunned.
The sharp-eyed ones also recognized their origins.
"Aren't these the three Buddha treasures handed down from the Pure Land Sect? !" said an old monk in a low voice. He is also somewhat knowledgeable, and has seen images of these three objects.
It's just that for many years, the Pure Land Temple has never seen the Three Treasures taken out, and they all thought they were lost.
When Master Xuanzang returned to the Tang Dynasty and entered Chang'an, he once wore a brocade robe, and many monks thought that one of the three treasures had always been on Master Xuanzang's body, so there was no appearance.
Now it seems that one of the brocade robes owned by Master Xuanzang and placed here must be fake.
Before Master Xuanzang could speak, on one of the Dharma platforms, a Tianzhu monk with dark skin, big eyes and high nose, red flame painting on his eyebrows, and half of his body covered in gold veil, said in strange Chinese: "Master Xuanzang! When you first entered the West, in order to meet Master Jiexian, you once presented these three treasures as gifts and bribed the gatekeeper at that time. Now that time has passed, we have deliberately traveled thousands of miles to send these three treasures back to your eastern Tang Dynasty. With the compassionate heart of the whole Buddha, I wonder if the Master is willing to accept it?"
As soon as this statement came out, there was an uproar.
Master Xuanzang spent twenty years studying the Fa in the West, and brought back a large number of Western classics.
For the entire Buddhism, the existence of a saint is almost comparable to the Bodhidharma Patriarch who came to Middle-earth to preach Buddhism.
What's more, Patriarch Bodhidharma is still a Tianzhu person, not a Chinese Miao descendant. Where can I compare to Master Xuanzang, the root is red and Miaozheng?
But at this time, what the Tianzhu monk was referring to was that Master Xuanzang was at a loss in virtue.
In order to obtain the true scriptures, some despicable means were used.
He even gave away the three Buddha treasures that had been passed down from generation to generation at Jodoji Temple.
What's more, when Master Xuanzang returned to Chang'an, he was also wearing a brocade robe.
If the one on the table at this time is real, then what Master Xuanzang was wearing at the beginning is fake.
In this way, there is even more suspicion of deception and stealing fame.
Master Xuanzang has just arrived, and it stands to reason that before the formal debate has begun, these Tianzhu monks have already made trouble, and went straight to the point, as if they had thrown out Wang Bang at the beginning and threw out their hole cards.
Looking at the three Buddha treasures on the table, Master Xuanzang's expression gradually became indifferent, and the eyes that looked at them were no longer any different.
There is not the slightest difference from looking at a stone, a flower, or a leaf.
"You don't think it's worth exchanging these three dead things for the true scriptures. But in the eyes of the poor monks, the so-called Buddha treasure is fake, and only the true scriptures that gather the wisdom of my Buddha are priceless. What is the difference between a brocade robe and a rag robe? What is the difference between a purple gold bowl and a broken porcelain bowl when all the images are empty? What is the difference between a nine-tin Zen staff and a dead wood and a branch of dead wood for the same kind of eating? What is the difference between a nine-tin Zen staff and a dead wood branch?"
"The Dharma is in the Pure Land, and the place where the heart is at peace is the place where the body is happy. The Pure Land is in the heart, in the Dharma, not in the utensils. Master Xuanzang said quietly.
His response was brilliant.
Many Middle-earth monks who originally had a sense of collapse of faith showed their expressions like this.
And the Taoist people in the distance looked at Master Xuanzang with the eyes of 'you can really fool', and they learned the secret way in their hearts and took notes.
The Tianzhu monk thought that attacking him with Master Xuanzang's black history would make him panic and knock Master Xuanzang off the altar.
Unexpectedly, Master Xuanzang sarcastically mocked them, just obsessed with external objects, but he guarded Baoshan without knowing it, and was exchanged for foreign objects and dead things for the real Baoshan, but he was still complacent.
"It is worthy of Master Xuanzang, who once discussed the Fa with the five thousand great virtues, but did not fall behind, we have been taught!" Sitting in the middle, his skin was a little fairer, with a little golden light on his forehead, and the Tianzhu monk in a golden and red gauze robe clasped his hands together and said.
This seems to be flattering Master Xuanzang, but in fact, he is looking for himself to go under the steps.
Properly praising your opponent and improving your opponent is actually not harmful to yourself.
If you win, it just shows that you can defeat such a powerful opponent, and you deserve it. Even if it is defeated, it is still glorious despite defeat, and it is understandable.
On the contrary, those guys who desperately belittle and trample on their opponents are really stupid.
Victory is not martial, defeat is embarrassing.
