Chapter 624: The Exodus of Moses (Part II)
However, before Ramses II could rejoice, he heard the bad news, as if a great crisis had struck, and he knew nothing.
"Thy radiance, great Ra, to which even the sun is overshadowed, and thy mercy, which is not even equal to the Nile, may be able to give oracles to thy humble servant for the sake of his piety. Ramses II kowtowed like garlic and begged incessantly.
Seeing this, a hint of pride flashed in the eyes of the Lord, and he said slowly: "My pious servant Ramses II, I am the Lord of all things, and I will naturally grant peace to the people, and now there is a tribe in the Nile Godland, which is the Jews, greedy for money and stingy, but multiplies quite quickly, if it is not stopped, I am afraid that the position of Pharaoh will fall into the hands of the Jews, and all you need to do now is to destroy it, and you must not destroy the Nile Godland." ”
Ramses II tried to ask what to do, but he saw a splendor blooming in Jehovah, and then disappeared. When the light receded and plunged into darkness again, Ramses II woke up and opened his eyes, only to see in the dim light of the oil lamp, Ramses II saw his familiar bedchamber.
After receiving the oracle, the next day, Ramses II suddenly announced a policy: "In view of the greed and wanton reproduction of the Jews, for the sake of the future of Egypt, in accordance with the oracle, all Jewish newborns, as long as they are boys, shall be put to death with immediate effect, and shall not be hidden, otherwise they shall be punished with the same crime."
The Jews, shrewd and scheming, were quick to make a fortune in Egypt, amassing vast assets but also jealousy. Many officials and nobles had long coveted the wealth of the Jews, and now the Pharaoh's policy of almost exterminating the Jews immediately aroused the unanimous support of the officials, which strengthened Ramses II's determination to believe that it was the oracle of the sun god Ra.
And so, a Jewish Holocaust began. Countless wealthy Jewish businessmen were bankrupt and enslaved overnight, and countless newborn baby boys from Jewish families were thrown into the water and drowned, wailing everywhere, but it was impossible to escape the ubiquitous justice of Ramses II.
The Lord knew this, and it stands to reason that the Jews were his followers, and that he should preserve them, not compromise them, or damage his faith, but the Lord knew that because of the heavy wounds of the primordial gods and demons, he could temporarily stir up trouble in the Nile Divine Domain, and once the primordial gods and demons came to their senses, he would only work in vain.
Nowadays, the Jews have occupied a lot of luck in the Nile Divine Domain, as long as they can plan properly, with the help of the hand of the Nile Pharaoh, they can be expelled from the Nile Divine Domain, they can plunder most of the Nile Divine Domain's luck, replenish their own bodies, but this mystery, only the supreme gods can understand, and these luck presumably, not to mention the death and life of some Jews, or all of them have fallen, I am afraid that the Lord will also think it is worth it.
Among the Jews there was a man of the house of Levi who took a woman from Levi as his wife. And the woman conceived, and gave birth to a son, and when she saw that he was handsome, she hid him for three months. Later, he could no longer hide it, so he took a box of cattails, smeared it with stone paint and oil, put the child in it, and put the box in the reed harvest by the river.
The child's sister stood at a distance to know what was going on with him. When Pharaoh's daughter came to the river to bathe, she saw the box in the reed, and she sent a maidservant to bring it. She opened the box and saw the child, and the child wept, and she felt sorry for him as one of the Hebrew children.
And the sister of the child said unto Pharaoh's daughter, Shall I go and call a nurse among the Hebrew women to nurse the child for thee.
And Pharaoh's daughter said, Yes, and the virgin went and called the child's mother.
And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and I will give thee wages for his sake: and the woman took the child and nursed him. And it came to pass, when the child was grown, that the woman took him to Pharaoh's daughter, and became her son: and she called the child's name Moses, saying, Because I had pulled him out of the water.
And when Moses was growing up, he went out to his brethren to see their burdens, and saw an Egyptian beating one of the brothers of the Hebrews. And when he looked to the right and to the left, and saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptians to death and hid them in the sand. The next day he went out and saw two Hebrews fighting, and he said to the bully, "Why do you beat your people?" ”
The man said, "Who made you our prince and judge? ”
Moses was afraid, and said, "This will be known." ”
When Pharaoh heard this, he tried to kill Moses, but Moses fled from Pharaoh and went to live in the land of Midian. And it came to pass one day that Moses was sitting by the well, and the seven daughters of the Midianite priest Yetro went out to draw water and fill the trough to give to their father's sheep to drink. However, near the scorching heat of the equator, desert is everywhere, and water is scarce, so some shepherds come and drive them away.
Moses did not get used to it, so he stepped forward to protect them and help them fetch water for the sheep to drink. When they returned to their father, their father asked, "Why did you come back so early today?"
They replied shyly: "There was an Egyptian who helped us by driving away the shepherds who were bullying us and helping us to fetch water for the sheep to drink." ”
When the priest heard this, he felt the need to be grateful, and he embraced Lee, so he asked his daughter, "Where is he, why did you leave him outside, and invite him to come and eat with us." ”
In this way, the priest Mitro and Moses became acquainted, and the two sides became more and more frequent, and the relationship became more and more close.
Later, Moses agreed to live there, and Etro betrothed his daughter Zipperas to Moses, and Zipporah gave birth to a son.
Moses looked at the infant child and said, "I am a stranger in a foreign land, so I will name this child Geshun."
Yet the Jews continued to live a life of slavery. They appealed to God, the true god of ancient tradition, for help and to help them escape from hard labor.
One day, Moses tended sheep for his father-in-law, Etros, the priest of Midian, and he led a flock of sheep across the desert to Mount Horeb, the holy mountain. There, winged angels blaze with flames and appeared to Moses from among the thorns.
Moses saw the bush on fire, but it was not burned. He thought, "That's strange, why don't the thorns burn down?
When the angel saw Moses approaching, he called out to him from among the bushes, "Moses Moses"
Moses replied, "Yes, here I am"
The angel said, "Do not come any nearer." Take off your shoes, for the place where you stand is a holy place. I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. ”
