Chapter 625: Moses' Exodus (II)

Moses covered his face and did not dare to look at God. Covered in golden light, he looked down on the heavens and said to Moses, "I have seen the mistreatment of my people in Egypt, and I have heard their cries of longing to be freed from slavery." I know their afflictions, therefore come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and bring them into a fertile and wide land, flowing with milk and honey: where the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites dwelt. Indeed, I heard the wailing of my people and saw how the Egyptians oppressed them. Now I have sent you to the king of Egypt, and I will bring my people out of Egypt. ”

But Moses cried out to God, "What am I? How can I go to the king of Egypt and bring out the Jews?"

God Almighty replied, "I want to be with you." And when thou hast brought the Jews out of Egypt, thou shalt worship me on this mountain. This is the proof by which I have sent you. ”

Moses said: "When I go and tell the Jews, 'The God of your fathers has sent me here,' they will ask, 'What is his name?'

God said, "I am the author and the end." Go and tell them, 'The One who called the Creator and the Perfecter has sent me to you.'" I am the Lord, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I have sent you to them, and my name will be the LORD forever, and I will be called this throughout the generations. Go and gather the leaders of the Jews and tell them: I, the Lord, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, have appeared to you. ”

"My people will listen to what you say to them, and then you will take the leaders of Israel to the king of Egypt and say to him, 'The God of the Hebrews has appeared to us. Now allow us to go three days' journey into the wilderness and offer sacrifices to the Lord our God. I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go unless I force him. But I will punish Egypt by all kinds of miracles by my power. Finally the king of Egypt will let you go. I will make the Egyptians respect you, so that when my people leave there, they will not leave empty-handed. Every Israelite woman was to go to her neighbor's house and ask the Egyptian women for gold, silver, jewelry, and clothing. And the Israelites were to clothe their sons and daughters, so that they would take away the riches of the Egyptians. ”

Moses, still troubled in his heart, hesitated for a long time and answered the Lord: "What shall I do if the Jews do not believe me, and do not listen to me, that you have never appeared to me?"

God asked him, "What do you have in your hand?"

He replied, "A rod." ”

God commanded, "Throw it on the ground." ”

Moses threw the rod and turned into a serpent, and he let out an exclamation and fled in a panic.

God said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand and take hold of the serpent's tail." ”

Moses pressed the fear in his heart and reached out to grab the snake's tail, and the snake strangely turned into a staff again.

God said: "By doing so, you will be able to prove to the Jews that the Lord, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, has appeared to you." ”

Then God said to Moses, "Put your hand into the hem of your garment." ”

And when Moses put his hand in and drew it out, he became leprosy, as white as snow, and Moses' face turned pale and he fainted.

God said, "Put your hands in the hem of your garment." ”

So he did so, and this time he came out with his hands, and he was restored, just like the rest of his body.

God nodded and said, "If they don't believe in you, or if they don't believe in the first sign, this one will surely convince them."

But if these two miracles do not convince them, and they still do not listen to you, then take a little water from the Nile and pour it on the ground, and the water will turn into blood. ”

But Moses shook his head and said, "No, Lord, please do not send me." I have never been eloquent, and you have not changed since you spoke to me. I'm such a stupid person. ”

God comforted him: "Who gives eloquence, who makes a man deaf and dumb, who makes a man see, who makes a man blind? Go ahead, and I'll speak for you, and I'll tell you what to say. ”

But Moses was still apprehensive and replied, "No, Lord, please go to the different." ”

Finally, the mighty God became angry with Moses and said, "Don't you have an older brother, Aaron the Levites? He is coming out to meet you, and he must be glad to see you. You tell him what to say, and I will give you and him eloquence, and I will teach you what to do. He will be your spokesman, speaking for you to the people, and you will be like God, instructing him what to say. You take this rod with you, because you will use it to perform miracles. ”

So Moses went back to his father-in-law, Etro, and said to him, "Please let me go back to Egypt to see if my relatives are still alive." Yetro agreed, and said goodbye to him.

While Moses was still in Midian, God said to him: "Go back to Egypt, for those who tried to kill you are dead." ”

So Moses took his wife and his two sons, and set them on donkeys, and set out for Egypt, with the rod that God had asked him to bring.

Then God said to Moses, "When you return to Egypt, you must do before the king of Egypt all the signs that I have given you the power to do." But I will harden his heart, and will not let my people go. Then tell the king of Egypt, Thus saith the Lord: 'Israel is my firstborn.' I want you to let my son worship me, and you refuse, so I will kill your firstborn. ’”

On the way back to Egypt, Moses camped for the night, where God met him and tried to kill him.

So Zeporah, Moses' wife, took a sharp piece of stone, cut off her son's penis, and touched Moses' foot with it.

It was because of this circumcision that Zepolah said to Moses, "Truly you are the husband I bought with the blood of circumcision." ”

Therefore, God did not kill Moses.

At the same time, God came down to Aaron's house and said to Aaron, "Go into the wilderness to meet Moses." ”

So Aaron went to meet Moses on the mountain of God, and when Aaron saw him, he went up and kissed him.

Moses told Aaron all the things that Lord wanted him to do in Egypt, the words he was going to speak, the miracles he was going to do.

So Moses and Aaron went to Egypt and gathered the elders of Israel.

Aaron told them all the things God had told Moses, and Moses performed the miracles that God had to do before the people. And they all believed, and when they heard that the Lord was on them, and that he had seen their mistreatment, they all knelt down and worshipped, and then the Lord sent ten plagues, and Moses led the Jews out of Egypt, and in this way, the Exodus, plundered a great deal of the fortune of the Nile Godland, and caused the luck of the Lord to rise greatly, and he was the head of the gods and demons of chaos.
